The Denver Post & Iraq
This letter has not been edited.
Brian,
Nobody knows what you're talking about, because you failed to mention what the Post did that has you so upset.
Posted by Charles B on May 7, 2007 01:06 PMAs they say, with todays so called Democrats
"You aint seen nothin yet"
Even with all of his flaws(to put it mildly) JFK was a great American, who would be ashamed of his party now. It would be fun to see him slap the you- know-what out of his disgraceful little brother Ted!
Posted by A on May 7, 2007 01:09 PMThe JFK vs. Teddy comparison is a stark one, one gets a medal for saving people at the risk of his own life, while the other drunkenly drives his girlfriend off a bridge and leaves her to die. Hard to believe they are related, harder still to see why Teddy is so popular.
Posted by No use on May 7, 2007 01:18 PMAnd for those in denial about the withdrawal timetable emboldening the enemy:
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda's second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri said a U.S. congressional bill calling for a troop withdrawal from Iraq was proof of Washington's defeat, according to a Web video posted on Saturday.Posted by KW on May 7, 2007 01:21 PM
Was this letter computer-generated? It's as if various talk-radio sound-bites have been randomly strung together. Shuffle the same sentences to get either of the following equally strident but meaningless paragraphs.
Posted by on May 7, 2007 01:22 PMKW - not quite. Your post, below, neglects to include Zawahri's quote, which indicates that it is Allah's will, and Al Qaeda's hope, that Bush veto the bill, so that they can keep picking off our troops:
And for those in denial about the withdrawal timetable emboldening the enemy:
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda's second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahri said a U.S. congressional bill calling for a troop withdrawal from Iraq was proof of Washington's defeat, according to a Web video posted on Saturday.
From the same article:
"This bill reflects American failure and frustration," he said. "However, this bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap. We ask Allah that they only get out if it after losing 200,000 to 300,000 killed, in order that we give those who spill blood in Washington and Europe an unforgettable lesson which will motivate them to review their entire doctrinal and moral system which produced their historic criminal crusader-Zionist entity."
So, the neocons and the terrorists are on the same side re: Bush's veto of the funding bill.
Posted by on May 7, 2007 01:40 PM"So, the neocons and the terrorists are on the same side re: Bush's veto of the funding bill."
Do you mean neolibs? Aren't really any conservatives in Washington these days.
Posted by No use on May 7, 2007 01:44 PMKW and Brian
Lousy try at spinning. al-Zawahri wants the troops to stay in Iraq so he can kill 2 to 300,000 more troops. Just as 1:40 said: "the neocons and the terrorists are on the same side re: Bush's veto of the funding bill."
You and Brian don't the troops.

Please teach me how to come up with such a brilliant finish, PLEASE!!!
Here's Brian Stuckey again, politicizing something, anything, he can put a pencil to in order to display the partisanship that is keeping this administration going. Now he says that the democrats are politicizing the war. Duh! I'll say this, though, if the democrats had shown a little spine before the war started, perhaps we wouldn't be where we are today.
So what are we supposed to do now, Brian? Huddle with the administration and try to figure a way to "win" an unwinnable war? Or start the blame game, and finger the liars who got us into this?
"if the democrats had shown a little spine before the war started"
Democrats with a backbone, isn't that an oxymoron?
Posted by No use on May 7, 2007 02:32 PMYup - oxymoronic like "Republican think tank.""
Posted by Drew on May 7, 2007 03:06 PM"Yup - oxymoronic like "Republican think tank."""
Think out your posts more before you click the button Drew. Are you referring to the oxymoron of think tank, or Republican tank, or Republican think, or the whole bit? Vague comments don't really accomplish much, other than making the author seem quick to speak and reluctant to think.
Posted by No use on May 7, 2007 03:37 PMDid Drew go to fast for you? Is his post way over your head in terms of humor?
Posted by on May 7, 2007 03:40 PM"Is his post way over your head in terms of humor?"
That's supposed to be humorous? I know you lefties have a rep for poor humor, but that sets a new standard.
Brian-
If you've got an issue with the Post, write THEM a LTTE. You've got the wrong paper.

Obviously you don't have enough brains to figure out it was a typo. let me insert the correct word for your feeble mind.
"You and Brian don't support the troops."
wow, insults on my intelligence coming from someone with as creative a handle as "conservative media" really hurt my feelings. Please stop abusing me, I might cry so hard as to disable myself from typing properly.
Posted by No use for a name on May 7, 2007 04:16 PMIt's called space saving C Moron. I providied the link (DUH!) so you could read it for yourself without creating a damn novel of post that most people will skip over.
Thanks for posting the rest. My favorite part (for those of you in denial that islamofacists want us dead) was this:
"However, this bill will deprive us of the opportunity to destroy the American forces which we have caught in a historic trap. We ask Allah that they only get out if it after losing 200,000 to 300,000 killed"
Considering we have only 3100 military deaths after 4 years his numbers are nothing more than scare tactics hoping cowardly Americans will endorse the plan as Zawahri does.
Being in denial is why you aren't able to glean Zawahri's comments for what they are, but the bottom line is he has been emboldened by the dems (public knowledge) withdrawal dates.
Posted by KW on May 7, 2007 04:20 PMKW,
Do you really think hat the exageration and hyperbole of someone from Al Qiada means something?
Well, yeah. I guess you do. After all, you also seem to believe the Republican hot air that you keep presenting; so using Al Qiada as a "source" is about par for the course.
By the way, just who is really "afraid" here, KW?
Oh! I get it! Those of us who want to being an end to the Iraq debacle are "cowardly". Is that it? Must be. Since the War-Is-Wonderful-and-Shooting-People-Is-Fun Party surely wants to keep on keeping on. And they are sore afraid that the American people will see through that game - as many already have. Vide: The elections last November.
Watch out for the flying carpets! And the great bronze horses powered by the Djinn!
Posted by Old Grouch on May 7, 2007 04:53 PMBush's veto of a bill that would otherwise begin a troop withdrawal appears to be an answer to Zawahri's prayers (to Allah) to keep Amerian troops in Iraq so more of them can be killed. Bush wants the troops to stay, Zawahri wants them to stay too, for different reasons, but why need it be more complicated than that?
Posted by on May 7, 2007 05:06 PM"No use for a name" is about as boneheaded as your childish post and views.
Posted by conservative media on May 7, 2007 07:26 PMHas anyone ever seen Brian Stuckey and Vince Carroll in the same room?
Posted by just sayin' on May 8, 2007 07:26 AMHow about just sayin' and Bill Johnson?
