Michael Vick
This letter has not been edited.
We can only hope , he is not allowed to play another down of NFL football again, and he chooses to spend the rest of his life as an advocate for pooches.
I doubt that idiot will do either though
Posted by Fresh on August 23, 2007 02:24 PMIt wouldn't matter if he could apologize to the dogs or not. They would not understand him.
Posted by on August 23, 2007 02:45 PM2:45 I was just thinking that. People wake up! Animal cruelty will always be wrong but treating a pet like it's more valuable than a human being come on!!

Posted by on August 23, 2007 02:55 PMSome animals ARE more valuable than SOME human beings.
I would gladly put myself at a considerable risk to save a dog, but I wouldn't bother to pee on George Bush if he were on fire.

I do agree that the letter writer's statement about apologizing to dead dogs is a bit delusional, in that canines really don't receive any benefit from human apologies. However, where in the letter did the writer say anything about pets being better than humans?!
Since when has Leroy wrote a lucid email. He tries every week sometimes more, and has yet to get a passing grade. Wonder if his mom prints them out and puts them on the fridge?
Posted by on August 23, 2007 03:50 PMSo what if Vick is just the tip of the iceberg? Will vick roll on the NFL gamblers, meth and cocaine crowd that we haven't yet heard about? Stay tuned!
The NFL is at risk, this could be quite a season for its fans.
Posted by Hank on August 23, 2007 04:44 PMHEY, ANONYMOUS AT 3:50. Sorry, but if you are going to criticize someone's writing, the least you can do is make sure you have no mistakes of your own.
I wonder if you can spot your mistake. Good luck. (personally, I think it is GLARING)
It would appear that many of you missed a very important point in the original letter. He said:
1)Mr. Vick wishes to take full responsibility and and apologize to all those that were hurt.
A natural assumption is that Mr. Vick thinks SOMEONE got hurt. We all know that it was primarily the dogs that got hurt, correct?
okay... stay with me.
He then asked:
2) Tell me, how can Mr. Vick apologize to the dead dogs...
That would lead me to the understanding that he, the letter writer, KNOWS that Vick-the-Prick can't apologize to the dogs. That's why he used the word 'how'.
So, to all of you who thought it a bit 'delusional' that he ask for an apology to be given to a dead dog, it is YOUR mistake in the reading, not his mistake in the writing. He didn't ask for an apology, he merely asked HOW can Vick-the-Prick really offer any kind of an apology.
English Teacher
RE 03:50 - "Since when has Leroy wrote a lucid..."
Should be: Since when has Leroy written a lucid...
Do I get a star today, huh, please...
RE Your 05:22 IF the NFL lets Vick play again, we should petition them to make him wear the name you suggest on his uniform for life.
Posted by on August 23, 2007 06:17 PMCongratulations ANON. :-)
As I was typing my second post, I couldn't get the new name out of my head. It fits. He should have it tatooed to his forehead.
Posted by The English Teacher on August 23, 2007 07:12 PMtsk tsk tsk
The English Teacher you are slipping my friend. Spelling mistakes? This is not like you. Hoping it was just late in the day and someone distracted you. :-)
Second and sincere question.
Is it required to have quotations around a direct quote from author?
Posted by on August 23, 2007 08:05 PMVick should be and has been held accountable for murdering the dogs.
Now turn the same lawyers loose on Planned Parenthood.
Posted by skeptical on August 23, 2007 11:21 PMIn his plea agreement he will not plead guilty to injuring or killing the dogs, only guilty to being the financier.
His daddy claims he was fighting dogs back in 2001 in his family's garage!
The way I was raised, THAT is NOT taking Responsibility!

Posted by Perry on August 24, 2007 09:46 AMand when will he get into the hall of fame? will this hurt his chances, after all he wasnt betting on the game? Poor Pete Rose should have done drugs or something else than gamble
Posted by on August 24, 2007 10:30 AMLooks like Vick may have refused to take full responsibility, asserting that he never killed any dogs nor did he ever gamble on the fights.
But his estranged father, Boddie, claims that his son has a long history with dog fighting, he loves it and has the capacity to finance it. I don't know that Vick ever gambled or killed any dogs as being fact. What I know for sure is that the Feds know how to put the heat on Vick and that he could flip. I also know for sure that one of his associates, facing time, could easily flip on Vick. It ain't over until the fat lady sings, and somebody is very likely to sing.
The Vick fandango is likely just the tip of the iceberg. It could be a very ugly NFL season.
Posted by Hank on August 24, 2007 10:52 AM"I take full responsibility for my actions." What the hell does that mean? It can have meaning if the bastard endures the same as he imposed. Right?
Posted by Richard Grimes r22037@yahoo.com, Deicide ffrf.org. Web: http://www.geocities.com/r22037/think.html on August 24, 2007 01:33 PMTypical response by basically a street thug. You can take the man out of the gang, but you can't take the gang out of the man.
Not only did all of Michael Vick's dog-fighting associates agree to testify against him, looks like Vick himself will testify against others, in the hope of staying out of jail. Underscores what the 'Stop Snitching' credo actually means: Don't YOU tell on me, but if I get caught, I'll trade everything I know about you to the cops for a slice of pizza.
This is another example of a favorite pastime of street blacks: The half-hearted attempt at a moral code. Like flirtations with Islam, whereby prison converts still deal drugs, commit violence, father unsupported children out of wedlock, don't work, etc. In other words, the kinds of things that infuriate actual Muslims, and would get you shunned and/or killed in the Middle East. Like attempts at hierarchical gang structure, which always break down over petty squabbles. All of these things break down because street blacks have no character, and thus no discipline. It's akin to a child saying that he wants to be a fireman, or an astronaut.
Posted by on August 26, 2007 10:15 PMI sure hope Vick is introduced into the general prison population and not givin some cushy cell to himself.
There has got to be alot of dog loving inmates where he is going.
Goodbye Ron Mexico posuer QB.
He might break out but only with an onset of his well documented, genital herpes!
R. Goodell (NFL commish)should ban this "prick" for life. No other football organization should accept him when he finishes what may be a paltry sentence.
