Democrat campaign finance scandals
In view of the recent Democrat campaign-finance scandals, the focus appears to be on New York businessman, Norman Hsu, and his railroad excursion to Colorado. Yet, we hear little, if anything, regarding an FBI investigation of the Democrat contributions. If it is true that campaign finance laws were broken, the American people have a right to know about it. Political candidates are not inviolable and should be held fully accountable for financial wrongdoing, especially when such candidates are running for President of the United States. We hope the Congress will demand such a probe.
This letter has not been edited.
To the story headline writer: That should read "Democratic Campaign..." or "Democrat [sic] Campaign..." I would hope that the professional editors who run this site have a better command of grammatically correct English than the posters do.

Is that a Royal We there, Stuckey?
Posted by on September 30, 2007 04:10 PMDemocrats and the liberally dominated media demand investigations only when Republicans are involved.
The fact is that two leading Presidential candidates are guilty of taking dirty money, and lots of it.
The story broke over a month ago.
To this day the MSM have given Hillary and Obama a pass and have tried to misdirect and shift the story to Hsu.
This isn't the first time either.

Where are the investigative reporters and MSM interviews asking the hardball questions?
Nowhere to be found if the scandal involves Dems,as it is deemed not newsworthy.

Posted by Liam on September 30, 2007 05:41 PMNorman Hsu was a FUGITIVE for over 15 years and was raising money for the Clintons.
Posted by tj on September 30, 2007 06:05 PMWhen are you people ever going to learn, only the Republicans are guilty of being dishonest and corrupt. The Democrats are simply victims that have been deceived by other dishonest and corrupt people. At least that is how the corrupt liberal media sees it.
The truth of the matter is, if your position in this world is as a politician, you are dishonest and corrupt. Republicans and Democrats alike.
Posted by jgd777 on September 30, 2007 07:07 PMOnly Republicans can be guilty of sexual misconduct because it is they who decry specific sexual behavior as wrong. If you think it is wrong you are the only ones who can be guilty of it.
Only Republicans can be guilty of campaign finance fraud because they state that certain fundraising laws are to be obeyed. They are the only ones who think it is wrong so they are the only ones who can be guilty of it.
Democrats believe any consensual sexual acts are permitted. They cannot be guilty of illicit sexual acts.
Democrats believe any funds contributed to their campaigns are to create a better society and the greater good. The greater good is more important than silly laws. They cannot be guilty of campaign finance violations because any Democratic political victory is for the greater good which is more important than laws.

The conservatively dominated has yet to report on this little Republic scandal.
"You've heard of Norman Hsu -- why not Robert Lichfield?
As of 11 a.m. today (Friday), a Nexis search for "Norman Hsu AND Clinton" returns 1,252 hits. The nation's leading news organizations provide a substantial portion of those results (The actual number of news reports by those organizations, particularly the television outlets, is certainly higher than the Nexis results indicate.) To date, 137 different newspapers have written about Hsu and Clinton in a total of 591 articles, according to Nexis, and 132 broadcast and cable news transcripts mention Hsu and Clinton. By contrast, a Nexis search for "Alan Fabian AND Romney" yields a total of only 21 hits. Given the disparate media coverage of Norman Hsu and Alan Fabian, you probably know who Hsu is. But by now, you're probably wondering who Alan Fabian is."

Posted by GK on October 1, 2007 05:56 AMNice try GK. Hsu and fabian are not alike....
Hsu was donating his ill gotten booty to campaigns to influence elections and to subvert the campaign finance reforms.
Fabian was taking his ill gotten booty and spending it on himself. He just happened to be working for Mitt.
Fabian was just a crook.... Hsu was another in a long line of crooks who were sending money to the Hildabeast et al. That is the difference.
What is it with the Chinese and the Clintons? They seem to be financed by the Chinese government. Too bad most of them have skipped the country.

I didn't say they were alike. I'm pointing out the lack of media coverage about Fabian.
BTW Fabian did donate money to Romney.
Posted by GK on October 1, 2007 08:33 AMGK - From what I've read, Fabians crimes were not at all connected to Romney's campaign and were committed prior to Mitt's decision to run for pres.

With all due respect, your true colors as a partisan hack always show through your "independent minded" facade when you post such utter bullsh*t as your post above.
