and here is the fun part.... the money goes into the general fund, then they "Claim that all the money goes into education etc, but if you look, it does not. They just reduce the amount from other sources, claim that all the 23 money goes into it and uses the excess for their pet projects... Neat, no?

Romer raised the gas tax in Colorado to the highest in the nation at that time, with the reason being our roadis were in terrible shape and needed to be repaired then spend the whole bundel on his buddies to come up with a plan to rebuild the state's highway system....but there was no money left so he raised the tax again and now 15+ years later we still have some of the worst roads in the nation. I say it time to do what President George Washington suggested, never pay politician or they will become the most corrupted folks in the nation. I cannot figure why this state pays our state legislators $33,000 for the 110 days they're in office. And have to tried to get in touch with your state legislator in the off season...hahahaha

We have to pay for all the medical care that the Dems want to furnish the illegals you know! If you want the government to run health care you must love how they run the DMV's in this country right? The Dems will see to it that there will no longer be a middle class but only poor and rich because they feel the need to redistribute wealth you know, but only as long as they can remain rich.

Referendum C was supposed to give the state $500 million over a five year period. Yet Bill Owens had the state account for funds going to illegals before he left office – and gee, the guesstimates ranged from $500 million to almost double that annually to provide services to the illegals and their families.
California and Arizona went through the same scenario – raise taxes and blame it on everything BUT the illegals. Until it’s too apparent to hide. Withhold funding and services to illegals; dump that money back into the state and we’ll have the best roads and school system in the country.
