Pres. candidate Ron Paul
It’s interesting to note that Presidential candidate Ron Paul has received almost a million dollars more than Tom Tancredo, and yet it is Tancredo who gets all the press. Do you suppose that is because Ron Paul is so consistent, articulate and faithful to the Constitutional principles for which he has taken an oath to uphold? (He has a track record of 16 years to document his Congressional voting record)

The powers that be do not want the name Ron Paul ever mentioned in the media, because they are truly afraid that the American public will wake up and decide to send a message by voting for someone who is not bought and paid for. They know they can pound on Tancredo and call him a racist for trying to defend the border. There is no dirt on Ron Paul so they can't really attack him, thus, they have to ignore him and hope nobody reads the internet or has watched the republican debates, which he won. If you don't like our foreign policy, if you don't like the I.R.S., if you do like your freedom, if you believe that the Constitution is still the last word in the rule of law for this nation, vote for Dr. Ron Paul. If however, you like the way things have been going, vote for Hillary or Barack or Rudy or any of the other candidates who have been bought and paid for by the globalists in charge.

Yeah, George. That probably is why Ron Paul doesn't get much coverage, especially compared to TommyBoy Tancredo.
I do hope that the current darkhorse Ron Paul does get the nomination, since he is just about the only Republican I could actually vote for. He would steal damn near the entire independent vote if he was nominated.
Posted by Paulie on July 19, 2007 02:18 PMHow about "Ron Paul is a truther and isn't worthy of coverage"?
Posted by Carver on July 19, 2007 02:43 PMA-pauling. Dr. Ron is such a libertarian, he wouldn't have started a war with Hitler. I'm sure all dope would be made legal, etc.
Tancredo is at least a serious, thoughtful candidate. Ron Paul is a flake.
Yeah, Buff Driver, the "war against drugs" is working so well. It didn't work for alcohol during prohibition, and it won't work now. The only reason it's being pursued is due tot he fact that it's a multi billion dollar a year goose laying a golden egg. It has nothing to do with protecting the citizenry.

The dirt on Paul IS HIS RADICAL POLICY IDEAS.
.
Ron Paul is to Republicans,
what Dennis Kucinich is to Dems.
Posted by Get Real on July 19, 2007 03:11 PMI do not agree with everything Ron Paul says or espouses, but he is a whole lot better than another 4 or 8 years of what we have had with the "mainstream candidates" of either party. Also, what is to radical about wanting to follow the Constitution?
Posted by Jay on July 19, 2007 03:38 PMI agree with Paulie,
Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate I would vote for over the entire slate of Democratic ones. My hope is when it all filters out, we have him and a good Democratic candidate to choose from in '08.
Wow.... I wonder what it will be like to have a REAL leader in office again?
Posted by Dan on July 19, 2007 04:25 PMHmmmm.... I think he's worth some research. Maybe he'd be a good running mate with Gingrich?
Posted by Gail K on July 19, 2007 04:36 PMIt seems as though Ron Paul is the only hope for Republicans. Most Americans are disgusted by the holier than thou, do what a two thousand year old book says even in foreign policy, platform that the Republican Party has adopted.
The Republican Party has been hijacked by wacko Christian right who are increasingly becoming isolated in the South, Utah and in certain enclaves in the rest of the states. Ron Paul seems to be the only Republican who believes in Libertarian values who has not left the GOP in utter disgust of what it has become.

He Has My Vote.
Ron Paul vs Dennis Kucinich would be a great race. I would love either to be president. 2 candidate who are honest and open and speak their mind and dont wallow in 'party crap'. Either one would be a breath of fresh air and help return America to the rest of us, instead of being a life support system for billionaires and corporations.
Go Ron! Go Dennis!
I'm not sure I can back this guy. Voting for a guy having two first names might get a little confusing at the polls.
And in case someone reading this can't tell...

Posted by KW on July 20, 2007 10:20 AMRon Paul has quirks just like all people/candidates/politicians have. However, his seem to error on the side of reserve, not excess. It would be refreshing to have a political leader who would force in-depth scrutiny of all of the humongous departments and programs in the government. Some interesting facts concerning Paul:
The Congressman from Texas is quite simply, ‘the best they’ve got’ i the Republican camp.. The physician is the only candidate who has a 100% constitutionally-correct voting record. Because he votes against unconstitutional bills every time, he earned the label “Doctor No.”
He alone in the entire GOP lineup is the only one who voted against the war in Iraq.
On every single issue he is a pure, unadulterated, founders-woulda-loved him conservative.
Paul never voted to raise taxes. Not once.
He never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He never voted for any infringement on gun rights.
He never voted to raise his pay.
Paul voted against the blatantly-unconstitutional power grab that is the Patriot Act.
Paul does not participate in the congressional pension program and he returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year – a rare Congressman who practices what he preaches!
He is basically a Libertarian who ran as a Republican due to technicalities of law in Texas which disallowed him the ability to run on the ticket as a Libertarian.
"He never voted for any infringement on gun rights."
That's a huge credit to any politician in my book.
Posted by KW on July 20, 2007 12:17 PMRon Paul is the only candidate running that would use the Constitution as a basis for his administration. All his 'radical' political ideas come straight from the Constitution or from one of it's Authors. He doesn't want to run our lives, he will simply leave us alone to run our own lives...contrary to the last 100 or so years of politics in this country...
Posted by Roy on July 20, 2007 03:24 PMHe is also the only candidate (one of the few politicians in general) to address the fundamental problems with the Federal Reserve. He rightly points out that the only outcome of printing money out of thin air and borrowing money from the Chinese to pay for our wars and other expenses is disaster.
