Yesterday’s Opinion/ Editorial needs some clarification: Ms. Salinas speaks about the “anti-immigrant rhetoric” of presidential candidates, but she does not cite a single example of their rhetoric. She cites examples of anti-illegal alien rhetoric, which reflects the views of over 80% of the American people. That Salinas does not make a distinction between legal and illegal immigrants is the root of her problem in failing to understand how American democracy works. No more criminal activity should be allowed by illegal alien invaders. People want laws enforced and the invaders status exposed. A perfect example is the execution of the three young college students with a promising future at the Newark massacre. Surely, she knows the meaning of the word ILLEGAL...she needs to use it!

This voter-fraud was engineered by legal Mexican, US Sen. Salazar. While state attorney general, Salazar permitted the GOP to do a slick Texas-style redistricting in Northeast Denvers, with the intent of nullifying black votes. Slazar and the GOP conspired to do this because they didn't want blacks to have a voice in our federal funded cash-cows (T-REX, Fas Tracks, CBMS, Fitzsimons, etc.). Obama ain't black ENUFF!

LOS ANGELES-All of her life, Zoila Meyer believed she was an American. She even won election to the City Council.

Now she is facing a threat of deportation for illegally voting, because she never became a citizen after being brought to this country from Cuba when she was 1 year old.

In April 2006, she pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of fraudentent voting and was placed on probation,fined and ordered to pay restitution. What Meyer didn't realize is that fraudently voting is a deportable offense.

When an educated person does not distinguish between actions inside the boudnaries of the law and those clearly outside, you have to assume that this person does so purposefully. When a cause lacks moral high ground, tantrums and word games are inevitable. What is left to them besides cheap theatre? The illegal aliens had so much more sympathy from Americans before the demonstrations last year and told us who they are.

An article in today's Denver Post, stated that Murguia (the RACE) was in town to meet with Senator Ken Salazar, Pena and Hispanic groups to see how they can get illegals to apply for citizenship and then get them registered to vote.

I am a retired Immigration Officer that spent over twenty six years talking to, interviewing and learning about many different types of aliens both legal and illegal. That work gave me the opportunity to recognize aliens by a variety of factors simply by observing them.

I was recently in Denver. In fact, I spent a week there in June and travelled locally little more than was necessary because it was a business trip. I did visit restaurants, motels, airports etc and drove around the city going from one place to another.

So what did I encounter around Denver in the way of probable aliens? I encountered much the same mix that you see in Denver every day, Australian, Egyptian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Canadian, Irish, Israeli, Nigerian, Indian, Pakistani, Lebanese, Turk, Greek, Mexican, and I will guess Sudanese.

Essentially the situation in Denver is similar to other large cities I have visited. You have significant aliens in your midst and many of them are not from Mexico. So why the fascination with the Mexican illegal alien?

The problem we are facing in the United States is from all illegal aliens within our borders, both now and in the future. This is what we need to focus on and this is the issue that must be addressed.

Now that Bush has opened the borders to trucks from Mexico We shouldn't see illegals coming in Vans . Now they can bring them in in Semi trucks. Terrorists can load a truck in Mexico and drive straight through to any Destination. Wonderful right??????

I couldn't agree more with Jan Herron. For years now we have been told to be politically correct and quite simply political correctness is a good way to hide right from wrong. It's way past the time that we simply tell the truth. Illegal immigration is just that, illegal! Illegals don't take jobs from "Americans who didn't finish school or who are lazy", they take jobs from American citizens who need to earn a decent wage, and illegals are willing to work cheaper. It's time to crack down on businesses who hire illegals, and it's time to secure our borders for all who cross illegally, whether they mean us harm or not!
