Illegal immigrants
Friday, June 29 at 2:00 PM

Dianne Burchfield of Thornton writes:

I just don’t get it. We don’t want illigal immigrants here, yet we are catering to them. Everything is in two languages, Spanish and English. We are getting more Spanish stations on T.V. The banks are catering to them and on and on. I would like to know how they get approved to buy a house. Here in Thornton we are told that our homes are not single family homes any longer. It doesn’t matter how many people live in a home as long as they are related. How is that proven?
Pretty soon you will be at your local Wal Mart store or any other store for that matter and you will hear, “May we please have an English speaking associate come to Customer Service".

Re call Salazar, thats a start !

Posted by Operation Wetback on June 29, 2007 07:07 PM

Like Salazar will listen, he wants amnesty for illegals, including those that rape a 9 yr old girl and hides in Mexico, or a man who kills a 7 yr old girls mom and then kidnaps and taked her to Mexico, or the man who drags a woman to death behind his truck. Salazar does not care about the rule of law when it interferes with his true loyalties.

The democratic leaders and open boarder supporters in Wahington are playing a dangerous game. As the look to a new voter block of hispaics to support thier ever increaseing welfare state. The problem is that these new voters are not supporting the American Adgenda. Look at the local level and who they voted in. When local municipalities allowed ILLEGALS to vote they vote in sympathetic leadership who change the make up of our society. We see an emerging corrupt system that is racial bias towards remaking the supposedly bad living conditions these ILLEGALS fled to.

As Americas standard of living is declineing and corrupt officials emerge only LEGAL citizens suffer.

The creation of slum barrios are on the rise, with violent crime, lack of social morals , and vandelism may be accepted south of the boarder we do not have to accept it here.

Support those who want to secure the boarder and the rule of LAW.

Hell, if they wanted, Mexicans can vote in both the U.S. and Mexico. Can anyone see a problem with that? Pretty soon there will be so many in the U.S. voting that the American people will no longer be able to dictate what happens in our own country.

Well guess what Dianne,
Yes..here in Thornton..alot of mobile homes were left for repo..nice ones because of the economy..alot were empty..On the mexican tv station 20 & 50 they started advertising 'Come look at our beautiful mobile homes..you can BUY one with NO CREDIT CHECK OR "SOCIAL SECURITY" NEEDED. Now every one is filled up. All are 2-3 bedrooms..2 BA.Now 2-3 families piled in
all the Suv"S and F150"s. If 2-3 families share the cost..you can afford the suv"s.
So Pine Lake Ranch is a Sanctuary City for illegals. Car plates from Chiuaua Mex. and they dissapear to MEX. in the summer. Etc
Mexican music blaring..they try to wait till after the office closes. No pit bulls allowed ..they have them.etc,etc,etc.
They need to enforce the law of how many families can pile in a home. Like you mentioned. Mobile homes are now a haven for them, they can afford the high lot rent. Guess what ? The private Corp. Know that.!

Just a heads up! By the time this new Farm bill gets to the President for signing, there will be a few sections providing for some guest "illegal" workers. Just because the Amnesty bill failed Salazar is not just going to forget about his "illegal" friends.

One tenth of Mexcios population is now in the US. One tenth!

Posted by truthy on June 30, 2007 08:27 AM

The first thing to do here is stop patronizing the businesses that support illegal immigration: Wal-Mart and Comcast come immediately to mind.

Secondly, do everything within your power to prevent Ken Salazar from being re-elected. This man acts as if he is a Senator from Mexico rather than the United States.

Third, boycott this newspaper. The editor of this paper, John Temple, has made it clear that he supports illegal immigration, both in his columns and through his proxies like Littwin, Griego, and Johnson. Furthermore, this paper is filled with Orwellian nonsense terms like "undocumented worker", "nativist" (citizen???), "guest worker", etc. designed to remove the idea that every one of these people committed a crime to get here.

Fourth, write your representatives and demand that they start enforcing the laws of this country vis-a-vis illegal immigration. We don't need immigration reform, we need more border patrol agents and an ICE with enough backbone, manpower and money to start rounding up and deporting illegals. Alternatively, we could simply adapt Mexico's immigration laws: http://www.mnforsustain.org/Mexicos%20Immigration%20Law%20in%20US.pdf

Fifth, resist at any level you can by simply talking to others about it. Don't be intimidated by those who label you a racist - the sure fire way you know your opponent has a bankrupt argument is when he calls you names. Don't listen to this PC nonsense from McCain, Kennedy, and Bush - this isn't about race or ethnicity, it IS about whether or not it means anything to be a citizen any longer and whether or not the elected officials of this nation are going to carry out the will of the people or cater to the Wal-Marts and Comcasts of the world.

Well said T. Now that we know our power, it is time to use it. A lot of "important" people have some 'splainin to do.

I wish the cops could shoot the illegals on sight. Or put a bounty on them so the rest of us could clean up and cash in. But that will never happen. We will continue to reward and encourage these criminals. We will cater to them. They will force us to learn their language. We will hear more of "press 2 for English." Don't believe me? Just watch.

The politicians are too lazy and stupid to take the problem seriously. Especially that loser Ken Salazar, who addressed the senate in Spanish.

Believe it or not, we are in the minority. Most people don't care if the illegals are rewarded with amnesty. Poll after poll shows support for it.

It's unbelievable that there are so so many stupid people out there.

Let's discriminate against the Mexicans! Let's make life harder for them! Let's NOT cater to the illegals, and those who are too stupid and lazy to learn our language. Let's boycott companies who cater to the illegals.

Put it in the right order - go after the illegal EMPLOYERS with vengeance! No jobs, far fewer illegal immigrants.

A few years ago, WalMart was fined $11 million for hiring illegals. That sounds like a lot until you realize that year they made $285 BILLION - so the fine was the equivalent to charging a speeder one penny for every mile over the posted speed limit.

Currently, verifying the documentation presented is VOLUNTARY - so the folks who don't must know that they are hiring illegals, while the folks who do know that they aren't.

My recommendations:
1) Veritying the documentation becomes mandatory - and fines will be applied if that is not done.
2) Meaningful fines for illegal employers. My suggestion is 5% of gross company income for the first offense, 10% of gross company income for the 2nd offense & 10% of gross company income + jail time head of the company. In other words, if WalMart is caught hiring illegals in Colorado, the fine is based on their national sales - and putting the head of the company in jail makes sure those folks don't pretend hiring illegals isn't something they condone. Fines should not be considered a business expense that can be written off. In addition, the companies should be banned from receiving ANY government contract (local, state or federal) for a specified period of time - say 1 year for the first offense, 2 for the second, etc. (Or am I the only person who is aware that contractors working at Buckley AFB were raided for having so many illegals?).

3) Use any fines to beef up both border security and deportation of illegals as needed.
4) Anyone who wants an end to illegal employers should boycott them - how many of you complainers are still buying Swift meat products? Let the companies you boycott know WHY you are boycotting them.

Since the legislation is so heavily weighted in favor of the folks who caused the problem to begin with (businesses for the most part - which is why Bush & other members of the GOP have put their weight behind the current legislation), they should begin paying for the problems they have created. If it costs more to provide goods & services, so be it - businesses will no longer be able to get low cost labor & base wages should rise. If, after the backlog of somewhere between 4-8 million folks who have been waiting to come here legally (some for nearly 30 years) has been cleared, then we can talk about 'guest worker visas'.

I live on a nice little court. I love it because my children have a place to ride their bikes, scooters, and play without being around alot of traffic.

Two months ago two mexican families that are related bought 2 houses right next to each other, They are related. Between the 2 houses there are 8 vehicles, plus all the relatives that visit. their vehicles take up about of a third of the court and the kids are no longer safe to ride because of all the traffic in our court now.

I don't know if they are legal or not but now the quietness of our court has changed. They have already started their front yard get togethers and are loud. They have starting shooting off fireworks ,that are totally illegal where I live. They have pitbulls that get out regularly.

Their relatives come in with the big boom speakers going full blast.

It has been ten years since we had a Mexican family live in our quiet little court. It was a nightmare then and is a nightmare now.

I can't let my kids run free in their own court now because I don't trust all the traffic coming from the Mexicans houses.

I'm hoping they got sub-prime loans and go into foreclosure. They seem to have alot of money with 3 SUVs, 2 vans ,a mercedes, and other assortment of cars.

There goes the neighborhood!

(and whos fault is that?) I'm sure she gets a s*** load of food stamps for all eight..and another one w/twin ..anchors..etc. My friend got fed up and piled her wares for charity. No more sales..can't even be met half way they want free.

10:39 ..Alot of mexicans were saying they had houses in Mexico and one here. That they were going on "Vacation" . We thought..
I thought you went thru rough terrain..hot dessert , mud.. Rio Grande..etc, to get to America.. and you're going back..on vacation?
We were confused. (and if they get stopped they say they went to see their sick and dying mother). Which one is it ? Going back and forth or ..??

A good part of the problem is that over the last thirty years we have catered and babied these illegals. Instead of giving them a hand up we gave them hand outs. Now the next generation is used to gettinghand outs and if they do not get it they turn violent and slander Americans with racial slurs. Accusations of being bigoted because we are tired of opening our wallets.

If you have ever stopped in at the social security office or driven by a welfare office all you see are illegals lined up with thier hands out.

Besides closeing the boarder, companies that hire them should be fined and required to pay back taxes on the wages paid under the table.

To say they are only doing jobs Americans won't is assine. How many construction jobs and driving jobs have been stolen by these people. What once was a good living and wage now does not exisits as these thieves take these jobs at a below standard wage. Why? Because when you do not pay taxes, or have to pay for insurance, medical and auto, 10 an hour is good money.

If buisnesses were forced to pay insurance and taxes on these people they would stop hireing them. As it stands now they write it off as an expense, or 1099 the tax form on some poor Citizens whos SSN # was stolen. Therefore shifting any tax obligation from them to the illegals who dont pay taxes.

An answer to those who have problems with the pit bulls getting out. If they are on your property shoot the damn dog. Aslo pass covenants that forbid the slum conditions these people supposedly fled in order to live better but are deadset in recreating here.

I've had Mexican iollegal nieghbors as well. They trash the nieghborhood and lower home values. I fought back. When the played loud music ... suddenly the transformer went out. No power no radio. When the party late and loud leaving thier trash all over everyone elses yards. I gathered it up and dumped it on their front door, so they had to trip over it on the way out. Were there confrontations, yes. But my will is stronger then thiers.

This is America not mexico. Time to fight back

One thing about SSI. If someone works on your number and SSI is taken out, you retire, you get the money. Providing you don`t say anything. If you owe back taxes on SSI and can prove you did not use the number to work, you don`t pay.
