An animal rights group in Vienna wants to have Hiasl, a 26-year-old male chimpanzee legally declared a “person.” They want to give him basic human rights, except the right to vote.
Two thoughts come to mind.
First, I’d love to see the people this group runs around with and, second, considering what the voters did last November, locally and nationally, I say let the chimp vote here. He couldn’t do any worse.

LOL! Thanks for the laugh this morning Frederick. Actually, the chimp sounds a whole lot smarter than my boss. Gee, I wonder if we could get my boss to be legally declared a "person". I think you have to have a heart and a brain to be a "person". Yep, looks like the chimp has a better chance.

I heard that Hiasl is running for president and is giving john edwards a look at being his running mate. The dnc is reaching out to a new voter base.

I'll take a chimp over our current cockroach any day.

This from a moron who undoubtedly already voted for a murdering chimp coward twice.

I kind of hope they do declare the chimp a "person". Then he can emigrate over here, go to California, and have a political career; even getting elected Governor of the State, or maybe Senator as time goes on.

Chimps are over 98% like us in DNA, maybe chimps and only chimps should be called persons. Until bonobos (sp) or whatever other primates have an advocate.
