Janice Rinsky of Arvada writes:

I grew up learning that I am lucky to live in a democracy, where our elected officials are accountable to each other and their constituients. This administration does not seem to follow the basic tenets that this country is founded on. They need to go.

It seems that Janice is under a misconception like many other Americans.
We do not have a Democracy. We live under a Constitutional Replublic.
If she wishes to criticize government good for her, but she might consider not just the Administration but also our Congress which has a lower approval rating than does our President....but somehow that all to frequently gets left out from our editorial writers and the Alphabet Soup media..

Remember what "Gail K" tells us about "tolerance" on another line today. We mustn't become upset - or let ourselves speak out - when someone of religious prominence, such as "Father O"Malley", pronounces the "word of deity" on a subject. That would be "persecuting" the man - and his religion too; wouldn't it?

Father has a number of mind numbing posts on the blogs. And his "discussions" with those who disagre with him are snippy and childish.
