15 illegals stopped by CSP
The Colorado State Patrol stopped a van with 15 people in it for a traffic issue. Then found out that they were in the U.S. illegally. When the ICE did not come to pick them up, they were released because the CSP stated that they had not done anything illegal. Then why were they stopped in the first place and I though that being in the U.S. illegal was against the law. Hummmm?
This letter has not been edited.
Why are they not held in jail? The feds won't pay for it. They don't want anything done unless we make them do it. I say let's make them do their jobs.
Posted by on September 6, 2007 02:27 PMWell Leroy, most likely they were stoped for a traffic offense. Most traffic offenses are not jailable. Secondary, detaining illegal aliens is a FEDERAL mandate, not enforceable by state or local law enforcement. We as citizens need to force the feds to do their jobs, and add personnel if needed.
Leroy, I just can't keep educating you like this. You either need to go back to school, or opena book from time to time.
Posted by on September 6, 2007 02:44 PMAnd when Leroy goes back to school make sure it is with white upper and middle class kids so he can learn something....
Posted by Justsayin' on September 6, 2007 02:48 PMIsn't it ironic though that local police will enforce federal drug laws, even though the "legalization" of marijuana in Denver by adults up to an ounce makes it not a crime in the city of Denver?
Posted by Dan2 on September 6, 2007 03:03 PMHey! Yea, what's up with that????
Posted by Justsayin' on September 6, 2007 03:17 PMdan II,dope is legal in Denver now,no wonder there is so many idiots on these post.
Posted by Keith on September 6, 2007 06:48 PMHey, Keith, did you notice The Kettle is black?
Posted by The Pot on September 6, 2007 09:02 PMThe real problem is that ICE dodged the issue by making an excuse that the jail available was inadequate. Next time just contact ICE and tell them that the illegals are in the jail and if there is something wrong they are free to come and get them. Time to make the feds do their job. Of course I would pay a tax increase to buy the bus tickets to the south end of Mexico. They like walking..let them walk through their country for a change.
Posted by momma y on September 6, 2007 10:10 PMAbolish the Fed Immigration. Let the locals bust them and use the money to ship them home.
Posted by on September 6, 2007 11:25 PMBy the way, Denver calls Home Rule when they want to ban guns, but defers to the state and feds on pot. It's called hipocrisy. That way you can have it any way you want.
Posted by clyde on September 6, 2007 11:28 PMThe people voted for the pot initiative, not the elites, so of course it can't be left to stand.
Posted by clyde on September 6, 2007 11:30 PMMaybe the immigration police are all out enforcing the pot laws.
Posted by on September 6, 2007 11:35 PMDan2....Denver enforces state law, not federal...which officers take an oath to do. If you want to make a change, try to change state law. Tvert and his band of hooped up morons did nothing to change pot laws in Denver. And Keith, you are just wrong, pot is NOT legal in Denver, or anywhere else in the state for that matter. You need to shut up before some moron believes your drivel and gets arrested.
Posted by on September 7, 2007 07:05 AMSorry,I don't live in Denver.I thought DanII was telling the truth.I fell for a lir, just like all the idiots use liberals lies on these post.Like drew,og,mike d.charles b.sharon b. and of course the anti-keith.
Posted by Keith on September 7, 2007 08:39 AMI love the Broncos, but hate the government of Denver & would never live there
Posted by on September 7, 2007 10:17 AMThe possession of up to an ounce of marijuana is legal in the city of Denver, under Denver city code.
I was being "ironical"

Yo Leroy: Hang in. It is from query that I learn so much from this column, e.g. Redneck and Grouch contributes so much as does Sharon and the list of contributors is great. I am being educated beyond my years at Metro and D.U Law School. Yo Leroy: I heard this on talk radio in which the Patrolman held them for two hours and had to let them proceed: Call it another Bush fiasco. The law is on the books and he won't implement the law preferring to create his own law as is typical of an imperial president, i.e. a president seeking more power than constitutionally granted.
As an Independent I listen to both: Liberal and Conservative talk radio: Keith, I recommend you mimic my M.O.
* Keith: Revisit your sentence and correct your grammar. It is getting tougher and tougher to duel to the death those that want you dead.

Posted by Justsayin' on September 7, 2007 06:03 PMOf course, Just sayin, you dumb ass: Grimes attempts a little jest; you are so f ~~~ing ignorant it escapes you. Don't you get it: Keith is just an ignorant dude like you but evidenced by his atrocious grammar. I read between the lines and recognize that Grimes is attempting to help Keith. You appear to marshal words one in front of the other grammatically correct whereas Keith is incapable of such a feat. Your good grammar in a short sentence does not expel your ignorance.
Posted by jvb on September 8, 2007 10:22 AMYou are all such fools, trying to one-up each other every time you see a misspelled word.Grow up ,this forum is a big joke ...One thing is very evident though, most of you really think you are better than the other........
