Kind of reminds you of when a certain person said something about what the definition of a certain word was. Both sides do it Michael, so let us agree about that and move on toward a solution.
Posted by Christian Conspiracy on August 23, 2007 02:35 PMYou are right, we should impeach all those who use the I don't recall defense.... Mrs Clinton, please step up to the guillotine...

Posted by beating Keith to the punch on August 23, 2007 03:21 PMSo Hillary, did you ever recall where you stashed all those Rose law firms land deal documents?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
Posted by Hank on August 23, 2007 05:09 PMWonderful joke from the Jay Leno show:
This Administration is getting to be more and more like the old film The Wizard of Oz.
Sheney needs a heart. Gonzales could use some courage. And Bush needs a brain.

Now that's funny! Glad you are over your move. Oh my,, you didn't move into his mountains did you? He'll pitch another fit.
Kind of fun to have a post where the opinions match each other instead of trying to see who can be the rudest.
I might have to go to the hospital...my nephew will loan me his wi fi laptop when I get out of surgery so I'll be back sooner than ever.
Posted by momma y on August 24, 2007 01:49 AMOG, I missed that you moved. Roughly, where are you. I live in Grand Junction and really miss Denver, where I grew up. And Morrison, that little artsy town was a dump when I was 18 and moved away from it.
I often wonder what Laura still sees in Bush? Can`t be his witty conversations.
Posted by Sharon B. on August 24, 2007 06:41 AMYou know, maybe it's just possible they don't recall. Given the exponential increase in the use of that term, I don't recall, and the ever increasing ineptness and the inability of the legislative minions of special interests to understand that it is We The People they are supposed to represent and it is our best interest that they legally have to put before all others. Given all this it would seem that being to long exposed to what I euphemistically call the PoliticiansThree Ring Circus and Liars Anonymous Society, may be a cause of Attention Deficient Disorder.
There is also hard evidence reported in a study done by somebody, somewhere within the FDA or maybe it was the NSA, that suggests that, over time, such exposure might also cause Bipolar Disorder and, the dreaded Pathological Slithering Disorder.
All this would support the fact that the I Don't Recall Syndrome is directly related to involuntary exposure to second hand politics.
Posted by Allen Campbell on August 24, 2007 08:25 AMHi Sharon & momma y,
This was a move of the temporary office where I spend a few hours a day appearing to be industrious. We were sharing space with another organization - after selling our own building - during the loooooooooooong wait to get all the paperwork done necessary to build.
Unfortunately, the complications of trying to keep files and computer records all up to date at some 4 different places at once just didn't pan out. So, it was pack up and try again. Then came the problem of getting everything sorted out, and settled down - at least for now - in a new location. (And the wonderful sense of anticipation of having to do it all over again when, as, IF the various boards and authorities ever decide to let the building get built.)
Time consuming - or WASTING - at best.
Personally, still where I've been in the Metro-Denver area the past 25+ years.
Ah! Morrison! How I remember those summer bike rides, over old Morrison Road, up Bear Creek Canyon - so much of which is under water now by way of all the park development and flood control work, even the old apple orchard/farm my friend, Paul's Aunt & Uncle had creekside, where we spent the night in the hayloft sometimes. But, that's 65 years ago, and more, when one could actually ride a bicycle in these parts.
Today, it's still enjoyable to go up by auto, and walk through some of the shops and antique places. Found a couple of nice old silver headed walking sticks up there a while back, down one of the side streets. Sure helps when the arthritis speaks up.
momma y,
I certainly hope everything goes well for you; and that you have a spedy recovery.
Well, not much on topic here. But, then again, not much topic to begin with, either. And I think Leno really summed that up.
Best to all; and I'll look forward to seeing you around.
Hank- how was it that the millions we spent on the estimable Mr. Starr were not sufficient to turn up those documents you're so worried about. I'd think also that the congress under the leadership of Newt (the toot) Gingrich and his cadre of contract on America republics should have been able to turn something up. And how would those documents relate to any attempt to turn the DOJ into another mechanism for electing/re-electing republic politicians?
Posted by patrick on August 24, 2007 09:16 AMOG,
Congrats on you move, and hope that indeed everything is settling down for you. Good luck with everything that may come up again as well.
Kind of a silly topic. Mr. Neil starts out the letter by saying "Tales of lies and omissions. This presidency has been full of them..." but then goes on to talk about the Attorney General. Hmmmm... Maybe more appropriate if Mr. Neil said "this ADMINISTRATION?" Picking nits, I know, but I do agree, if the Attorney General continues to lie, and is not removed and replaced, or resigns, he should be impeached. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
Too bad all of this hoopla is about a non-issue in the firings of US Attorney's. Oh well...

Posted by Keith on August 27, 2007 08:41 AMAt the very moment that people from around the country are preparing to descend on Washington DC for a massive march for peace and impeachment, Alberto Gonzales announced today that he is joining Karl Rove in the mad dash to flee Bush's sinking ship.
Gonzales, like Rove, is under scrutiny for lying to Congress. Under direction from Bush and Cheney, Gonzales will be remembered in history as the infamous guardian and legal “justifier” for a regime of torture, massive secret spying of the American people and the suspension of Due Process and other cherished rights.
The crumbling of Bush’s inner circle is a sure sign that those who participated in the criminal acts of the administration are seeking to avoid the hard glare of a country that has turned against the Iraq war and the administration itself.
The September 15 March on Washington will be led by Iraq war veterans and their families. Veterans from other conflicts will also join them in the very front ranks of the demonstration that will begin at noon at the White House and be followed by a march to Congress.
