Indians’ payback
While it may be true that Columbus and his fellow Europeans killed thousands of Native Americans, these same Indians caused the death of millions of Europeans by giving them tobacco! Instead of protesting, these Native Americans should be celebrating because they got the “last laugh”!

Many tribes of North American Indians considered stealing horses, women, and the killing of men as a honorable feat if successful and dishonorable if unsuccessful when they raided other tribes. It was an acceptable agressive action that was a basis of boys becoming men and men becoming heroic fighters.
This has been a part of all races all over the world , mostly in the past but, still exists in some undeveloped countries and even in what we call civilized developed countries. The right of the victor to enjoy the spoils of war has a long history which dies hard among those who think they are entitled to what others have if they can take it by force.
No race of people have ever existed without this being, at one time or the other, an acceptable part of their society therfor, it is meaningless for any one to point the finger of guilt at any other. All have been guilty, reds, blacks, whites, browns, yellows and every thing in between. It is time to put to bed the hatred and anger, we are all human beings but, if we cannot forgive and forget, the race of man has no valid future and can only decay into the acceptability of violence as the answer to all our selfcreated problems.

The former is usually used as a justification for our own shortcomings. Only the latter will result in some improvement. Our goal should not be to duplicate their shortcomings, but rather to be like we wish they were.
