Am I the only one with more memory than letter writer Tim Vronay (“Coincidence?” May 16) who remembers that gas was $1.24 when President Bush took office?

I don't recall what the price for a gallon of gas was before Bush, but I do remember what it felt like to enjoy more privacy and personal freedoms. Is gas more important to you than those?
