Democratic National Convention
How enlightening to hear that a 39 year old adolescent by the name of Steve Morris wears a T-shirt reading “Draft Young Republicans” because, according to Morris, “its their war, let them fight it". Apparently the intellectually challenged Mr Morris has conveniently forgotten that the overwhelming majority of Democrats, in Congress, voted authorization for the war. I thought our men and women, in uniform, including my son, were fighting for all Americans regardless of political party affiliation. Sadly, some are making the ultimate sacrifice so that fools like Morris can demonstrate his ignorance.
Bill Jones had time to attend the gathering and identify himself as a"precinct activist” but failed to identify himself as a transit union official from the Transportation District. His insightful comment, completely unsupportable by facts, of course, was that “Democrats support working families more than Republicans do.” I hope the Rocky Mountain News acknowledges the fact that a majority of registered voters in Colorado (Republican registrations outnumber Democrats) do not want to read this drivel for the entire year before this event happens.
It’s bad enough that I’m forced to pay for it with charges from Xcel, Qwest and the rest of the Corporate sponsors who will, of course, pass on all expenses associated with their contributions to the DNC in rates charged to their consumers, but the local media overkill might be too much to take. Add all this to the ranting’s of your far left wing nut, Mike Littwin, and it’s little wonder that more and more people are turning to the Internet for their news.
This letter has not been edited.
Why is it I think if it were the Republican convention, Mr. Ruffin would be hard pressed to mount his claims of having to pay for it, indirectly, through charges from Xcell and Qweat sponsorship? And, I doubt that he would turn his vitrol on to the right wing media's touting the event.
It's ok if I agree with it and not if I don't attitudes are not only nonsensical, they are trite and boring.

Good letter and no kidding. The Democratic party has been hijacked by the ultra leftists/liberals. Past Democratic presidents such as Roosevelt, Kennedy etc. wouldn't recognize the party today. You are correct, these type of activists just spout off bumper sticker stereotypes and expect the public to think it's a trait of the group. Unfortunately many are gullible and take these misrepresentations as legitimate truisms.
Having the DNC here where I can feel it or should I say feel the effect of it, really opened my eyes to Politics. They put it above the good of the people. It is spent on prettying up for the party, rather than maintaining a standard of life for the inner city neighborhoods or fence.

You really want the answers, well the answer I should say, because that's all it takes. here goes: Political expediency and corruption are synonymous, so are Politician and liar, special interests and ignoring the public good , deception and politics and legislative ethics and absurdity. And Hank...you need a serious lesson in economics.
Fact - The U.S. deficit was at it's lowest point (most money owed) when Bill Clinton took office. When he left office, he had created the first budget surplus in more than 30 years.
The deficit experienced net gains throughout all 8 years of his presidency. When he left office, there was a $236 BILLION dollar SURPLUS.
Within in his first term, George Bush, not only erased that surplus dropped it $123 BILLION dollars below it's previous lowest point.
Do you understand that?
Bush spent a $236 billion dollar surplus as well as $413 billion dollars we didn't have.
Thats $649 BILLION dollars that he blew through in less than 5 years.
http://www.uuforum.org/deficit.htm
Yes, we have gained back some of those losses, but there is still a long way to go.
George Akerlof, a U.S. citien who won a Nobel prize in economics called the Bush adminstration the "worst ever" in American history.
"In the long term, a deficit of this magnitude is not manageable. We are moving into the period when, beginning around 2010, baby boomers are going to be retiring. That is going to put a severe strain on services like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. This is the time when we should be saving. "
"The administration, when speaking about the budget, has unrealistically failed to take into account a very large number of important items. As of March 2003, the CBO estimated that the surplus for the next decade would approximately reach one trillion dollars. But this projection assumes, among other questionable things, that spending until 2013 is going to be constant in real dollar terms. That has never been the case. And with the current tax cuts, a realistic estimate would be a deficit in excess of six trillion".
Your self-made rhetoric won't stand up to hard facts, Hank.

Sam Nunn Weighing White House Run
Former Democratic Sen. Sam Nunn says he is disappointed with the current presidential campaign and is considering a bipartisan or independent run for the White House in 2008.
“It’s a possibility, not a probability,” Nunn said in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“My own thinking is, it may be a time for the country to say, ‘Timeout. The two-party system has served us well, historically, but it’s not serving us now.’”
The Georgian said he’s distressed by the “fiasco” in Iraq, the out-of-control federal budget, U.S. energy policy, and a presidential campaign that has not dealt straight on with important issues.
“I am frustrated, and clearly frustrated, with the fact that I think my children and grandchildren are not going to have the kind of future they should be having,” he told the newspaper.
Nunn, 68, made his mark as a defense-minded hawk and is still considered an expert on national security. He retired from the Senate in 1996 and now heads a nonprofit organization that seeks to reduce the threat from nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.

The traditional "conservative" moniker as applied in those other nations is more akin to the way the label was used in this country before special interests, quasi theocracy and corrupted power took it over. I used to think myself as relatively conservative -- I still do. But I have very little in common with those who have hijacked the term and started justifying the selling out of this country in the name of "conservatism."
The Republican Party has been transformed into an enigma wrapped in a question by these new "conservatives". We saw the same thing happen to the Democratic Party in this country when the ultra-liberals starting dragging it around by the nose.

The convention is supposed to be a boon to the economy. HMMMMM, when the bills come in for the extra police, the overtime, the ogus lawsuits from so called faciast police brutality. What will that cost. How much will the local commerce or for that matter metro wide commerce cost in loses for rerouting of traffic, detours ect. Who is to house the homeless , who by the way have increased ion numbers under the liberal era of prosperity. Just where are these warm hearted libs going to stuff the homeless in order to make a good false impression of Denver in the MSM when they come to town. What city is going to face lawsuits from homeless advocates who are demanding houseing for these people on tax payers money?
How or should i ask who will the shop owners in LODO and the 16th street mall turn in thier bills towhen the anarchists and antiG-8 crowd riot? Actually how many of us will suffer higher rates to help pay for these punks avbuse of the Denver streets?
I see a boon in the Diamond Caberet and Shotgun Willies nightly revenue as the horndogs here for the convention get riled up at night.
How many workers in the Denver city will be displaced in thier daily events, parking and lunches as conventioners take over and refuse to pay for the parking and block, clog the streets.
I just do not see the bennies of this convention.

Posted by Mike D. on August 26, 2007 08:06 PMWho controls the purse strings for the pork barrel; Republicans, Democrats -- or both?
In a sign of just how deeply entrenched Congress's pork barrel culture has become, Democrats on Capitol Hill are delaying sending President Bush an ethics bill they've already passed that purports to reform lobbyist reporting and earmarks. The reason? They're afraid Mr. Bush will veto the bill, which makes only cosmetic changes on the earmark process, gutting the reforms Congress voted earlier this year. The White House has called what remains "worthless."
"We've been waiting for whether or not they would veto the bill before we sent it out," Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, told Politico.com. "We want a better handle on what the White House plans to do. We'll send it when we're ready."
Why the game of chicken? Earmarks are now a major industry on Capitol Hill, accounting, for example, for nearly 10% of the last transportation bill. As Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma points out, they also serve as a "gateway drug" used to buy votes for much bigger-ticket spending bills like the 2003 Medicare prescription-drug entitlement.
Pretending that the earmark process will be made transparent and accountable as a result of a phony ethics bill is vital to Congress's effort to convince voters they've sobered up on spending. Among other travesties, the new ethics bill strips out previously agreed-upon language barring members from trading earmarks for votes, and in the Senate vests none other than Majority Leader Reid with the power to determine if an item is subject to earmark-disclosure rules.
Concealing just how the pork-barrel culture works is important to congressmen in both parties, because the process can't really be defended on the merits. Nothing illustrates that better than the exchange that took place just before Congress broke for its August recess between Democratic Rep. John Murtha, the overlord of spending on the House Appropriations Committee, and GOP Rep. John Campbell, a antipork reformer from California.
Mr. Campbell, a certified accountant, rose to challenge a $2 million earmark for a "paint shield" being developed by the Sherwin-Williams Co. in Cleveland. Since the actual sponsor of the earmark, Rep. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, chose not to defend her handiwork, Mr. Murtha took up the cudgel on her behalf. Mr. Campbell simply wanted to know if the Pentagon had asked for the paint shield, since the rationale for the spending was that it would "protect people against microbial threats."
Mr. Murtha imperiously assured Mr. Campbell that the shield was "a very worthwhile project," and that "I'm sure the military is interested in this kind of research."
Mr. Campbell persisted and asked if, "in fact, the military has asked for this kind of technology?" When Mr. Murtha was silent, Mr. Campbell said, "I guess the answer to that is no."
He then proceeded to ask if any research had been done to show that the "paint shield" would actually be effective. An impatient Mr. Murtha replied that "we look at every [earmark]. We ask the members to vet them. Our staff vets them. We go over every single earmark." But he could offer no evidence of the effectiveness of the shield beyond saying that Sherwin-Williams was "a very qualified contractor."
When asked if other paint companies working on a similar product had been given the opportunity to bid on the research,
Mr. Murtha claimed in exasperation that "every one of these earmarks [is] competitively granted under the regulations of the Defense Department," and that for their $2 million outlay, the taxpayers would own the fruits of whatever Sherwin-Williams came up with in its lab.
Mr. Campbell explained that the whole point of an earmark is that it bypasses normal competitive bidding and guarantees the recipient doesn't have to compete for federal money. In addition, taxpayers are rarely, if ever, given ownership of any part of the research they pay for, since companies and universities routinely seek earmarks so they can get the government to foot the bill for their basic research.
The Campbell-Murtha exchange vividly illustrates why many Americans would be upset if the earmark process were ever opened up to serious scrutiny. Members of both parties are complicit in keeping the game going and trying to foist a fake reform bill off on President Bush. Only 17 senators tried to block passage of the bill. Mr. Campbell won only 91 votes, less than a quarter of the House, for his amendment to strike the paint shield.
The Club for Growth has just issued a "RePORK card" grading every House member on 50 amendments to kill outrageous pork projects this year. The results are illuminating. The Pork Hall of Shame--those who voted against all 50 reform amendments--totaled 105--81 Democrats and 24 Republicans. The average GOP score was 43%, the average Democratic score only 2%. Only one Democrat voted against pork more than a fifth of the time--Rep. Jim Cooper of Tennessee, who racked up a 98% antipork score and is unlikely to be invited to dinner with any Appropriations Committee chairmen anytime soon.
The best way to change Congress's culture would be for Mr. Bush to reject the faux reform bill. Nothing would more anger the spending barons of Congress or highlight just how the budget process has become perverted. Even if Congress were to override Mr. Bush's veto, the debate would be tremendously educational for voters.
Already, a knowledge of the excesses of earmarks is starting to seep into the popular culture. GOP Sen. Ted Stevens, the so-called King of Pork, recently suffered the humiliation of seeing FBI agents raid his Alaskan home in search of evidence in an earmark-corruption scandal. He has become semi-famous as the defender of such earmark outrages as the "Bridge to Nowhere."
Last week comedian Drew Carey took a jab at Mr. Stevens while he explained his new duties as the host of the game show "The Price is Right." Mr. Carey told NBC's "Today" show that he had warmed to the idea of hosting the show: "You're giving away prizes all day and making everybody happy. . . . You couldn't do better." But then he explained the best part of the job: "And it's not even your money. You're giving away money and getting credit for it. I feel like a congressman. I'm like the junior Ted Stevens."
Members of Congress like to think of themselves in pursuing the national interest in a dignified manner. Exposing how earmarks really work would make maintaining that image all the more difficult. Members would much prefer to keep the game show going and keep the details of who foots the bill hidden behind the curtain.
None of the above.
As an unafilliated voter I'd like some real representation. Unfortunately neither party can/will sell me on their "plan".
Thomas Jefferson gave us one rep per 30,000 citizens, which is now more than 1 rep per 750,000 due to the House of Representatives ILLEGALLY setting their numbers 100 years ago. At that time in history we were experiencing huge numbers of immigrants from Europe. In the past 100 years our US population has tripled, without a single new voice added to the House.
TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION..
Posted by janis houston on August 26, 2007 09:24 PMThe problem with any political convention is usually in the disruption. Normal conventions don't require "safe" zones nor extra security. Politicians formerly didn't requires so much security but the tone of the world has changed ever since the Kennedy assassination. There is even an added layer since 9/11. That said, I expect some will benefit from this convention but many will have difficulties created by either mistaken perceptions of what might be or by distortions based on what they see from via media. Recreate 68 has already announced it's decisions to to disrupt the convention so there is another problem.
As for the individual parties there is one thing that both have done and that is to let their message become mixed. Not because of a new direction or a major change in beliefs but because of a desire to be more liked. Perhaps we should buy them a copy of that Beatles's song, "Can't Buy Me Love."
Pocketbook appreciation is never going to work and the end result is that few will listen to or give much support to those that attempt such things. Organizations or people who have the advantage of a full purse are going to take over whether or not their contributions are accepted because they can promote their message and view of the party independently of the party itself. Individual elected officials, especially at the state and local level, can be pushed out of the picture entirely by large amounts of cash. There is only one solution to that problem and that is individuals must inform themselves and be ready to work for candidates they can trust. Not easy, and some look a lot more trustworthy than they really are. Look at our senators. One will retire and the other one has changed course many times thus angering people on both sides of issues.
I am a conservative republic (I like that term) and this bunch of clowns is competing to see how many votes they can buy by throwing part of our money back at us. We need a lot of individuals to get involved and stay involved. because change is possible if you work long enough.
I was one of the founders of a PAC many years ago. We helped win on a ballot initiative, people not money were they key, and then a few years later had to fight an attempt to overturn it. Both times our opponents outspent us five to one or more and we won because most of the ballot initiatives concern areas where people have either strong opinions or no opinion. The basis of any campaign for a ballot initiative will be to gain the support of those who didn't have an opinion. The tactics for this are many but I think it's safe to say that a good initiative campaign will make certain that not only do their efforts inform but they are timed to make the other guy's ads work for your position too. How you do that is two fold but the first part is to know what the other side will say. I'm not letting go of the other half of the "secret."
I plan to live my life in no different way when the convention is here than I do now. I will support all efforts of the Denver police to maintain order. If it were the Republican convention it would generate both more and less income and the same amount of disruption. Limo drivers would get more business and the taxi drivers less with Republics. Caterers will get more money and the local restaurants will get less with Democrats as people avoid the area because of traffic tie ups and other things. No matter who is in town, liquor stores, strip joints and the ladies leaning on parking meters on East Colfax will prosper and maintain the status a comic once gave them.
"Denver, nothing changes..The parking meters still take a nickel and the ladies leaning on them still take a five."

We are in dire straits, everyday costs, tax, labor, supply, operating, workmens comp, insurance, all of these costs and more are increasing, while net income is decreasing.
Don't the people get the picture? If this continues in the private sector and is mirrored a hundred fold in government spending the only result can be another increase in taxes for everyone etc, etc, ad nauseam, in an ever increasing downward spiral to bankruptcy. Very few people today can remember the horrors of the Great Depression but American History books are available everywhere. I suggest you read them. This irresponsible, spendthrift government and the economic corruption it fosters is a tell tale sign we are on the road to another depression.
The people better wake up, all it would take to push this country over the edge would be for China to cash it the hundreds of billions of dollars worth of T bonds And T bills it has amassed with the help of our corrupt politicians and their big business masters.
It could happen overnight, just like it did in 1929. Don't kid yourself it couldn't happen. That's what people did and, allowed the government to do back then, only to wake up one dark rainy morning to find they were broke, businesses closed, no work. no food, no place to lay their weary head and nothing, nada, they could do about it. It took a long, long time, plus World War Two to bring the country back to solvency. If you think the propaganda that the FDIC will save you, your nuts, Its a federal creation and if the country is broke where do you think the money will come from? Yes the budget had it's first surplus in 30 years just before Clinton left office. He had also eviscerated the CIA, and politicized what was left. Ask the people who were at Ground Zero whether they think Clinton did a good job on security.
One other problem was that under Clinton, the SEC allowed lax accounting practices which artificially inflated stock values. It was only when the bubble burst that anyone started paying attention.
I'm not defending Bush. I voted for him because he was the second worst candidate available in both the 2000 and 2004 elections.

In either case it's nonproductive, worthless, absurd and nonsensical blathering about absolutely nothing that anyone, anywhere at any time except a mentally deficient idiot, cares about.

Keith who is in line to replace Gonzo? I hear Bush is considering Haldeman or Erlichman, just to give his administration a touch of humanity and honesty.
I can`t believe that all you Republics actually want this convention to be a mess. You sound like you want 68 to prove your agendas and your beliefs are correct.
And you guys say Democrats want a loss in Iraq.
Why not look for ways to make this work?

Kennedy=Laura both killed one.
Posted by Sharon B. on August 27, 2007 11:52 AMAt least Laura didn't save herself and run home and call all her influencial friends while the other person was slowly drowning before notifying the authorities hours later.

THOMAS
where did you dig up this outfit?
http://www.uuforum.org/
Are you trying to use it as an unbiased source? It's about as left as you can get. The SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE
UNITARIAN CHURCH OF STATEN ISLAND…..???? C’mon, Thomas, get real.
I love how you and others continue to quote manipulated and out of context statistics.
You said "And Hank...you need a serious lesson in economics”.
Thomas YOU you need a serious lesson in economics.
“Fact - The U.S. deficit was at it's lowest point (most money owed) when Bill Clinton took office. When he left office, he had created the first budget surplus in more than 30 years.”
FACT: Clinton INHERITED a thriving economy and proceeded to reduce military spending to such an extent that it CREATED a surplus.
The deficit experienced net gains throughout all 8 years of his presidency. When he left office, there was a $236 BILLION dollar SURPLUS.
FACT: Bush had not only resumed military spending but had to reverse the ruination brought on by Clinton. Anyone in power after 9/11 would have had to do that. He also had to reverse negative trend that Clintan caused because Clinton wanted his legacvy to look good. Clinton ran the country like a rogue CEO cum ENRON, I don’t care what happens in the future, as long as my shift looks good.
Within in his first term, George Bush, not only erased that surplus dropped it $123 BILLION dollars below it's previous lowest point.
FACT::: more of the same
And FACT::: George Akerlof (born June 17, 1940) is Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a trustee of the Economists for Peace and Security. Do you think he leans a bit left.
Is that quote you give from him? If so are you implying that that is why he shared the Noble Prize for Economics?

Equal time - Nice post. I noticed you focused only on the rep element. Have you ever visited the dem criminal listings? Lets just say the required reading time for that list is a bit longer.
Regardless, if you're trying to make a dem=good, rep=bad argument you fail the common sense test.
They all have criminals amongst them and very few, if any, care about the general welfare of the constituants.
It's time for a clean sweep in 08 and strict term limits to boot. Until that happens it won't matter who has the majority or who's in the white house.
Posted by KW on August 27, 2007 12:45 PMEqual time I'm impressed with your research.
Are you sure all the names on this laundry list aren't aliases for Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank and Jesse Jackson?
Is that the best you can do? All these guys are small potatoes which your average citizen and voter has never heard of or cares about. Sounds like they would find their real calling in the Democratic Party. I feel confident you would welcome them with open arms as you do with all the sexual perverts you already have.
It's Young Republicans Keith. They would either go AWOL or shoot you in the back.

(R-LA) Vitter wearing "diapers" in a whorehouse, singing stanzas from "Just-a-Swinging". (R-ID) US Sen. Craig just paid a $500.00 fine for a restroom tryst. I thought the GOP were just draft dodgers, surrender monkeys, deafeatist, and communist-siders. These good old boys believe in "drop-trou". There goes their gay marriage ban.

good post, too bad the Cons seem to be in a constant state of denial....not to mention arousal.
At least our Billy C. had the class to get some from a cute intern in the Oval office, not from a stranger in a a public rest room ......Ewwww
(And he did it while keeping us safe from terrorists, not a single plane hit a building on his watch.)
Posted by dmz on August 27, 2007 07:15 PMaf,the Newt Gingrich with the republican congress put together the bill that balance the budget, which clinton vetod twice. So the Republican congress went to the public, only after pressure from the public did clinton sign the bill.Fact.Of course clinton lied to the American people after Gingrich's bill balance the budget saying he did it.Another lie from clinton.Because of clinton 9/11 happened. Our economy took a 2 trillion dollar hitcausing a deficit.Fact.The people responsible for the corporate scandels were running there companies like clinton was running the government. They went to jail,he walk with millions.Fact.af,Find out the facts before you make a fool of yourself.Fact.

Posted by Keith on August 28, 2007 09:16 AMThe funny thing about the list of Republican pedofiles, adulterers, homosexuals, and prostitution clients is that they are the Family Values Party, they actually try to use their morality as a reason to vote for them which is why its hilarious everytime they fail ( like Larry Craig just did). Are the Dems any better? probably not but then they don't PRETEND to be better, they run more on issues and running the country as opposed to trying to run one's bedroom (as the GOP wants to do)
Posted by the Anti-Keith on August 28, 2007 10:24 AMre-name this convention to lie-a-la-polousa.
Posted by Keith on August 28, 2007 10:57 AMKeithy, After listeing to the White House for the last 6 years, how would you be able to tell a lie from the truth? Republican hypocrites, gotta love em. Here's a tip Keith: If you are a member of the Vegetarian Party dont get caught eating a steak...pas that on to Gingrich, Ruddy, Foley, Vitters, Craig, etc...
Posted by the Anti-Keith on August 28, 2007 11:18 AMIt sounds as you people have already forgotten Rep. Mel Reynolds (D-Ill.)
Freshman Reynolds was indicted on Aug. 19, 1994, on charges of having sex with a 16-year-old campaign worker and then pressuring her to lie about it. Reynolds, who is black, denied the charges and said the investigation was racially motivated. The GOP belatedly put up a write-in candidate for November, but Reynolds dispatched him in the overwhelmingly Democratic district with little effort. Reynolds was convicted on Aug. 22, 1995 of 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography, was sentenced to five years in prison, and resigned his seat on October 1.
Of course he never learned is lesson. He was later convicted of bank fraud. Fortunately for Reynolds, as Clinton was leaving office he granted him a pardon.
Posted by KW on August 28, 2007 01:20 PMKW, I didnt forget Reynolds at all, it's just not that 'newsy' when one of the Dems screws up. you see, they dont run on the Family Values platform, they dont pretend to be holier than thou..thats the republican trademark to crucify someone for behaior they are condemning..but usually secretly doing it them selves. I'd have compassion for Vitters, Foley, Craig, Gingrich and the rest if they hadnt been so anti-gay or sanctimonious about the Clinton affair. Their hypocrisy is why I would never trust a Republican. How do you tell if they are lying? answer-their lips are moving
Posted by the Anti-Keith on August 28, 2007 01:29 PMSo you're ok with sexual assualt on a minor if as long as a dem does it, but if a rep text msg's someone, watchout?
Is this your democratic values in action?
Posted by KW on August 28, 2007 02:17 PMCastro settled for your guys, relax!
" Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro is tipping Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to team up and win the U.S. presidential election.
Clinton leads Obama in the race to be the Democratic nominee for the November 2008 election, and Castro said they would make a winning combination.
"The word today is that an apparently unbeatable ticket could be Hillary for president and Obama as her running mate," he wrote in an editorial column on U.S. presidents published on Tuesday by Cuba's Communist Party newspaper, Granma.
At 81, Castro has outlasted nine U.S. presidents since his 1959 revolution turned Cuba into a thorn in Washington's side by building a communist society about 90 miles offshore from the United States.
He said all U.S. presidential candidates seeking the "coveted" electoral college votes of Florida have had to demand a democratic government in Cuba to win the backing of the powerful Cuban exile community.
Clinton and Obama, both senators, called for democratic change in Cuba last week.
Castro has not appeared in public since intestinal illness forced him to hand over power to his brother Raul Castro in July last year.
He has turned to writing dozens of columns and essays, but rumors that his health is worsening or that he may even be dead have swirled through the Cuban exile community in Miami in the last two weeks.
Castro's only reference to U.S. President George W. Bush in his latest essay was to say that he "needed fraud" to win Florida's electoral college votes and the presidency in the fiercely contested election in 2000. "

HILLARY'S FIRST NIGHT AS PRESIDENT
Hillary Clinton was sworn in today as President. She has disposed of
Bill and is spending her first night alone in the White House.
She has waited several years for this.
FIRST NIGHT
Suddenly! The ghost of George Washington appears to her, and Hillary
says, "How can I best serve my country?"
Washington says, "Never tell a lie."
"Ouch!" Says Hillary, "I don't know about that."
SECOND NIGHT
The next night, the ghost of Thomas Jefferson appears...Hillary says,
"How can I best serve my country?"
Jefferson says,
"Listen to the people." "Ohhh!
I really don't want to do that."
THIRD NIGHT
On the third night, the ghost of Abe Lincoln appears...Hillary says,
"How can I best serve my country?"
Lincoln says,
"Go to the theater."
08:54 If only Abe had visited Bush that first night..sigh imagine the lives that would have been saved....not to mention the 400 Billion dollars subtracted from our debt. Abe you let us down!!!! There might even still be a decent republican party if you had sent Bush to the theatre or to the Dallas Book Depository.
