Accountability as a citizen
Thursday, July 19 at 11:53 AM

Robert Spinden of Denver writes:

To begin the healing process the United States needs to go through I believe a large part of this is to hold accountability to the people who are, in part, responsible for the disgrace the United States has found itself in. V.P. Cheney is but one of the players. My accountability as a citizen of this nation is to stand up and reject the ideas that lead us with fear and bring fear and hate to others.

READER COMMENTS

A person learns accountability, and responsibility as a child, from their parents and teachers, or they rarely learn it at all. As others have stated before on these pages, take all the tax dollars being blown in foreign lands for questionable objectives, and spend it on the education of our children, and the next generations of Americans will be better off.

gee I guess you are all for the socialist ideas. so you want more government to help you through life and really you could care less about accountablility by your comments.
what disgrace are you talking aobut, that we reacted to being attacked on 9-11?
if you really want to be accountable then dont rely on the government for your needs, provide them yourself.

Why should American citizens be held accountable when the illegals live a life of law breaking, it's the way "We,the people" are allowing our society to move.
Welcome to the Republic of Mexica, where the men are drunk and the women are pregnant and who even cares if it's against the laws. If everyday you break the laws, then why have laws at all?
And another thing...if English is one of the official languages of India....why the heck isn't it the official language of the USA ????

The concept of accountability is as foreign to Republicans as the concept of good governance is.
