I heard that Sen. Edward Kennedy recently underwent surgery for a blockage in his carotid artery that supplies blood to the
brain. I wish him well, but this explains a lot.

Kennedy's medical procedure was in doubt until a swizzle-stick with enough volume capacity required to relieve the blockag--the diameter of the Alaskan pipeline--was located.
