Pride and regret over work at Manual
The Rocky’s coverage of the massive volunteer effort to resurrect Manual High School made me swell with pride (“Like a Thunderbolt, sparkling Manual to boom again/Volunteers work to get high school ready to open anew,” Aug. 10). But I felt a twinge of regret too, because, with memories of feeling awkward and uncomfortable as a high school teenager in mind, I rejected an offer to take part.
Still, I was reminded of how lucky I am to have been educated and acculturated at this urban underdog among Denver schools. What many of our students, teachers, and staff lacked in resources and privilege, we made up for with a commitment to excellence unique to Manual.
It’s also nice to know that Gladys White is still there, helping to enforce that commitment.

It was nice to see the community get together and fix up that school. What a shame that it will last till what A few weeks into the new school year. As there is an element that has no respect for the school. Grafitti will soon be present and drug pushers running in the halls.
Always nice to see that the community can be so easily duped into volunteering thier time and effort for something that the school system had the money to do but ws unwilling to pay for.

J-Loop's worst sin, is he violated the Voting Rights Act of 1965. In a manner that would make even Hitler blush, J-Loop commandeered the DPS elected school board. He violated both federal and state appropriation laws, when he used taxpayer funds (entry-level salary of $400K) to hire his white flunky, Michael Bennet as DPS sup. Bennet had no BFOQ's. To silence the Northeast Denver black lambs, who are my brothers and sisters, J-Loop illegally hired Happy Haynes ($90K) into a flunky job too.
In other words, J-Loop stole the sup's job from a black woman (had BFOQ's), and tossed the black community, Haynes instead. Additonal federal funds fraud, waste, and abuse by J-Loop, was the $40K he spent on his bogus national search, when he knew Bennet would be given the job. Cowering under their desks like a scene out of "Mandingo or Roots", were Patterson, Groff, Wedgeworth-less, Hancock?, Jones, T. Carroll, and Marshall.
I am amzed these cowards and Benedict Arnolds think the black community can give away a $400k job.

Please I beg; go get your med levels re-evaluated. There are new ones coming out every day. The efficacy of many of the newer ones is amazing and would do wonders for your cognition.
