Dock their pay
If state legislators leave early (“Lawmakers look toward an early out again this session,” May 1), they should not be paid for the full session.

On the other hand, maybe we should pay them more for refraining to pass more laws we don't need.

Posted by Elwood on May 4, 2007 04:27 PMGood riddance!!!!
The less those legislators are in session, the less harm they can cause to taxpayers and other citizens. Three cheers for these hardy souls leaving early!!.....
I'd be willing to pay them to not show up. Dock their pay if they actually attempt to do something.
Posted by clyde on May 5, 2007 06:58 PMThis is ridiculous. Dock their pay for leaving early? You have got to be kidding me. That is the most idiotic statement I have ever heard. They finished 5 days early...BIIIIIG DEAL. So what...They did however pass 225 bills this session and worked in a resonably bipartisan manner to get this all done. I'm no Liberal, but making an outlandish statement like this is pure nonsence and blatently uneducated. Don't emot....be reasonable.
