Question for the right
I have to ask conservatives — which is really more indecent: Americans who believe they are being lied to by the top U.S. general in Iraq, expressing that belief in no uncertain terms, and providing substantiation for their assertions on a Web site (MoveOn.org), or that same general sending ours kids out every day to kill and be killed, all the while uncertain whether all that killing is making America safer?
I dare say too many conservatives will have no problem with the latter, while coming apart at the seams over the former.

But you just want to make it a non issue by saying everything is the same and we should treat it that way.
The death penalty is such a primitive view of an eye for an eye, which has been shown time and time again for it's stupidity. To think that it somehow justifies whatever crime they did is laughable.
They live better now than they did when they were drug out of their caves. The all of our troops are volunteers that are in iraq and Afghanistan and are right wing Americans as is the majority of the entire Armed Forces of this Nation.
As a Vietnam Veteran we detest the left and the Democratic party and what it has evolved into these past 35 years and what you stand for as socialists and supporters of big goverment, moochers, perverts, and every un- American thing that comes down the pike.
From my gereration to these brave boys fighting in Iraq we didn't make these sacrifices for your agendas.

Whenever someone disagrees with say, homesexual marriages, they are labeled a "homophobe."

I prefer to think of people in favor of immediate withdrawal from Iraq as "misinformed" rather than traitor or America hater.

You're right KW, many on the far far left of the spectrum hold the same water. But I would say that conservatives tend to hold onto that just a tad more than anybody else.
I think that conservatives have a great idea of how things should be done, and I think that kind of thinking has helped hold this country together over our history. But so has every other form of thinking.
When people are against gay marriage, they more often than not, use the arguement that it will ruin marriages and families. But this is an obvious attempt to cover up what they themselves are hiding.
Global warming is a complex issue that cannot be confirmed due to 20 years of research. And those that call anybody a denier just because they need more facts to believe it are just as bad.
That's part of the problem, nobody has called for the complete and total withdraw from the field, except for the people who think they know what the other side of the aisle is thinking. I would simply prefer that our forces actually go after terrorists instead of making them. But that's me.

Even the oil executives are claiming that there is no reason why a barrel of sweet crude is over $80 a barrel. Remember, a barrel of crude was only between $10-$20 8 years ago. An yet, you will never hear a single complaint from a conservative on the price of gas. Just because George W. is not worried.
But you have to give some credit to a conservative on their pluck. They will happily support this illegal war based on lies. Just as long as they are allowed to sit on their fat asses here. So what if our troops are mostly from the poor working class. The conservatives are too busy fighting online playing HALO 3. You will never see these conservatives who support the war in Iraq actually fight in it. They are all talk and no balls. You know, gay men have more balls than the average conservative. Gay men are not afraid to be gay no matter how much hate is thrown at them. A conservative: nope. No Balls. No Brain.
They will never confront the issue on why we pulled out the bulk of our troops in Afganistan. Remember: the Taliban and Bin Laden are in Afganistan. If the conservatives are true patriots as they claim. They should all enlist go to AFGANISTAN and kill BIN LADEN. (They will also benefit from losing their fat asses during basic training.)
But you know, George W. doesn't really think about Bin Laden or Afganistan so the mindless drones don't either.
And as for Global Warming: don't worry about it. The chances are, the human race will kill itself way before we all freeze to death. With world leaders like George W., he will bring the apacalypse soon enough. Especially with his people puppets in tow. World War III, here we come!
It's a good thing that conservatives are "Gun Loving" and "God Fearing". We are going need those people when God brings down the S#*%storm. They'll have all the guns to shoot Him with.

I've been saying all any of us have for sources are the news networks, which are notoriously unreliable, biased, incomplete, and inaccurate.
I doubt any of us will know the complete truth. So it's a shame there are so many gullible folks who take the news reports as gospel and think they have a clue about what's going on.
