God and mammon

In her recent letter, Patricia Ulbrich asked if the “In God We Trust” motto being removed from the face of the new $1 coin was a subtle way of easing our country into an “undesirable” change.
Undesirable for whom? For those who really believe in God, our currency, if anything, should say “In The USA We Trust” that this currency has value! I’m not even sure if God has anything to do with our currency.

It is not a faith in God that allows the gas station attendent to take my money. It is the attendent's faith that the currency can be reused for all debts public and private. I am no Bible scholar, but I know Jesus chased the money-lenders out of the temple and now his father's name is being used on money.

This is not about faith, it is about power and control.

Every time we see God somewhere, on public property or money, they "win" points because we have to accept this.

Sean:

"I am no Bible scholar, but I know Jesus chased the money-lenders out of the temple and now his father's name is being used on money."

According to the Bible he did say "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s"

This kid Fresh is destined for hell. Jesus Christ said that anybody who accused someone of being a fool would go to hell; therefore, Fresh will have company because Jesus Christ, the transmogrified Jew, is in hell for using the word "fool" at least three times in his condemnation of others.

"Now therefore, do not be mockers lest your bonds be made strong. For I have heard from the Lord God of Hosts, a destruction determined even upon the whole earth."
Isaiah 28: 22

Your pitiful rantings will be stilled as you stand before the living God.

We`re not ranting against "The Living God", but against Her more obnoxious followers.

Hi, Sharon,

Well, I'll stay gender neutral here; but you certainly have the fundamental principles, as well as the genuine difference, RIGHT ON!

Old Grouch. I just say Her, and Goddess to get some reaction.

People get so set in their ways, need a little shaking up from time to time.

Sharon B. Old Grouch....I think I know what your problem is but it's to hard to pronounce!

Kay-T cool it; I don't mind you picking on Old Grouch; however, keep your tongue off Sharon; and, herein in you may find a double entendre or a pun for you to explain since your are fond of parabolic inference.
