Defeat on two fronts
This Congress has voted on a bill to cut off funding to our troops in the middle of a war they voted for, and have handed the terrorists a schedule for our defeat.
At the same time they are doing all they can to fully fund illegal immigrants with my tax dollars, claiming they represent “the American people.”
If Americans truly want defeat in Iraq and unlimited illegal immigration, I fear for our future as a country.
Brenda Winberg, Littleton
"I fear for our future as a country."
So do I Brenda, with talking-points-puppets like you so willingly parroting the Orwellian rhetoric of Dear Leader and the Mayberry Machiavellis.
Try having an original thought once.
Posted by Charles B on May 17, 2007 07:09 AMAt least someone gets it Brenda. Charles, you owe fifty cents to the big word jar, and fifty dollars to the make no sense jar.
Posted by on May 17, 2007 07:27 AMI am right with you Brenda, I fear for this country and our future. I fear that the US and its citizens are heading for 3rd world problems, diseases, hunger, joblessness. This government and this President is and will send this country to a whole new depression.

I have to give him credit. Charles B is the most knowledgable person here when it comes to talking points. He never misses an opportunity to use liberal mantra.
Posted by KW on May 17, 2007 10:09 AMKeep flogging it, KW, maybe it isn't completely dead yet.
Posted by B. Drunk on May 17, 2007 11:10 AMBut for some reason the thing keeps rearing its ugly head. If so I'll have to keep bashing it until dead.
Posted by KW on May 17, 2007 11:18 AMWhat is the "liberal mantra" from your perspective KW?
Posted by Bango Skank on May 17, 2007 11:57 AMBush lied about WMD's
Illegal war
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 (we all know this but you pretend Bush thinks there was a connection)
These are just a few examples and they have nothing to do with "my perpective." They are what they are.
It's just hillarious you guys all keep repeating so many falsehoods like they have any meaning. Why is that?
We learned from all the lying neocons that to play on the same field we better learn the gutter language, only we bother to learn the truth to. We are winning in Iraq just like we won Vietnam and in North Korea, right? And just like back then, it will be our fault for putting a stop to the quagmire that the wars become. It seems we had much better luck bringing down the Soviet Union with economics rather then blood. But if you want to go over their and take charge, KW, you should go, I am sure they will appreciate your head over there.

Posted by Western Slope on May 17, 2007 01:12 PMI've had it. The Bush administration commits one of the worst foreign policy blunders the world has ever seen, and now all they and their head in the sand supporters can do is criticize the adults who have to clean up the mess.
We have been in Iraq for 4 years and if anything the situation is getting worse as time goes on. The people of Iraq dont want us there, the American people dont want us there, the world doesnt want us there. We cant win this occupation when 50% of Iraqis see attacks on our troops as justified.
This administration has gotten us jammed between a rock and a hard place, and no matter how we choose to proceed its going to be ugly.
Whats the Republican plan, endless war? How long are we supposed to stay, how many lives do we sacrafice, how much money do we waste?
Posted by flimflam on May 17, 2007 01:14 PMKW,
Here's a good lesson in why you're not taken seriously. You acuse me of parroting "liberal mantra", for saying the following:
"So do I Brenda, with talking-points-puppets like you so willingly parroting the Orwellian rhetoric of Dear Leader and the Mayberry Machiavellis."
Then, when asked to provide examples you come up with:
"Bush lied about WMD's
Illegal war
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 (we all know this but you pretend Bush thinks there was a connection)"
None of which are germane to my post, and all of which are at the very least debatable on the evidence.
You simply have nothing to back up your shallow ideological stances, so you make stuff up.
End of lesson.
Posted by Charles B on May 17, 2007 01:41 PMSo how many tax hikes before Brenda gets upset about waging a war on one front.
War is expensive
Posted by Bango Skank on May 17, 2007 02:12 PMCharles B - You'll notice I didn't refer to this exact post. I was refering to the gazillion others you post here daily.
What's that one you use so frequently... Bush Elite Custist or some such nonsense. I see that one from you a lot.
Beginning of lesson (for you).
Posted by KW on May 17, 2007 02:35 PMThank you for your excellent letter. I hope that you will continue to speak out for justice and truth.
KW,
Typical of you to make accusations and not be able to back them up.
The term is Authoritarian Bush Cultist, and it describes you perfectly.
Posted by Charles B on May 17, 2007 05:54 PMCharles B - Thank you for the perfect reference to liberal mantra. I knew you'd come thru for me.
I'm sorry I couldn't remember your cute little phrase exactly. It just wasn't important enough to take serioulsy.
You may now advance to level two in your civility lessons. Pop quiz to follow.

It is obvious that President Bush is not your politician of choice. I wonder if you would mind revealing who you think could do the job correctly?
live,
you asked:
"It is obvious that President Bush is not your politician of choice. I wonder if you would mind revealing who you think could do the job correctly?"
It's not about doing it correctly, it about doing it with competence. It's about representing a nation and not a party, and possessing the ability to inspire people.
Who could do better?
I think any President in history prior to George Bush would have done a better job, even Bush senior who Bush Jr. said he would not bother to consult on foreign policy issues would have done a better job.
I could do a better job.

"spoken like a true politician"
Spoken like someone who has nothing to say.
