Perlmutter sole glimmer of hope
U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter was the only sane and decent person from the Colorado delegation to vote against giving the Bush administration another blank check on Iraq. Thank you, Rep. Perlmutter, for having the courage to vote against funding more bloodshed and destruction.
The majority of people in the United States want the United States out of Iraq, as do the majority of Iraqis, but those democratic facts don’t matter to spineless politicians more concerned with their political futures than ending this humanitarian catastrophe. Shame on Sens. Ken Salazar and Wayne Allard, Reps. Mark Udall, Marilyn Musgrave, Tom Tancredo, John Salazar and Doug Lamborn — blood is on their hands. I look forward to the day they’re all removed from office.
I’m proud to call Perlmutter my representative and I pledge my support to him. His vote was the one glimmer of hope in what was a very dark day for this country and Iraq.

Democrats were given a clear dictate when they were elected in November. End the War in Iraq. Apparently, they forgot. We'll see what happens in September when they come back to session, but for now I am appalled and disheartened. Mr. Perlmutter, I applaud your stand on this issue.

maybe if all of the troops are home they can get ready for the next attack here.
Or here is another idea, why dont the both of you go over there and make nice with them and tell them we are so sorry that they hate us becasue we treat women as people and not objects. Show them you really support their right to do what they want and when you meet with them remember only your eyes can be uncovered and visible to them.
Sean,
"...tell them we are so sorry that they hate us becasue(sic) we treat women as people and not objects."
Tell us how much better things are for the women since we invaded Iraq Sean...
(crickets)
Sean seems uncapable or unwilling to look at the possibility that they hate us because our troops are on their soil and our foerign policy in the Middle East has always sought to take advantage of them. I challenge Sean to prove how we are safer now as opposed to the time before the occupation of Iraq.

Posted by Holy Reality on May 30, 2007 09:00 AMPERLMUTTER FOR U.S. SENATE! Cong. Perlmutter is a breath of fresh air. He voted against the Iraq-NAM war, which is in reality, is a "computer war" game being directed by draft-dodgers (Boy-George, Cheney, and Gates). Collectively, they haven't found any thing they are willing to die for, nor have their kids.
I'm endorsing Perlmutter for the senate simply because he respects combat disabled Vietnam veterans. State Sen. Fitz-Gerald isn't ready for this job, because she and Groff don't eforce federal laws at the state gov't level, governing disabled vets job and contracting benefits.
Out of desperation, I sought Perlmutter's assistance for my disability pay. My congress-male Tom Tancredo, was too busy hiring criminal illegal Mexicans and illegally interfering into the deportation of Duane "Dog' Chapman (convicted felon and residnt of Honolulu, HI) to help me. He was also too busy for Vietnam.

"We have been put into a time machine. Under Saddam it wasn't perfect, but women could go to work, university, get married or divorced. But at the moment women have lost almost all their rights.
"We are outraged by a constitution that gives legality to these tribal, ethnic and religious heads, and has turned Iraq into an Islamic country. The U.S. government simply handed us over to Islamic forces.
"We are seeing the rise of a civil war because religious groups are competing for power, and currently the group who has the most seats in Parliament is the most notorious. With Sharia law, there is no minimum age for the marriage of a female. If you are six years old, you can be married to a man of any age. Under this change -- that George Bush said was supposed to be for the freedom of women -- we encourage pedophilia. Under these new laws, if you steal something you have your hands chopped off. If you have committed a major crime, you are beheaded.
"This is what happens when you enact a constitution [based on] religious laws written 15 centuries ago. We have been forced to let go of all of our struggles in human rights."
Sean, my boy, there is a great deal of truth in the comments that go against you. See y'all at the People's Fair June 2

If we're so busy fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here how is it that a terrorist plot was recently uncovered in New Jersey. Right here in the US of A.

Tancredo has always been "too busy" for anything, and everything, except showing off and touting Tom Tancredo. Which is just about par for the course with Colorado Republicans in Washington.
Glad to hear that you got things straightened out, and done right through Rep. Perlmutter. I'd back him for Senator too.
