After two years of total silence regarding the NAU/SPP, the RM News yesterday (7/13) ran a column by Marcella Sanchez attacking those who are attempting to bring its existence and goals to light. What M. Sanchez neglected to mention would fill a book.
1. There have been 2 secret conferences (Sonoma, CA in 2005, and Banff, Canada in 9/06), attended by a star studded cast of Cabinet Members, Diplomats, Captains of Industry, and Military (but no legislators) of all three countries, to implement the SPP.
2. Sect.431 of the recent Immigration Bill required acceleration of the SPP.
3. A special section of the Commerce Dept was created to implement the SPP.
4. Requests by Rep. Tom Tancredo and other members of Congress for information on Commerce Dept. SPP related activities have been ‘stonewalled’.
5. Previous Bush administration International Efforts (i.e. CAFTA, etc.) have contained hidden provisions totally unrelated to their title and detrimental to the interests of U.S. and its people (i.e. Supra National Tribunals, and the regulation of alternative medicines).
Traffic flow and species preservation alone do not justify the present efforts of our Government to promote the SPP. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like duck it may very well be a Secure and Prosperous duck. What M.
Shanchez is attempting to obscure is a ‘government de facto’ (Black’s Law Dictionary pg. 824)!
The very title ‘Security and Prosperity Partnership’ sounds like a 21st century version of the WWII era “Greater East Asia Co Prosperity Sphere".
Now is the time for some good investigative reporting. Mr Editor are you up to it?

I wonder if the Prairie Falcon Parkway is part of this business.

Mr. Haas is talking about the little known North American Union NAU. In a nutshell this union will include Mexico, the U.S. and Canada and eliminate ALL borders between these countries.

Bush and his cronies, the Mexican government along with the Canadian government have been planning very quietly to implement this union. All three of the countries are trying to offset the new European Union. It's a power move that will be a nauseating intrusion and critical threat to the sovereignty of this country.

Example: A North American Highway that will allow Mexican truckers to drive from Mexico clear into Canada with impunity. With only one check stop in the state of Kansas.

I can only imagine how many Americans will be slaughtered by these unregulated Mexican truckers. I wonder if they even have testing for quality driving skills in Mexico?? Doubt it!!
I am not very familiar with the "Security and Prosperity Partnership." But I will learn very quickly what it's all about!!
I would advise people to get on the net and google North American Union and Security and Prosperity Partnership and educate themselves how these programs are going to affect their lives.

If these unions are so good for America why are the politicians so secretive about them???

I am sure Ms. Sanchez and her ilk do not want the American people to be aware of the North American Union... They just might start a grass roots movement and stop it like they did the amnesty . I bet you and Ms. Sanchez cried all night over that one.

Paulie, you and many if not most respected political pundits continue to pooh pooh the idea that this could actually happen. The same type of steps are being taken in secret, behind our backs to make this happen as happened in Europe. This has been in motion for almost 15 years, although the spp only came into being a few years ago..

Read the site carefully. While they have changed the site as more attention has been drawn to it to try and deflect criticism, the details are still there if you care to see them. The language has been changed since the original pages were put up. I tried locating some of them on the Internet archive to compare, but some are mysteriously missing and not in the archive.

The process of creating the NAU is much like a frog in the pan of water being heated on the stove. It doesn't realize it is about to die in boiling water until it is too late.

Much has been written about this and most people blow it off, claiming it is a crazy consiracy theory. Ask yourself why Bush has resisted enforcing our borders. Ever wonder why it seems that Mexico gets consulted on issues relating to our borders, etc.?

Google NASCO while you are at it. It is a privately funded and owned supercorridor highway, first proposed as part of NAFTA which will run from the Pacific coast of Mexico to Canada with the first customs stop in the Kansas City area. It is designed to bypass the U.S. west coast shipping ports, with our unionized longshoremen. It will be owned by a foreign company.

There are a number of groups behind this, all of them internationalists, including the Council on Foreign Relations, lots of business leaders of multinational corporations, bankers, etc.

The ultimate danger, beyond the loss of our sovereignty, would be the disappearance of our constitution, our bill of rights and the imposition of an unaccountable parliamentary form of government in North America. The long term goal, in line with the internationalists of the U.N. is the imposition down the line of the one world government. For that to happen, one of the biggest obstacles is the disappearance of the biggest stumbling block regarding national sovereignty, the United States as an entity.

Bush once said essentially, that America is really just an idea.

You can choose to dismiss this as the ramblings of a conspiracy theorist or you can do some research and draw your own conclusions. That is what I did, as I originally thought the idea too prepostrous.

This plan can only succeed in the darkness of our naivete. The more light that gets shone on this plan that is designed to accomplish this goal by bypassing the consent of Congress and the population, the better.

Don't expect to see the RMN do any serious, hard investigating of this. The current administration and its' bureaucracy has stonewalled most attempts at getting any information. I also don't see any evidence that the Rocky has anybody on its' staff with the ability to do the kind of research and digging to really get to the heart of this story.

Dr. Jerome Corsi has written extensively on this subject and after a long battle with a Freedom of Information Act request, was grudgingly given the documents sought.

We are not the only ones concerned about this. An SPP "summit meeting" is planned for August 20 in Canada.

Protestors are planning a huge protest for the eve of the meetings.
