Congress

Richard Doran of Parachute writes:

We Americans are bombarded daily with “poll results” including everything from the president’s “disapproval rating,” with Bush setting new records, to the “celebrity ego poll,” which Paris Hilton easily won in a landslide.
Over its 70 year history, The Gallup Poll has become one of the most recognized and respected polling sources. However, the recent release of their “confidence in congress” results leaves me with grave concern. How can it be that that the percentage of Americans with a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in Congress is at 14%? Evaluating poll results involves two necessary considerations - objectivity on the part of the pollster and relevance as to the source of the data. In this case, I do feel that Gallup was fair and impartial because the poor performance on the part of our Congress continues to earn well deserved public disapproval. While the 14% a new all time low, I really question the validity of this outcome.
How could there possibly be a legitimate poll where this HIGH a percentage of Americans would express ANY confidence in our inept legislature.
Without benefit of the polling results, my guess would have been “less than 5%” which would have been a really significant new low.
Who are these “14 per-centers?” What is their source for news? Where do they live? When did they last vote? Are they really American citizens? How in the world can they feel positive toward this “do nothing constructive” Congress?
Since most polls have a “percentage of error” consideration, I’ll speculate that many of these “14 per centers” simply didn’t understand the question.
God Bless America!

BENEDICT (SALAZAR) ARNOLD: NO MAS Mexifornia! US Sen. Slalazar, skipper, SS Amnesty, and author the "amnesty" legislation, is the #1 traitor and #1 treasoner in the US Congress. His criminal illegal Mexicans, have retarded the national black's community's social and economic gains. They have nullified the voting and civil rights gains made by the JDL, MLKII, and other civil rights workers, who in some cases, literally gave their lives for blacks' constiutional rights.

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), are truly "comical blacks in congress". Most these hacks were born and raised in the shadows of former plantations, which still contains the blood of their forefathers. Illegals are reducing blacks to slaves again, and that is evidenced by Denver's 15% and NOLA's 50%, unemployment rates among blacks. Illegals are clearly like STD's, the gift that keeps on giving.

Illegals vote. Salazar engineered with the GOP, a Texas-style re-districting in Northeast Denver, where criminal illegal Mexicans, registered and actually voted. Thus, fvor the 1st time in decades, RTD board of director's consist of 13 whites and 2 Latinos, and "NO" black representation.

It is truly sad, T.Carroll, Marshall, Groff, Jones, Poole, Milliner, Hancock, and Wedgeworth, were crew-members for Skipper Salazar on SS Amnesty. BLACK SELLING-OUT BLACKS". These state and federal Judas types, make Condi, Powell, Connerly, and Clarence Thomas, look pretty good.

Ain't it funny that we don't hear how low Bush's polls are since the Dems took over the Congress? Harry Reid's rating is half of VP Dick Cheney's. The Congress's rating is the lowest......in history!!! What happened to all those grandiose campaign promises? Bring back the GOP....quick!

Congress can't get anything done because the Senate requires 60 votes for cloture. The majority party can't over-ride a veto. If the Democrats get at or near the 60 vote threshold in '08, you'll see some movement.

Of course, that movement may be downhill.

None of this is really meaningful if Bush/Cheney continue to get away with violating the law and not respecting congressional subpoena power. They currently feel free to simply ignore the will of Congress and do whatever they want, so what does it matter if they pass legislation?

A crisis looms. Do you want a dictatorship or a republic?

Consider: What are the polls?
The polls are nothing more than a reflection of the last "news cycle".
Most of the national and political news items we see every day are generated by the AP, NYT, and the big 3 networks plus CNN which are all biased left.
It is a wonder to me that it took neary 5 years to drive President Bush's numbers below 50% but only a few months for the Nancy and Harry show to get down under 20%.
It's gotta drive the liberals nuts.

Congratulations for the most moronic post I have ever seen. The GOP put us in the mess we are in now. Thanks to a rubber stamping
Congress and an incompetent President we are stuck in a war without an end and no point. The budget surplus is now the largest deficit. We can thank the GOP for screwing the whole country.

"God bless America" is what is wrong with America; it is America's Constitution that must get all the credit for turning 13 quibbling colonies into a nation that is the envy of the world.

The accomplishment of America comes about by leaving God out of the Charter of its Existence, a completely secular Charter that not only gives the birdie to Jesus Christ but bans him from participation in Article 6 paragraph 3: No relgious oath for public office.

The spook believers changed America's motto to "In God We Trust" and she immediately loses two wars.

Forsake "God bless America" crap and give thanks to our Founding Fathers who told prayer to take a hike when the deist Benjamin Franklin suggested prayer. Henceforth: Constitution bless America.
