Mike Littwin
As one who finds strength and simple common sense in Tancredo’s get-tough, no-nonsense positions on illegal immigration and the war on terror, I worry about America’s chances of success in securing our borders and keeping terrorists at bay with people like Littwin in our ranks of “concerned”

Tancredo is irrelevant
Posted by on August 20, 2007 02:08 PMNot nearly as irrelevant as Mike Twittwin.
Posted by RickyLee on August 20, 2007 02:15 PMand yet, Littwin writes about him, people talk about him. Does not sound irrelevant. Sounds like he is a thorn in the lib side. Sounds good to me.
Will he win the GOP presidential primary? nope, but he is keeping the illegals problem on the front burner.
Posted by Dravur on August 20, 2007 02:16 PMI wish some of the other candidates would start speaking up on their Illegal Immigrant solutions!
Posted by on August 20, 2007 02:19 PMThe reason the RMN keeps Littwin writing for the paper is because he keeps the blood boiling on both sides of the aisle. It's good for circulation. In fact, over the last couple of weeks there have been multiple letter submissions either pro or con of the man's work appearing in this blog -- all of them drawing stimulated discussions.
Read the man's column for entertainment, not fact. He's paid to spark controversy by expressing his biases and philosophical opinions. I have a hard time accepting anything he says as fact, including when I agree with what he's said.
Entertainment purposes only....
Posted by Trinity on August 20, 2007 02:31 PMLittwin is obsessed with Tancredo. One has only to scan his columns over the past year for the proof. There is hardly a column where Littwin fails to mention Tancredo regardless of the subject.
Some time ago, Littwin asked Tancredo if he could travel along with him on the campaign trail. Tancredo allowed him to do so. What followed was a virulent, ad hominem attack on Tancredo, dragging in his childhood, his father's alcoholism, and other innuendo that had nothing to do with Tancredo's positions.
I wish someone would do a similar piece on Littwin. Perhaps we could learn why a pudgy, middle aged man insists on wearing his hair in that ridiculous page boy cut or why he can't seem to trim or clean his moustache. Perhaps we can learn what demons haunt Littwin so much that he spends so much time obsessing about Tancredo.
Perhaps Trinity is right and it is all part of a desperate attempt to keep up the circulation numbers(raplidly dwindling, btw).
Littwin used to be a sports writer, I'm sure he knows the difference between reality and entertainment. So should we all.
Tancredo says outrageous things and acts as a gadfly to bring the illegal immigration issue to the forefront. He doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hades of getting elected, but I like the notion that he reminds both parties that a lot of us are sick of illegal immigration and appalled by the lack of any viable response by elected officials.
Posted by T on August 20, 2007 06:49 PMDespite where Tancredo sits in the poles. He has been consitant on his message. The message of ILLEGAL ALIENS. He said he would keep this issue in the publics eye and he has.
Littwin hates this as he is an open boarder supporter. An active leftist and a hack.
Posted by on August 20, 2007 07:11 PMYou got that right! If it wasn't for Tom Tancredo the illegal issue would never have made the spot light.
And he has ALWAYS been consistent in his support of the American people and American worker.
If the 1960s are history, then so is RMN resident socialist, Mike Littwin. The only place you can still actually get to hear and see tin-foil hat wearing Moonbats like this clown is in Boulder. Except for costal areas, they are becoming extinct. Another 50 years and these dead-enders on Darwin's Tree of Evolution will be found only in museums.
Posted by Hank on August 21, 2007 07:35 AMHank you are not supposed to believe in evolution. Didn't you get the latest wingnut letter?
Posted by It's True on August 21, 2007 07:58 AMLittwin is just anger because he cannot get Tancredo to help the terrorists win the war.Littwin is a Democrat so he wants the terrorists to win the war.Tancredo being a Republican he is not a coward or US hater and will try help the US win the war.

Posted by on August 21, 2007 10:21 AMAn American, your strawman is getting tired of the same setup and knockdown you offer in every missive you spew.
Democrats do not wish for the terrorists to win, will not be beaten by a successful surge. The Democrats want to seize your guns, they want to restrict free speech, and to put big brother in charge of your health.
The Republicans are extinct, replaced via an alien invasion ala Body Snatcher movie fame. Neoconservatives brew a potent kool-aid that has conservative Americans fantasizing of executing fellow Americans because these haters question the decider's wisdom.
The new Repugs wish to establish a Christian nation, base the constitution on the Bible, and ban abortion, birth control, sodomy, while teaching children to kill anyone that disagrees with the way the worship OUR God.
With two sides vitriolically spewing anti's at each other, the man behind the curtain laughs. Each regime (s)elected will continue the agenda of destroying our republic. Bush did a gr8 job, he shredded eight of our ten ammendments. Hillary will certainly keep the Iraqi occupation for our safety, finish banning privately owned guns, for our safety, and put the government in charge of our healthcare.
When each party finishes Americans lose.
Elect Ron Paul, the only politician to keep his oath to defend the constitution from ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.
Posted by holy reality on August 21, 2007 01:01 PMHoly Reality you say to vote for Ron Paul but what you do not realize is my "Strawman" has a better chance of being president than Ron Paul.He is better looking and has more name recognition than Ron Paul. The Strawman is on fire so join his campaign.
