Mike Littwin: hi, I enjoy your journalism columns & usually agree with you. However, I am most disturbed as it appears to me that the Media is choosing our next President. We read endlessly about Clinton & Obama, some about Edwards, & little about other perhaps more worthy candidates. I sincerely hope you are planning a spread of equal size & enthusiasm about our neighbor, NM Governor Bill Richardson, who is beyond doubt the most qualified candidate running. Mr. Richardson has been [MY]Congressional Representative, a diplomat during Clinton years in negotiating release of many hostages from so-called enemy lands which has won him world-wide respect and name recognition, UN ambassador, Sec’y of Energy, and most recently, NM governor. As governor, NM has come from the depths of being in the 40s—along with CO—in social indicators for quality of life to the teens [while CO languishes still in 40s].
He has plans for Health Care, retreat from Iraq, & improving quality of life for Americans. oh, did I mention he has Mexican genes? Yes, Bill Richardson is truely the Man for these Times when the world hates us & we need a diplomat for President, not a rogue.
Please acknowledge Bill Richardson’s achievements in an article of equal space as you’ve given Clinton & Obama. thanks!

Gee Kathy, do you realize that Littwin is billed by the RMN as a NEWS columnist?

I was with you up until you named another dem,Richardson as not getting fair coverage.

Maybe you should be more concerned with Mike giving balanced, equal time to ANY Conservative candidate and not just another dem.

How about any candidate in general - regardless of party? That will never happen though as they've already crowned Hillary as the President.

Not so fast on Richardson. When I was being drafted (NAM), Richardson was spouting he was drafted by the Oakland A's (MLB). No one can find any record of him being drafted as a professional athlete. Liar? He is seems to be of the Mitt (deer-hunter) persuasion. Mitt like Bush, was "daddy deferred" from the NAM. I would love to know Richardson's real whereabouts, or sanctuary during NAM. It is more than strange, McCain and Hunter, on both sides of the '08' "prez" candidate aisle, are they only baby-boomers that served in Vietnam.

Richardson recently tore his skivvies with me, when he "decided" kids of criminal illegal Mexicans could attend UNM. When I was growing up in SC/NC, I paid taxes, however, because of the skin I'm in, I was denied admission to the University of North Carolina and enlistment in the NC National Guard. Also as a child, I saw fellow blacks die at the entrances of hospital emergency rooms, just they were black and poor.

NO MAS PROGRESS! Today I pay for illegals kids to be educated at UNM, CU, Metro State College, etc. I'm also now paying the hospital medical bills for illegals, that historically denied medical treatment to blacks. The US Congress gave USDOL Secy. Chao the authority for determining how federal funds (student loans, research grants, etc.) would be disbursed to "foreign nationals", not Ritter, Skaggs, Jordan, or Richardson.

My younger brother was drafted by the Detroit Tigers (MLB), however, this draft was superceded by the military draft. During my 3rd deployment to Vietnam, he (USMC machine gunner) was shot in the face during a NAM fire fight. Today he is Agent Orange infected, PTSD, diabetic, and need his legs amputated. I just don't like GOP Dads, NASCAR Dads, or baby-boomer draft-dodgers.

So are you, 40acres. Blind to whining about how unfair life is to you, how you not getting your share of the free government cheese, how than has screwed you all your life, how...

At least you left of false statistics for the most part in this post.
