Media need rulebook
I think the broadcast media need a rulebook to define what should be shown on their news channels, and when.
Over the last few years, they have declined to show video from the 9/11 attacks because it might be offensive. They have declined to show video of Americans such as Nick Berg having his head sawn off by Islamofascists because it might be offensive. Then they pounce on videos made by the Virginia Tech psycho killer and run the tape almost continuously, although the families of the psycho’s victims haven’t even finished making funeral arrangements!

Your attempt to whip up fear and imply media bias favoring terrorists is quite transparent. While a bit more cloaked than the nonsensicle ravings employed by most Authoritarian Bush Cultists, it still suffers from a simple problem.
There is a marked difference between showing videos of real murders and real deaths, and showing a person talking into a camera.
I recall seeing a lot of suicide bomber tapes of the kind they make before killing themselves and others, and tapes of Osama and his deputies which are the equivelant of the Cho rantings.
Everybody has seen the 9-11 attacks over and over again. They're seered into our collective conscience. Why should we keep watching a horrorible event like that? How arrogant of you to suggest we have forgotten.
Why not start your own cable channel? You could show grotesque murders all day long. Nothing is stopping you. Do a google and find all the footage you want of death and destruction.
It is unhealthy to live in a state of continual fear and paranoia. Our great country is finally coming out of our collective shock. It's time to turn off the death and destruction and turn on to life again.
Count to ten and open up the blinds Jim.
