Catholic hierarchy embraces illegality
The other day I went to our local Polish priest in our Catholic church to discuss some issues.
I was astonished to learn that:
1. He fully supports illegal immigrants and that U.S. law is unjust.
2. The Denver Catholic archbishop fully supports him in this.
3. Since I wrote a previous letter to the editor in which I voiced my opposition to this, I was not welcomed back into this Catholic church.
Needless to say, I was shocked at his and the Catholic stance on these issues. I reminded him (and Archbishop Charles Chaput) to read Romans 13: 1-3 where St. Paul says to obey the laws of the land.
Anytime someone speaks out or questions the Catholic stance on this issue, those who do so are ostracized. The church always wants to “hush” people (or problems) up. I will never contribute another dollar or my time to the Catholic Church as long as they maintain this idiotic condoning of lawbreaking!

Posted by on October 16, 2007 01:43 AMThe Catholic church has an adgenda that is antiAmerican.Been that way since WWII, and the defeat of Mussilini. The church is so corrupt with its suppresion of knowledge and the hidden books of the bible, untold fortunes locked away in the vaults beneath the vadican, and religious items hidden away. Why would any one expect the church to obey laws. For centurys the church has deemed itself to be above any law.

Posted by on October 16, 2007 06:18 AMThe Catholic Church supports criminal illegal Mexicans, because they pimp and exploit these serfs as a revenue stream, to off-set their financial losses incurred in these priests rape cases. The Mexican govt is guilty of the same thing. US Sen. Shamnesty Salazar is the captain of the good-ship SS Amnesty and the Congressional Black Caucus-cbc-comical blacks in congress, are Shamnesty's 1st-mates. A crew of happy Negroes.
Mormons have their cash-cows too. Clinton stripped us black folks from the welfare rolls, however, he left Mexicans (legal/illegal) and Mormons on this cash-cow. Bush created his own faith based initiative (cash-cow) for Mormons and Mitt. It is called the Fitzsimons redevelopment project. Bush decided that black disabled Vietnam veterans federal employment and contracting preferences, would be nullified or vaporized.
Ed Tauer (Chairman, Fitz), BoPeep, Billie Mae Owens, Forest Cason (CFO), and Dennis Brimhall (CEO UCH and UCDHSC), conspired and "decided", all of the jobs and contracts in this project would be given to construction company owners who are/was LDS memebrs. In some circles this activiity is called federal funds fraud, waste, and abuse, coupled with RICO violations. Is Tauer LDS, or is he on LSD?
Brimhall retired from UCH/UCDHSC. The Moron Church, SLC, UT, rewarded his Brimhall for his fraud, by appointing him as their new Director, International Mormon Missions. The LDS, Brimhall, and Tauer, bought Cason (black) some rims for his SUV. It isn't known if Cason was in the Mormon Church, when they declared blacks as "devils". I have some real problems with Cason, he may have diverted federal dollars (blood-loot) earmarked for black disabled Vietnam veterans, to the Mitt's campaign warchest. I just love all of the racist draft dodging "beeves". They all should be deployed to SuperMax to be married.

It is most religions that support illegals not just the Catholics. Look at the church in Chicago that let that woman and her son literally live there for months. That was not Catholic. I think that any church that supports illegals should have to pay taxes if they don't support the the laws of the land.

Posted by on October 16, 2007 01:53 PMMr. Cipolla ,
Mr. Cipolla,
You will be interested to learn that there was a popular Catholic writer named John Ryan who advocated government enactment of pro-union legislation, steep taxes on wealth, and stringent regulations of business that were adopted by FDR earning the priest the sobriquets of "the Right Reverend New Dealer."
So you see that the adoption of leftist political positions by the Clergy is nothing new.
The Vatican was located in the south of France during Napoleon’s rule and the Pope at that time was giving the Emperor all sorts of problems.
Napoleon resolved to attack the Vatican, assassinate the Pope and raze all the buildings. He called in a Catholic minister to ask him of his opinion of his plan to save France.
The minister told Napoleon: "Yes, you can send in the army, assassinate the Pope and burn all the buildings to the ground, but you cannot destroy the Church. If the Clergy has been unable to destroy the Church in all these centuries, there is no way that you, laymen, can have that authority."
As a political conservative I quite often find myself at loggerheads with the Archbishops temporal decisions and we correspond frequently in regard to political issues. I can tell you that he always responds promptly and answers my complaints in a Christian spirit.
The Church is not the Clergy. The Church is Christ's Body founded as necessary by God through Christ. You and I are a part of something much greater the ourselves. The priests are men who are committed to be pastors of the people in the strict sense of service. The priesthood in instituted for the good of men and the communion of the Church.
And you have the arrogance to take them to task because they disagree with your political views.
You need to return to that Church and ask that Polish priest to forgive you for the disharmony you bring to the community with your foolishness.
You will find yourself received by a man that is concerned with your salvation, how you will spend eternity then with how you will spend your money and time.
The American Catholic Church has experienced a steady decline of parishioners for more than three decades. It is attempting to offset the declining numbers by infusing the church with illegal immigrants. The only problem with this plan is that it is increasing the number of Catholics fleeing the church.
The Catholic Church is corrupt and has never fully atoned for the atrocities committed by their pedophile priests. The church was complicit in the crimes by hiding the truth...what else would you expect from an institution with such low moral values.
The "jew" baby morphed into a Christian anti-Semitic god never intended a church because he said (i.e. his fan club said) that he would return within a generation cited many times in the NT. (JC never reduced to print a single word, just like Muhammad didn't but his fan club 21 years after his death did.)
Note: I've sent out six checks; Sharon's is in the mail. Too bad the censor won't acknowledge that dictionary.com gives the same definition to mf and wretch: 1. a mean, despicable, or vicious person, which is what Christians call themselves in the song Amazing Grace: "wretch."
Deicide Corner: Which is absurd? Joshua stops the sun so he can slaughter more of his and god’s enemies; a fish swallows Jonah who gives god the birdie; Mitt Romney’s magical underwear; an ark in which Noah didn’t swat those pesky flies and he brings termites unto a wooden ship; prayers for peace which have never brought peace.

Go to dictionary.com and click in "wretch" (what Christians call themselves) and you will find that mf and wretch mean the same thing: despicable, evil, et al. I've always been loathe to say "mf;" however, I must accept the word does not mean what I thought it meant and must now use it without compunction to avoid the snide remark of purist; however, I will rebel against a double negative e.g. "irregardless." Let us enter an imprecatory prayer that mf Allah rain down fire and brimstone on every Catholic Church and the Vatican and continue to Temples and edifices built to a monster.

Cipolla says: "Romans 13: 1-3 where St. Paul says to obey the laws of the land," not aware of preposterous Paul with his Allah-like sentiment that women are just fields for the man to come unto when he pleases. PP was despised by the Gnostic gospels: Mt. Mk. Lk. and even John the interloper the only one to say JC carried his cross was on their s__t list.
It augments my happy camper status with clock in of a civil response as with JJ who is not aware that "nothing fails like prayer," along with faith, hope, wish, luck, and sin which do not exist in nature but the credulous believe through faith that feeding their pregnant cat yarn will result in emerging kittens wearing sweaters with JJ petitioning on his knees for red and blue.
D.C. Ignorant John: "I would probably have to say that, yes, the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation, but I say that again in the broadest sense. The lady that holds her lamp beside the golden door doesn't say, 'I only welcome Christians.' We welcome the poor, the tired, the huddled masses. But when they come here, they know they are in a nation founded on Christian principles." Republican presidential contender Sen. John McCain saying the war in Iraq was lost in 2003 which allays the ignorance mentioned.
Posted by Deicide on October 17, 2007 11:58 AMThe Catholic Church has become a joke. A lot of us who grew up in the church, now that we have become adults, see them for what they really are, hypocrites.
We were made to believe that they were the only true church, we were not allowed to enter another church. We were told not to play with kids from the public schools (my brother and neighborhood friends went there!) We had a list of movies we couldn't see in the back of the church, even if our parents had no objection, we were forbidden to play with the opposite sex at recess in grade school. No mixed parties in the 8th grade with threats of not graduating into high school if we attended. NO IMPURE THOUGHTS - you will go to hell. My list could go on and on.
Then there's the church and the rules they don't have to obey. Pedophile priests and the lives they have ruined--it's OK to hide that. Priests having long sexual relationshipswhen they have taken a vow of celibacy, they can hide that. Aiding ILLEGALS, helping them to find jobs and shelter, they can have total disregard for the immigration laws of this country and they get away with that. Tax exempt, what a slap in the face to the rest of us. Laugh at our immigration laws because they don't agree with them and they don't have to pay taxes. They should be punished along with the employers who hire illegals.
Patrick Cippola, you should feel freedom now that that sham of a church has let you go. I stopped going years ago when I couldn't stand hearing of another case of child molestation covered up by those crooks who run it. My heart ached when I read of kids who committed suicide because their PARENTS wouldn't believe them because they were so sucked into that religion. They had no one to turn to so they ended their lives.
The Catholic church, the church that makes rules but does not have to obey them.
Posted by c on October 17, 2007 09:32 PMThe Catholic church is a sick and malevolent institution, so JJ should fit in fine.
Posted by on October 17, 2007 11:04 PMJJ - You are so far off base it makes me wonder if you have been brain washed or merely did not read Patrick Cipolla's letter clearly enough. THAT Priest, who you think will be interested in his salvation, is more concerned with the ILLEGALS - he would welcome them into the Church before he would welcome someone with an opposing view. This Priest is supposed to be a Man of God, one we can turn to for spiritual health, not someone who will judge for personal reasons. The Priest was out of line and Mr Cipolla is justifiably upset. He has not brought disharmony to the community, only truth, which obviously supporters of this priest find distasteful. Forgiveness is not needed from this priest, GOD alone knows what is in Patrick's heart. If anyone is in need of forgiveness it is YOU for judging this man with out merit. It is no wonder you used the word arrogant, you seem to possess great understanding of the word. Good day.
Posted by Rebecca on October 18, 2007 10:00 AMCipolla is out of line; Satan waits for him; Cip will no longer tithe; Cip needs to go to the pedophile priest and beg to be brought into the good graces. I err in favor of the children in that all priests (clergy) are pedophiles. Cip is foolish whereas the "mf" James Jones aka "Wretch" meaning "1. a mean, despicable, or vicious person, which is what Christians call themselves in the song Amazing Grace: "wretch,"" is heaven bound so he can lounge at the feet (must have very big feet) of Jesus Christ aka Jehovah since there is only one biblical god. i just can't abide any human being, ignorant or intelligent believing in a one true god created when the first knave met the first fool and recycled ever since. You "mf''s" create a dangerous world with that "mf" W. Bush listening to the voice of Jesus Christ telling him to attack Iraq. I have to chill out, folks and mf's.
Rebecca,
Whatever wrongs Mr. Cipolla thinks he has suffered, the appropriate response is not to write a letter to the editor of the RMN denouncing his Pastor.
God alone may know what is in Mr. Cipolla's heart but I know what's in his letter. He wrongs not just the Polish Priest, but also the entire Catholic community (which includes the Clergy) with his petulance.
But the greatest harm he does is to himself. That is why he needs to go see the Polish Priest and seek forgivenss.
The only possible consequence of Mr. Cipolla's actions here is to do more harm.
Mr. Cipolla needs to join the Anglican Catholic church, that way he gets all the good stuff and not so much to make him mad.
The joke is on the Catholic church since surveys of illegals from Latin America show that once the people get here, they go to church less.
The reason? They have more to do here, and life is not in some little village centered around the church.
Not only that but they have smaller families. Yes, American culture works as birth control.
Where 7 or 8 kids or more is normal back home, here they have found ways to have only 3 or 4.
Hurray for liberation.

James,
I am failing to see how enlightening the entire community as to the truth of what is going on in the church is in any way "harming the Polish Priest". Are you suggesting he keep quiet about what he has learned, much like we Catholics used to ask the alter boys to keep quiet when they had been "wronged"? I am sure you are not asking that we take that archaic approach to resolve any situation. He DID try to sit down with the priest and when that had no good resolution he shared, with his brother and sisters in Christ, the truth that the priest had set before him. I am really perplexed as to how YOU regard yourself SO highly that YOU can deem his response inappropriate?
If Mr Cipolla needs to seek forgiveness for anything in his life, GOD can grant that, he is not in need of forgiveness from a priest who does not want him in his parish.
It is disappointing that you saw his letter as a man intending to do harm, when I saw it as a human reaching out to enlighten others of a potentially harmful situation. Then again there was a time Jesus and HIS apostle's were thought of as bringing a "harmful" message too...
