Had it with no-shows
Thursday, August 16 at 12:01 AM

What has happened to manners?
We have our house listed for sale. The last two days we have been called by a booking agent making appointments for different real estate agents to show the house. Not one of them showed up, and there were no calls, no cancellation calls — nothing! They could at least have had the courtesy to make a simple phone call!
This is very inconvenient for us. We and our dogs have to be out of the house for two to four hours while waiting for someone to show it.
All I want them to do is show some manners and call the booking agency to tell them they canceled.
I’ve had it with no-shows.

There is no excuse for rude realtors. They should have called and said their clients weren't interested.

However alot of people look at the outside first and decide whether to go in.It could be they didn't like the style or curb appeal.

That's still no excuse. You should have called the realtors and told them what they did was wrong, because of all the trouble you had to go through.

Good Luck selling your house in this market. Also take a good look at the outside of your house to make sure it has curb appeal.

Dusty, don't feel bad. We were selling a house once, and some lookers showed up unannounced....CHRISTMAS DAY. Rudest couple of jerks I ever met. To make matters worse, I was dumb enough to let them in (the house had been listed for awhile and they were the first to come looking). It was afterwards I kicked myself for even letting them in.

These are the same type of morons who don't use their turn signals. Simply ZERO
consideration for others.

Dusty,

You should direct your booking agency to do what hairstylists and dentists and other professionals do. Charge a cancellatioon fee if the realtor and their clients are no shows.

The realtor is a business person. This isn't about manners. It's about time and money.
Their client requested a showing. They booked a time to do so. They have a responsibility to show up or cancel.

Advise your agency to advise all realtors that request a showing they will be billed a set fee if they fail to show or cancel within one hour prior to the scheduled showing.
