His perch on the powerful House Armed Services Committee and his unequivocal opposition to the war from the beginning provide Mr. Udall with rare credibility to broker a bi-partisan deal that quickly ends the war.

And It sounds good to me on the surface. What happens though when the insurgents return and start slaughtering those who within the past month have been pointing fingers at them and reducing the number of casualties dramatically?
Maybe this major (though mostly unreported) reduction in casualties the past month is a sign it is time to draw down.
