Finally, the I-word
Finally, this administration has invoked the dreaded "I" word (Israel) to fight
terrorism. For the last six-and-a-half years, Bush and his cohorts have thought
that simply invading "bad" Arab countries and exposing their longsuffering
people to "democracy" would eliminate the threat of terrorism (even as hatred
toward us grew everywhere in response to our invasion of Iraq).
Now, the new line is that solving the Israeli-Palestinian problem is a "major goal" of this administration. So where was this major goal for the
last seven years?
Alaeldin Rachid, Fort Collins
It has always been where it has been. Being stiffled and placed on a back burner by Jew hateing leftists.
Posted by The Shadow on October 29, 2007 05:00 AMhow can this be as I thought the peanut farmer jimmy carter received his nobel prize for making peace over there. or maybe his was for global warming
Posted by on October 29, 2007 07:16 AMThe major goal of the last seven years has been warmaking, and thus war profits.
Platitudes like democracy, freedom, Saddam, and weapons of mass destruction were canards that divided America, killed a million Iraqis and thousands of Americans, whilst the Carlyle Group, Trilaterals, and Bilderbergs made huge profits.
One does not hate Jews if one calls for ending the billions of dollar subsidies to Israel for oppressing the Palestinian Arabs. See http://www.middle-east-online.com/english/?id=22264

Americans, spoon fed Zionist propaganda do not know about the Zionist motives behind the brutality of Israel apartheid.
Posted by Holy Reality on October 29, 2007 08:41 AMThe brutality of Zionist propaganda? Hmmmm, sounds a little hateful and pro palistinian there. no hatred of Jews coming from that camp.
Posted by The Shadow on October 29, 2007 11:49 AMImpeachment and conviction of mf Bush/Cheney before they preach their mf spiel about WMD in Iran and implement their awe and destroy mission accomplished dressed as fighter pilots landing on an aircraft carrier as if they were kids Galahad.
Why march over Iran? Because George Bush is talking about World War 3, and he's insane (insane) (insane) (insane) enough to start it. Because the IAEA says Iran is not building nuclear weapons, and the CIA says it would take at least 5 years even if they started now. Because the people who want war with Iran are the same bloodthirsty neocons who got us into Iraq. Because any strike against Iran, no matter how precise, would be met with counterattacks on U.S. troops in Iraq, on the people of Israel, and on oil shipments that would double the price of oil. And because Iran has not threatened to attack the U.S. in any way.
Posted by RG: Deicide r22037@yahoo on October 29, 2007 12:31 PMWhat I find really dumb, is the notion that through blood and money we are going to install a "democracy" in Iraq and that from then on they will love Israel. I have news for this rediculous administration: No matter who is installed (Shiaa, Sunni, Kurd), they will still hate Israel until the Israeli-Palestinian issue is solved (without saying the Palestinians should just go away). maybe everyone ought to be more conversant on that problem since it is the cause of all America's headaches internationally.
