The recent attack against Bob Newman is merely another slapdash attempt by liberals to castigate conservatives. It is perfectly acceptable to attack Christian evangelicals, but it is outrageous to criticize Muslims. We hear little outcry from liberals when the Bible is attacked in our public schools, but all hell breaks loose when a talk-show host is attempting to defend our nation from potential Islamic terrorists. It is, in essence, nothing less than a double standard. We hope that advertisers will not accede to the opinionated demands of critics like ProgressNowAction. And we applaud KOA for its continued support of the “Gunny Bob Show.” It is an indispensable service to the community.

I think it's even more sad that you are saying he was "attempting to defend our nation from potential Islamic terrorists." How is sitting on the air waves preaching to like minded people defending anything? Don Imus was also expressing free speech.

Brian, There is no outcry when the bible is "attacked in our public schools" because the bible is not supposed to be in our public schools. And "it is perfectly acceptable to attack christian evangelicals,

Well, I've never had a muslim come to my door and attempt to proselytize me, either,
but I have these christian kooks come to my door every saturday and sunday attempting to convert me. If a muslim DID come to my door trying to convert me, I'd attack him, too!!
(All religions are bunch of cultist kooks, if you ask me.)

Once again Anderson and his illk are showing their true colors. When they are unable to use actual intelligence and tact during a discussion. They revert to the mindset of elementary grade dropouts and use the volcabulary that mathes their IQ. Should they ever use anything but this meathod, then perhaps people would actually consider what they are saying, until then, please, some one give them a lollipop and send them home to sulk in their rooms.

KOA is a STEWARD of the Public's airwaves, and they are doing a very bad job. KOA by allowing ex-sergeant Newman to masquerade his mean-spirit propaganda as entertainment is having a harmful effect on our society and country. It is similar to when when white supremacists broadcast for radio stations in the South to spew their propaganda about black people.

Bob should be jerked from the public airwaves. It is good so many sponsors refuse to be associated with his hate.

I heard"runny" Bob's bigoted rant, and I say PLEASE, KEEP IT UP, BOBBY. (Actually, I believe that's one of his problems, he can't keep it up, Thats why so many cons are so angry, and use their guns for a substitute for a working penis.)
Cons are their own worst enemy, as the truth is exposed, so is their bullsh*t.

While I don't agree with Gunny Bob's statements, I'm sickened by those who want to yank him off the air. The first amendment is not just for those you agree with, but that seems to have been missed by so many narrowminded people. His statement was well within the law; there was no incitement of violence and no personal libel of an individual.

One of the greatest challenges this nation faces is not from terrorists but from people who make it their business to be incensed by everything. This runaway political correctness is the civic equivalent of irritable bowel syndrome and following this path will only produce a weak and fearful public.

More power to the jerks! We need more people willing to say what they think and give the proverbial finger to the perpetually offended. And those who disagree can kiss my...well, you get the idea.

I'm not sure who's calling for him to be yanked off the air but the airwaves do belong to the public. Just as there's a limit as to the pollution we allow in the air, there should be a limit on the amount of pollution we allow on the airwaves. Hate speech doesn't belong.

Since you think political correctness has run amok, I assume you thought calls for Churchill's firing after his essay was "discovered" were also unjust.

I don't know what Gunny Bob said, but Mike H, Freedom of religion, as in the 1st Amendment, does not mean freedom FROM religion. There is a very large difference that you and the progressives can't seem to understand. And as for Muslims proselytizing at your door, if that happens, they will more than likely be carrying a weapon to kill you, rather than the Koran.
I wish all the crybabies would realize that living in the USA does NOT mean you have the right to NEVER be offended by anything.

I have never had anyone say, "in this instance you do not have freedom from religion" and then fill in the blanks.
