Leroy M. Martinez of Denver writes:

A Colorado hiker is stuck with a ten thousand dollar bill. I say yea. People keep putting themselves in harms way and then others have to risk their life trying to save a numbskull that should not be in a certain place.

What??? You want to hold people accountable and responsible for thier actions. What a cruel and inhuman thing to do Leroy. Don't you know that in this liberal socialistic utopia that the libs have worked so hard to try and create. A person should never ever be held responsible for thier own stupidity.

10,000$ seems a little steep though, maybe they could have given the guy a discount. I'm sure the guy has paid federal taxes, and I'm sure Golden is subsidized by the Feds in more than one way, I wonder if he can do jail time instead...

Driving on a city street, although dangerous, is not considered putting yourself unnecessarily in harms way.

It's ok to be stupid, just don't expect others to foot the bill.
