Tom Tancredo’s amnesty-free bill
Re: Tancredo outlines his amnesty-free immigration proposal, by Chris Barge, July 11, 2007
Certainly not the majority that flooded their Senators’ offices with angry telephone calls, faxes and visits to defeat a bill that would have granted amnesty to the 20 million-plus illegals squatting in the United States. Mr. Tancredo is one of the few politicians who is in touch with the American people. He has consistently put Americans first. Kennedy, McCain and Bush have sold us out to big business interests that bemoan the loss of a cheap labor source. And Ken Salazar consistently votes in favor of the illegals and completely ignores his Colorado constituents.
The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition stated, “It is sad and tragic that Mr. Tancredo continues to play the politics of fear and hate, rejecting the values of family unity, civil liberties and diversity that are the cornerstone of our democracy.” I am one of the thousands of Americans who has been a victim of crimes committed by illegals. Why are our rights as American citizens swept aside, while illegals are judged by a separate set of rules and laws that pander to their “civil liberties and diversity?” Rules and laws that don’t hold them accountable for crimes an American citizen would be imprisoned for.
The Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition does not support immigrants, they support criminal trespassers. Illegals and the groups that support them blur the immigration issue by leaving out the key word, “illegal.” They use trigger words such as “fear”, “hate” and “racist” to blur the fact illegals entered the United States illegally and continue to break our laws to remain here. The majority of senators who opposed the Kennedy/McCain bill said it “lacked enforcement.” I don’t think that will be an issue with Mr. Tancredo’s bill. Thank you Tom!

Kudos Scott. Tancredo has been on target for over 8 years. Eisenhower proved we could round up illegals if we want to. However, Tancredo has the best plan: self-deportation. First, build the border fence. Then, dry up jobs, remove freebies (medical, education, food stamps, etc,) and illegals will go back where they came from.
Posted by Buff Driver on August 14, 2007 01:50 PMIf only Bush, McCain and the Democrats would come up with a bill similar to Tancredo Buff Driver, we Americans could once again live the "American Dream" and have our country back.
Now the dishonorable illegals children are eligible for in-state tuition. People with power in this state are as un -American as one can get!!! Vote em OUT when you can!!!
Posted by A on August 14, 2007 02:12 PMAnother GREAT article on ILLEGAL immigrant. My opinion exspressed perfectly.
Wait untill the next election and watch all of the leftys change there views on ILLEGALS. God- Bless Tom Tancredo, American workers candidate.
My uncle raised cattle in Nebraska for over 50 years, and if he were alive today he would say about illegal immigration:
First lock the fence then sort out the animals.
I have lived in Colorado for over 35 years and for 6 of those years Tom Tancredo was my US Congressman, now that I live on the western slope I'm stuck with John Salazar who only cares about illegals when they die on his ranch.
Posted by legal on August 14, 2007 02:21 PMHere's a chance for government to get this problem solved humanely.Illegals and their whitebread proxies would be well advised to get on board.Their intransigence may delay the solution, but will only make it far less humane. We have the illegals at better than ten to one.......
Posted by Jimminy on August 14, 2007 03:16 PMTancredo is an embarrassment. I am just glad he is a Republican Presidential candidate where he can embarrass the entire G.O.P.
At least he doesn't spend $400 on a haircut and vow to fight poverty on the same day. Of course, we all realize that once the pronouncer of all that is right or wrong - sean - speaks, the matter is settled and relegated to historical archives.
Still got your panties in a twist, eh sean.
Posted by on August 14, 2007 04:24 PMHey the cross-dressing blogger is back! Are you taking my advice on your five o,clock shadow? Because it is almost five, you should probably shave again or are those hormones finally kicking in?
Posted by Sean on August 14, 2007 04:31 PMI just love it when you speak with such forcefulness, Sean. But for my panties to be in a twist (which they're not) it would be fitting as contrary to your ASSumption, I'm not male.
What's interesting is when your panties get in one of those self-righteous twists when somebody dares to be contrary to your edicts.
Keep smiling, love, you'll eventually get something correct in your mundane politically correct life.
Posted by on August 14, 2007 04:42 PMSo I am guessing you just went ahead and got that surgery?

What a rapier wit you have! Such devastation achieved in such a dramatic comeback. No wonder there's an underlying chuckle when people respond to your posts.
As the old saying goes, Sean; it's been fun and it's been real toying with your small imagination; but it ain't been real fun. Adios, sean, you've been a gas (but beano helped).

Just a word of advice, you probably should not use Spanish with this crowd, you might get labeled a illegal immigrant sympathizer. You should use German, I am sure Tancredo supporters are much more comfortable mit der Sprache des Vaterland.
German? Nope-just plain old English.Worked fine when we dismembered Germany.Mexico would be a cakewalk.

Please take your head out of your rear end. Tom Tancredo and like-thinkers are the only hope for this country. Are you partial to lawbreakers who sneak into your country, steal from the legal citizens (health care, education, social services, identities, ETC.)? They laugh at our laws while they remain here illegally year after year AFTER YEAR. GOD BLESS TOM TANCREDO AND MAY HE KEEP FIGHTING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!
Jimminy, oh please dear poster do not use that discredited phrase "cakewalk".
While we all ponder a humane solution to this problem, well, some of us do , try to imagine an ER where a bunch of kind, caring people turn away an injured Latino man, woman or child.
How could that person ever remain in the medical profession?
Maybe we can put up guards to check citizenship for people entering ER`s so the docs and nurses won`t have to betray the Hippocratic oath they took.
Posted by Sharon B. on August 14, 2007 09:48 PMTancredo's "amnesty-free" rhetoric is a joke along with Mr. Sedei's claims that a "majority" of Americans back deportation. Get a life folks. It is never ever going to happen. These politicians are playing your racist fears like a violin. This is the exact kind of do-nothing rhetoric that Republicans perfected with the abortion issue: "make a big fuss so that the gullible and stupid will vote then do-nothing about the actual issue".
Anybody who thinks that a massive Department of Deportations will ever come into existence or accomplish the desires of our homegrown racists is living in fantasy land. These illegal immigrants are in this country for the long haul and no amount of "amnesty-free" BS is going to change that reality. The best we can do if divert money from the travesty in Iraq to protecting our own borders. Let's spend our tax dollars fixing our border system first but the do-nothing Tancredo worshipers can't figure that out.

Wiggle your ears while you have your head positioned as it apparently is and give yourself a prostate exam.
Posted by on August 15, 2007 08:56 AMTwist the issue around from ILLEGAL to racist. Stupidity in one of its highest forms. The ones who are pro-illegal ALWAYS play the race card.
Posted by c on August 15, 2007 10:58 AMof course mass deportation isnt going to happpen you moron.
but what can be done is this:
dry up any possibility to obtain a job here without valid documentation by revoking business licenses to those who employ illegals,
revoke any possibilty to educate children of illegals starting with k-12 .
remove any ability to seek government assisted medical care or welfare.
what will happen ? they will go back to the country of origin.

SIMPLE, SIMPLE, SIMPLE!!!! Why can't our leaders figure this out?????
Posted by c on August 15, 2007 11:29 AMYo,8:56-Wes' prostate(or anyone else's) is hardly relevant to the immigration issue. He is,however, just a little too pessimistic and defeatist about a solution to the uninvited guest worker program. At least a solution coming from government.I hope he's wrong.

Your ideas are useless Fresh unless you secure the border. Not one of your suggestions involved controlling our borders so that we don't have to wage an economic war on the poor in order to dissuade them from being exploited by the rich. If being amnesty-free means you don't support deportations then your petty attempts to make the poor poorer are doomed to fail you simpleton.
This is why you people are such do-nothings. You want a pro-government solution that requires massive government institutions to administer and has little or no chance of bringing about a plural and prosperous society. Since when did you start believing that big government is the solution to all your problems? Why can't you silly white boys support strengthening our borders as a first step in finding a solution to this issue. I guess that isn't punitive enough for you guys is it. You can't wait to get some licks in on these poor people. And then you stand around and are oh "so outraged" that anyone would consider your sorry lot a bunch of whining pro-government racists. "We're not racists just ask us. We'll tell you we're not. Trust us". Why should anyone trust such a bigoted attitudes.
If deportation is off the table then consider how big a negative incentive you would have to create to get someone to go back to a situation where their children are suffering from acute starvation. The immigration fanatics are irrational and delusional at the same time. We can't fix the problem until we shutdown our borders but you prefer to do nothing and complain about "them". What hollow concern.
Posted by Wes on August 15, 2007 04:15 PMWhere does the Mexican government come in on all of this? Is it our fault that their children are starving? Why do we have to be the savior for everyone who is too lazy to do anything to solve their problems? As long as we keep feeding, educating and keeping these folks healthy, letting them drive down our wages, why should Mexico do anything to help their people? As long as the money flows back over the border the Mexican government will be happy!

Keep flailing away dude. You point is totally corrupted by assuming that "these" people are too lazy to do anything to solve their problems. These people you talk about are the same people who do the work that fat lazy lily white Americans like you don't want to do. They are performing the most menial labor in our society and you are calling them lazy. The facts don't fit but the your racism is obvious.
What ignorant people like you don't realize is that Mexico is what the United States would be like with a permanent Republican majority. They have had over seventy years of the kind of political corruption that is going to be the hallmark of the Bush Administration. It is hard to change things when you have a Dick Cheney funneling all of the countries wealth into his pockets. That being said it is even more important to control our borders if the other side won't. Why do you do-nothing Tancredo worshipers oppose securing our borders? What the hell is wrong with you people that you don't want to tighten up security along the border and prevent illegal immigrants and terrorists from entering our country? All your talk is just irrational racist fantasies.
Posted by Wes on August 16, 2007 06:17 AMWes, what's up with the "fat lazy lily white Americans" shtick? Then you use the racist card. Who's the racist here?
We've been calling for the border to be secured and interior enforcement to be beefed up for some time now. Mass deportations are going to happen, we know that. But we can start deporting the criminal illegal aliens right away, as soon as they have served their time.
Posted by RU Serious on August 16, 2007 09:15 AMhey Wes, dude,
I meant the lazy Mexican Government, DUDE.
You sure do assume alot, don't you?
How do you know I'm lily white?
How do you know I'm not a proponent of securing our borders?
You're really angry, aren't you DUDE?
I mean it when I say that the Mexican government is lazy, waiting for the good ol' US to fix things for them.
Tancredo worshippers OPPOSE securing the borders? You don't read the papers much, do you? He's one of the biggest supporters of securing the borders.
Put your feet up and calm down.
Posted by c on August 16, 2007 10:54 AMOh, Wes,
Forgot to reply to your accusation that I'm a racist. Couldn't be further from the truth. I happen to be a fan of obeying the laws of this country and it upsets me when people, especially people who blatantly break our laws, don't.
How convenient, when someone makes a SENSIBLE comment on our ILLEGAL immigration problem, some nut flips it to be racist.
See it time and time again.
Posted by c on August 16, 2007 11:05 AMI happen to be a fan of obeying the laws of this country. . .
Posted by c on August 16, 2007 11:05 AM
I don't see how you can be fan of the Rule of Law c when you support George Bush and his criminal disregard for our Constitution.
I have seen time and again the racist immigration fanatics claim that they aren't racist they just want the laws obeyed. They become so angry when they are called out for focusing only on "those" people while ignoring all the other aspects of the issue. You can laugh it off all you want but as long as you are solely focused on getting rid of "them" you are a racist in deed and in fact.
Posted by Wes on August 16, 2007 12:02 PMWes,
By any chance are you hispanic, illegal??
Just wondering.
There you are assuming again. Did I say I support Bush?
I am simply stating that people like you blame EVERYTHING on Bush.
The fact remains that this government, LONG before Bush came into office, ignored enforcing the immigration laws of this country and we are where we are because of this disregard for enforcement. PERIOD.
RACE has nothing to do with it. It just so happens that the majority of lawbreakers are Hispanic. Just a fact.

Disregard the first post. The last paragraph was not clear and I attempted to correct it before it posted. Did not work.
In the last paragraph of the 2nd post I emphasized IMMIGRATION lawbreakers rather than just lawbreakers.
Posted by c on August 16, 2007 12:25 PMWes
In reading through all of the above posts you're the only only who appears to be a racist. Most everybody who presented reasonable explanations against illegal immigrants didn't mention anything about the race of the illegals being a factor. Only you labeled people racist when they didn't accept you defense of illegal immigrants. You accused them of being "...fat lazy lily white Americans...your talk is just irrational racist fantasies...Why can't you silly white boys..."
Illegal immigrants come in all varieties of color, including white. Which ones are you referring to when you call the other posters racist for being anti illegal immigrants?
"They are performing the most menial labor in our society and you are calling them lazy. The facts don't fit but the your racism is obvious."
You call people racist but dismiss any denial on their part as being phony. You sound similar to the poster "An American" who denigrates people he disagrees with in an effort to support his weak position.
It's been my observation in life that those who immediately jump to playing the racist card have emptied their quiver of intellectual arguments and are resorting to emotional insults in attempt to support their sagging position.
