Iraq war funding
Brian:
I'm glad you didn't have a say when we where fighting vietnam. We would still be there spending billions with a list of dead of about a million with no end in sight. Theres a big difference in supporting the troops and supporting the war. I wish you republicans and "W" would understand that and quit pushing that bulls--t. That is the only reason why the dems sent that bill to the pres. I was in vietnam and unless you nuke the region a gorilla warefare can not be won. Unless you take the gloves off and get in the mud with them. So I ask you Mr. war expert when is enough. And how many dead do we have to suffer through. You talk pretty tough so I ask you why your not over there doing your part I did.
Birdbrain Stuckey=willfully uniformed idiot with WAY too much time on his hands.

Their motto is "run away, run away faster", or "Daddy, can I pretty please have a deferment"?
And he's so deluded that he thinks he speaks for the majority of Americans. HA! That's a laugh...

I'm a Democrat who just retired from the Air Force after 22 years and three tours in Iraq, and I have several questions for you.
You say that Democrats are "bent on defeat." This makes my first question -- where do you get your information -- Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly or Anne Coulter?
My second question is -- how do you think we can "win" a an occupation? There is no "war" -- only terrorist and insurgent attacks against convoys, and suicide bombings at entry control checkpoints.
My next question is -- how will we know if and when we've "won?" With no clear strategy or objectives in Iraq, our forces are aimless and without focus.
And finally -- didn't the president say that the battle had been won when he was standing on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1, 2003 in front of that huge banner that said "Mission Accomplished?"
How quickly you Republicans forget. Now if you could just get over Bill Clinton's indiscretions with Monica Lewinsky, we would all be better off.
Posted by Air Force Retiree on May 25, 2007 09:44 PMMr Air Force Retiree NOT
You don't sound at all like one who served three tours in Iraq, unless it was with Al-Quaeda. Or maybe you're just Taliban at heart.
Stop presuming to speak for the military.
skeptical:
Your military experience would be............?
air force retiree
I guess you get your information from the far left liberal press to be so well informed.
'You say that Democrats are "bent on defeat."'
I guess you missed harry reid stating that we have lost the war.
When Bush was on the USS Lincoln and stated 'Mission Accomplished' a real serviceman would know he was referring to that ships mission. but I forgot you only get your information from msnbc, cnn, abc, cbs, nbc, nyt, lat, and the dumocrat party spoke people.
As usual you're wrong Brian. Bush signed the bill.
7:41 The WH admitted that they arranged to have that banner hung.

Where do you get your info Rush, Fox,the same people that said there was WMD's. I think I'll listen to some one that has war experiance. I sugguest that if you want to learn a little about war you ought to to what AF retiree, John Kerry, and myself did and go fight one. Not what Bush and dicky boy did and run away from it. This war is unwinnabe. And if I'm wrong then please answer the bib question HOW WILL WE KNOW WE WON?
Insane ramblings? Pathetic stupidity? Lack of punctuation, capitalization and proper grammar?
Yep, Fish is our old friend Keith...
Posted by Just Saying on May 26, 2007 11:08 AMYo Fish: Your issue with Grammar will be tolerated; however, vulgarity is a no no. As for the sign: Mission Accomplished, I thought it meant Iraq. It was nice to see the aircraft carrier: I served on the Boxer and the FDR. I loved the Navy.

No one else on these boards has the combination of stupidity and illiteracy of this particular moron.
How much would Bush ask Americans to sacrifice to support this war? How much would he raise taxes to support it? Nada? Then that is a reflection of his level of committment - zilch. Something not worth paying for is not worth having, and that about sums up this war.
