Ed Stein’s cartoons
Your latest malicious, unamerican “cartoon” by Ed Stein is so mendacious and untrue that it almost spurred me to come down and picket your liberal, bleeding heart newspaper, along with many friends who agree with me. You can only print what you consider is good, and refuse to print differing opinions. You are a liberal rag that is the voice of unamerican, constitutional hating, Bush hating idiots. I grant you that Bush has made mistakes, but to protray him as standing by a racking machine is pure, vile garbage. The only reason you can print these things is because hundreds of thousands of patriotic americans have died for your right to do so. To say I am angry, furious and would like to see you go out of business is the mildest thing I can say, because my freedom of speech is call either racist, politically incorrect or some other euphenism you don’t like. Do you know that hundreds of thousands of Americans agree with me? Or don’t you even care because we don’t have a choice here in Denver of reading either your two liberal rags or have no newspaper at all! Well, let me be racist and politcally incorrect for a moment. Your paper is peopled with mostly liberal, anti-american, anti-constitution idiots who can’t do anything but whine and pule about anything and everything they don’t like or approve of. In a letter a week ago I warned your readers that Barack Obama was raised, brainwashed and is a Muslim! His hatreds, prejudices, and opinions were formed in childhood and anyone who has studied history knows that this lasts a lifetime. He will change this country and you and your cohorts, such as Ed Stein will applaud.
Congratulations on becoming a malicious, vicious, and vile voice for the cowards and aliens in this country who want to tear down our democracy that is bobbing in the blood of brave Americans who believe in their country. You are right——-with you pushing them down as they come up for breath, you are destroying our freedoms. Congratulations!
This letter has not been edited.
Margaret,
I understand and sympathize with what you are saying, but political cartoons are exaggerations that are meant to shock. We have enough limits on our freedom of expression. I'm much more concerned when I listen to one sided tax supported NPR.

Posted by on September 6, 2007 02:03 PMMargaret/Peggy-
Get over it, you america hater. If you hate the first amendment so much, I'd recommend moving to Saudi Arabia.
BTW- "hundreds of thousands of americans" don't agree with you. More like hundred of americans.
What is it with these damn conservative crybabies anyways? Bunch 'a whiners.
Posted by Tbone on September 6, 2007 02:45 PMMaragaret needs a saliva test. What's not to hate about this administration?
Posted by sly on September 6, 2007 02:45 PMMarge,
You tout freedom of opinion and expression, you tout protecting the constitution, but only if they agree with you. If the opinion is not of your liking it is liberal hate and bleeding heart (I've never understood that caring for other people and being a bleeding heart is bad) Bush haters. Many people showed that your last letter regarding Obama was propoganda and untrue, yet you still believe it. Now take a zanax and relax....
Peggy, you should try wiping the slobber off of your keyboard and maybe you won't make so many mistakes.
Posted by It's True on September 6, 2007 03:08 PMIs this woman for real? Do people edge over on the sidewalk when she walks by?
However, is it possible to get Stein to print one more cartoon that will send her over the edge so she does picket the paper?
That I really want to see. `Ol Margaret, in her sup-hose and tennis shoes, and frumpy house dress, carrying a picket sign.
i will even make the sigh for her.
Posted by Sharon B. on September 6, 2007 03:31 PMMargaret: an American hero, sticking up for the stupidest 29% in the country. Keep fighting the good fight, Margie! You're doing your side proud!
Posted by Grog on September 6, 2007 03:44 PMMargaret, AMEN sister!!!
Posted by on September 6, 2007 03:44 PMMargaret,
Um, perhaps you should stick to Mallard Filmore or Dilbert or something.
Posted by Cluefull on September 6, 2007 04:02 PMI think Margaret needs some serious medication. Please re-read her letter for content and then think about how scary she sounds. Honestly, who makes up facts about another person and then believes them to be true? Only people whose grasp of reality is questionable at best.
My advice to Margaret, America is about freedom of choice, if you don't like the content of a specific newspaper then find one that is more to your liking and read that one instead. There are hundreds of newspapers nationwide that share your viewpoints and support your radical, unrealistic ideas.
Posted by Scary on September 6, 2007 04:09 PMDidn't the letter writer recently have a letter published saying that Barack Obama was a "radical muslim" out to destroy our Country?
Say hello to the hinterlands RNC!
Posted by rick on September 6, 2007 10:07 PMAnd this is the Republican base. Where is Sedalia, I want to make sure I never go there. Is it out on those cold, windy plains where people go slowly mad from isolation ?
Posted by Sharon B. on September 6, 2007 10:12 PMSedalia is just a couple miles south of Highlands Ranch. Right there in your backyard.
Posted by on September 6, 2007 11:22 PMOh My Gawd, as Paris would say. And I insulted all the plains towns for nothing.
Posted by Sharon B. on September 6, 2007 11:52 PMI have been trying to stay out of the crazy anti-muslim fray and the name calling-b.s. that happens so frequently here, but, as I was reading this letter, I couldn't help but think that she (?) needs some kind of help. Her statement: "In a letter a week ago, I warned your readers..." is indicative of a serious mental problem. Who is she to 'warn' anyone about anything? I am sooooo completely tempted to make disparaging remarks about her, but suffice it to say that this woman (if, in fact, it is a woman) is a bit unstable.
Just smile at the nice lady and back away slowly children.
Posted by Sheila on September 7, 2007 07:38 AMWhy would we elect Osama? He planned the attack on 9/11. Oh, what you say? ..He is Obama?....Never Mind
Posted by Emily Latella on September 7, 2007 07:50 AMThis is exactly how the noise machine is supposed to work.
Insight publishes a false story about Obama attending a madrassa.
The story is picked up by Fox.
It is shouted to the world by Rush and other radio hosts.
The story is found to be false.
Fox whispers a correction.
Rush and the other radio hosts ignore the correction and continue to shout the original story although it is false.
Margret (and others) listens to Rush but don't bother to read the New York Times or Wall Street Journal (news section not opinion pages) for that matter.
Those who are already prone to paranoia believe that Obama is really a sleeper agent and there is a vast left wing conspiracy.
Since the facts on the subject are presented by the Left Wing Media(tm) they are not to be believed.
Rinse and repeat.
Posted by Colorado Dave on September 7, 2007 08:36 AMRemember things in Iraq will turn out just fine if only we clap louder.
Posted by Colorado Dave on September 7, 2007 08:39 AMThe reason that newspapers are becoming irrelevant is the internet. I stopped buying newspapers years ago. I'd rather have forests than piles of newsprint. I also like to get several different takes on any given story. Hopefully I can find all 3 sides, the original story, the opposing story, and the truth.
If you don't like what a paper publishes, read other newspapers online. Broaden your horizons Margaret. But do not try to destroy the Bill of Rights because some meaningless cartoon offends you. You sound too much like a progressive college professor or radical Muslim from C.A.I.R. when you do that.
Margaret Fox:
Brian Stuckey's transvestite alter ego?
not that I have a beef with transvestites, mind you....
Posted by Grim Reefer on September 7, 2007 02:30 PMBrain Stuckey, Margaret Fox, An American, Keith, et al...
One Nation
One Party
One Religion
does that about sum it up?
According to intellius.com, brian and margaret are two, distinctly different people. Not that that proves anything. But, i don't think they are each other's alter-egos in the real sense.
I wish they were. The thought that there is more than one person out there with these strange ideas is a bit uncomfortable.
Posted by an internet slueth on September 7, 2007 02:58 PMI looked her up on that site, and she is 67 so maybe she won`t be picketing any time soon.
Posted by Sharon B. on September 7, 2007 07:12 PMMs. Fox is more mentally ill than I realized.
