Deputy charged with tampering
Hummmmm. It is time to throw the book at a police officer who know the law and continue to brake the law.

Sensible thinking,Leroy,but please allow me to expand on a point your comment raises.It's the story of two couples.The wife in one couple conducted an adulterous affair with the husband in the other couple.She got pregnant,didn't abort,had the baby,and murdered her paramour's wife.She was then assisted by her cuckolded husband in obstructing the investigation.Everyone involved was either or had close ties to law enforcement. I'm reminded of Det.Donnie Young, who some time before his off-duty death was married with children but fathered an illegitimate child on a woman of color.
My point is this: Of necessity, law enforcement has discretion to break the law in the service of stopping those who break the law.Those who supervise law enforcement are tasked with assuring the integrity of their system,including the morality of officers' personal conduct. I think it's safe to say that the offensive and dishonorable behavior that led to the murder currently under investigation was ignored by those responsible for stopping it.
