Ward Churchill
Tuesday, May 29 at 11:55 AM

Jim Schwartz of Centennial writes:

The OPEC Cartel has greater checks and balances than tenured faculty members at the CU Tenured Professor Cartel.
It is time for trust busting this CU Tenure Cartel - ending tenure and substituting contracts. The findings of the self dealing corrupt CU’s Priviledge & Tenure Cheaters Cartel Committee on Churchill is an abomination of the concept of academic integrity and meritocracy.
Ghandi said, ‘be your message.’ The message from CU’s Priviledge & Tenure Committee - academic integrity is mere assertion - “cheat students, we do!”

I am only guessing but sounds to me like Jim would like to see Ward Churchill continue spewing out his hatred for this country to the CU students.

"It is time for trust busting this CU Tenure Cartel - ending tenure and substituting contracts."

Sure. That way we can pay the teachers less, and impose an "at will" work doctrine. In other words, if you say anything in the classroom that is unpopular, or give a loudmouth a bad grade, you could be gone. Instead of a formal tenure committee, Caplis and Silverman will be the new reviewing authority. Yee haw!

i have an idea for teachers or professors......they can teach the subject they have specialized in and leave all of their political views outside the classroom. Nope that wouldnt work, what would they talk or teach about.

Spewing hatred and training kids how to be terrorists, not to mention revising history to one’s opinion hardly qualifies as teaching at a university. Than again in Boulder it blends right in.

Uno,

I'm so glad you brought that up. At Jerry Falwell's Liberty University one of their own students was arrested for having several homemade bombs in his car during Falwell's funeral services.

Yep, the 'right' fundies spewing hatred and training kids how to be terrorists. ect ect ect.

At a 'bible' college, heh

Michelle,

I see you have mastered the liberal's debating style. Using one person's inappropiate actions to justify another person's. Anyone spewing hatered for this country should not be put into a position that could influence our children.

Should they give them opposing opinions, Absolutely. Give them the information and allow them to debate the subject, Definitely However they should not be allowed to indoctrinate the children.

You may not understand the concept of "Fair and Balanced", but in our schools that should always be the first priority.

Ward Churchill is neither of these "Fair or Balanced". Him and all of the fanactics should be removed from Tax supported schools. BTW; Liberty University is not tax supported.

jgd777 I couldn't have said it any better!!

Churchill, and all the other hate spewing professors and college/school administrators, with their own political agendas should be sent "down the road kicking rocks"!!!

The travesty in Boulder with the high school hiring untrained "speakers" to encourage kids to have unsafe sex and "do" drugs is abominable!!!!
Parents Wake up!!!! Boulder High says they are going to have these idiots back next year!!

The school administration should be totally ashamed of themselves!!

"However they should not be allowed to indoctrinate the children."

The indoctrination of children occurs when you plant them in front of a television set, where they will get, one, and only one point of view, carefully designed by professional marketers to elicit a desired response. But let's not talk about that kind of indoctrination.

The college classroom on the other hand, challenges students to think, and it's the responsibility of the teacher to foster that sort of environment (my college profs did anyway). But, of course, if you have a pariah, then you can say whatever you want about him. In America, we have a tradition of learning, but we also have a tradition of the witchhunt. Arthur Miller's "The Crucible" is one of the greatest expressions of this idea.
