Not the full story
The Associated Press story on marijuana usage (“Pot usage linked to greater risk of psychosis,” July 27) didn’t end where the Rocky Mountain News cut it.
The Rocky must have left a sentence out of the story that would make all the difference the world, since it would reveal that the study is yet another piece of pseudoscience from parties making a profit from marijuana’s illegality.
That sentence in the original story reads: “Several authors reported being paid to attend drug company-sponsored meetings related to marijuana, and one received consulting fees from companies that make antipsychotic medications.”
Jack J. Woehr, Golden
If marijuana was decriminalized, prozac, zoloft, wellbutrin, valium, rozeram, and cigarettes would all become obsolete.
Drugs like heroin, coke, and meth would lose their grip, and the "Drug War" would wither away.
Marijuana is a gift from nature, and like most of nature's gifts, Dominator Culture does all it can to destroy it.
Posted by George on August 7, 2007 12:21 PMRocky Mountain News will continue to help the government and Big Pharma to lie about the benefits of cannabis, because they are controlled by the liars that support poisonous prescription drugs and Big Pharm a profits. Cannabis has never caused one death, is indeed a gift from nature and will never go away.
Posted by on August 7, 2007 03:54 PMIncomplete news is, as with incomplete truth, a LIE.
As in propaganda, every watercooler comment on this reinforces what the government wants you to believe. Our independent media is a lapdog these days.
A 'therapist' neighbor of mine salivated at the headline.
Of course Marijuana is harmful, come see me whilst I charge you $165 / (40 minute)hr and we'll talk about it.
And to the religious type, if pot is so evil, then the God that created it made a mistake.
Is it possible the God's way of taking medications is by natural ingestion, rather than concentrated poisons that pharmaceutical corporations offer?
