Sherilyn Barbee-Donner of Littleton writes:

We must stop this madness NOW! How long will this be allowed to continue? We want our country back. This is not a dictatorship, it is America! A democracy, we are losing our very country since this anti-American stole the office of President and planted his minions within it’s ranks. It has to stop.

Sherilyn, instead of a histrionic rant that tells us nothing, please share with us some of the oppression and maltreatment you've suffered in the last few years under this "dictatorship."

Ms. Barbee-Donner,

I echo the sentiments of Dez. What are you talking about? Please tell me how he "stole" the office of President?

You have many, MANY reasons and should be able to list many instances of President Bush displaying what we will perceive as incompetence in placing, as you say, his "minions" in positions of power. As examples:

-Mr. Brown as head of FEMA, with no relevant experience

-Cow-towing for the latino vote with Alberto Gonzalez's nomination and appointment as AG

-Harriet Miers nomination for the US Supreme Court

Instead, you just like to rant. You come off as hysterical and thereby forcing me to not take you seriously at all.

But to answer your question, exactly 1 year, 4months and 9 days. My guess is no time sooner.

It is going to take a long time before the good standing and honor of this nation will be restored in the community of nations. The Bush administartion has been and remains a catastrophe. He long ago deserved impeachment. And no, I dont feel like descending to the ranting of the thugs in these blogs.

Please explain to me exactly how the President is a Dictator. All laws originate with and in CONGRESS (the Legislative Branch), not with the PRESIDENT (the Executive branch). Before you make a comment such as you have please educate yourself with the U.S. Constitution and U.S. Government.

Chris asked:

"Please explain to me exactly how the President is a Dictator. All laws originate with and in CONGRESS (the Legislative Branch), not with the PRESIDENT (the Executive branch)."

Bush issues signing statements telling Congress and the people that he intends to ignore the laws Congress passes. He has in the past and continues today (according to him) to break the laws Congress passes (such as FISA) and is not held accountable.

No, he's not a dictator, but the spineless Congress is letting him get away with dictator-like behavior.

I feel slightly more stupid for reading this rant.

It is because of these typical histrionics and rants from women that many people don't take women seriously when it comes to politics.

John II,

So I guess you might say you're in the company of women- you should be so lucky.

You shrink further with each revealing aside.

Posted by Charles B on July 12, 2007 01:40 PM

How so, Charles B.?

Posted by John II on July 12, 2007 01:49 PM

John II was that you I saw on 16th street humping a lamp pole?? The man told the police his name was John II, he was foaming at the mouth!

Charles B. is right! Either you need a shrink, or your teeny shrinking whatchamacallit has you all a-twittle!!! "Wow" if Hillary becomes the next president you will probably go into coma!

You are a complete A**clown!

I don't care how you feel about women just don't step on them because you think you can!

Posted by Sweety Pie on July 12, 2007 03:19 PM

Ha! Sweety Pie, you used that same "humping a lamp pole" line months ago. You must really think that is clever. However, the last time you used about nine exclamation points for just three sentences. Now, you've got eight !'s and two ?'s for seven sentences. Are you trying to prove my point about feminine histrionics?

Why do I need a shrink? Just because I observe and note how the sexes differ in their political expressions? Are you telling me that men and women think, talk, and reason the same exact way? Or are you saying that the sexes do express themselves differently but I am wrong to point that out?

John II I only use the "humper" on you !!!!

You are so blatantly anti-femme with some of your posts. I am surprised other women who post here on a regular basis don't trash you like I enjoy doing.

Just because men and women differ in their political expressions why do you claim that women are afflicted with "histrionics" and "not to be taken seriously" if they enter the political arena???

That's equivalent to saying men are full of testosterone and are only capable of starting wars!! Cmon wise up man!

Sweety Pie,

"Just because men and women differ in their political expressions why do you claim that women are afflicted with "histrionics" and "not to be taken seriously" if they enter the political arena???"

Look how many question marks and exclamation marks you use. What is that supposed to signify? It looks like written histrionics to me. It looks like your emotion is overpowering your logic and reason. That may be an inaccurate observation, but that is the impression you give.

I've noticed on all the blogs I've ever posted on a certain pattern followed by women. They are very difficult to have a discussion with because they have trouble sticking the point. They often resort to emotional arguments rather than logical ones. That's a criticism of women.

"That's equivalent to saying men are full of testosterone and are only capable of starting wars!! Cmon wise up man!"

You can make a reasonable argument that men are more inclined to engage in warfare than women. That's a valid criticism of men.

If women want to vociferously throw themselves into the political arena, they need to learn to deal with criticism. They also need to learn how to properly argue an issue without resorting to histrionics!!!!!!!!!!
