Inappropriate photo of woman giving birth
Why would your editor think it is appropriate to post this? We are only centimeters from viewing her pubic hair! Clean up your act and realize that there are varieties of citizens (including youth who use the newspaper as tool for homework and current events) who are your audience) I am sure you had dozens of photos from which to choose. But of course, sensationalism wins out. Look at what it did for me- caused me to write to a newspaper for the first time in 48 yrs! Touché!

"We are only centimeters from viewing her pubic hair!"
Thanks for the laugh, Vicky. Maybe in future they will apply stork stickers over the picture so you won't be offended.
Posted by on October 11, 2007 02:06 PMWow....war in Iraq, political sex and money scandals, a government that lies to your face, the loss of civil liberties....and it takes "centimeters from viewing her pubic hair" to get you to write.
Thanks for proving that ignorance is bliss.
Posted by WhatareYOUthinking? on October 11, 2007 02:10 PMWaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, I'm so offended, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Don't go to the beach, you'll have heart failure!
Posted by RickyLee on October 11, 2007 02:10 PMHow do you know that you were "only centimeters from viewing her pubic hair"?
She may have been completely shorn.
I think they should have published a full-frontal photo. That would have been a "crowning" achievement.
Posted by VictorianAge on October 11, 2007 02:17 PMVictoria Lindsay has a point. Almost everyone has photos or videos of this very important and, to many, a private moment in their lives but does it belong in the newspaper? Obviously, some of the family involved thought it was OK but to many it's inappropriate or offensive. The RMN may need to think about this policy. But they've printed photos of a lot of things many people thought inappropriate.
Still, I wonder why Ms. Lindsay got so engrossed in the photo that she noticed she was "only centimeters from viewing her pubic hair"?
Posted by Stan B on October 11, 2007 02:27 PMShorn! LOL
Posted by on October 11, 2007 02:55 PMSo, then they should show aborted fetuses?

A woman giving birth to a baby is a good thing and there is nothing lewd about it. Young people who read the paper should know that a new person being born is a beautiful occasion, and not something to avert our eyes from.
Posted by karen on October 11, 2007 02:59 PMcentimeters away from viewing her pubic hair? What kind of newspaper do you get, because the one I looked at only had a side view and there was no way in hell of being centimeters away from the baby's point of entry into the world.
You are a silly woman, Ms. Victoria (hm? Does the shame come with the name....) I for one do not wish to return to "Victorian times, thank you, very much.
Oh, and by the way, before delivery, almost all women are shorn.
KISSES!!!
Posted by Sheila on October 11, 2007 03:50 PMsweet Olathe shorn.
Posted by on October 11, 2007 04:24 PMGreat....another editorial bashing Bush.
Sniff, sniff...
I smell a prude!
Posted by on October 11, 2007 04:39 PMTo 4:29pm: LMAO!!!
Posted by Dan on October 11, 2007 04:42 PMVictoria should have named her editorial "Razor This! F--- Bush!"

"ALl of you are idiots"
That line is not so "Fresh" any more
Posted by on October 11, 2007 05:12 PMThat was in poor taste a full page of a lady with legs all wide open half draped.
Couldn't they find another pic?
THe best way to bash Bush is to court martial him for him being a UCMJ-felon; AWOL, deserter, and guilty of illegal separation and discharge. This is only a 3 year federal prison sentence. Pretend he's black.
Posted by draftdodgingisntafamilyvalue on October 11, 2007 06:06 PMTwo years ago there was a photo in the paper of two combat casualties in Iraq. One was my friend. THAT wasn't offensive enough for you to write, Vicki? Jeez, you're sick.
Posted by Mac on October 11, 2007 06:10 PMI would think that this picture would inspire confidence. A mother and father welcoming their baby, grandmothers embracing in celebration. The picture successfully captured one of the most remarkable moments in life. Seems like a lucky baby to me.
Posted by Michael R on October 11, 2007 10:27 PMThere are far worse pictures in the paper all the time. Photos of Al Gore, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and Degette are the epitamy of gross & distasteful.

Oh, no , this pinhead is back. Guess he's trying to make a joke. Here's a suggestion pinhead: before you try your feeble posts get a book on spelling and grammar - and then at least you'll see that "epitamy" isn't a word. Or at least use the spell check.
Posted by drew on October 12, 2007 09:45 AMIts not a joke Drewl. You and your lackey Dums are the joke. Mr Epitome wipe your chin again.
Posted by TIRED OF LYING LIBERALS on October 12, 2007 09:54 AMWhat ever they do I hope they don't have a photo of "drew" being hatched. Talk about distasteful and disgusting!
When they start using a typo to knit pick over you obviously it a nerve and now they can't deny the truth
Posted by on October 12, 2007 10:08 AM"hit a nerve?" - hit a nerve about what? - the topic here is a photo of a woman giving birth - but I know it's hard for you morons to stay on topic.
I'm sure all you wingnuts would love to write all your stupidity off to "typos." Bottom line is that you, pinhead & W Bush don't add up to a halfwit between the 3 of you.
Posted by drew on October 12, 2007 10:39 AMI rented the movie from RedCan for a buck: Apocalypto. The movie is spectacular; the scene in which she is in a deep hole that is filling with water and she is near drowning and the baby is expelled from her birth canal into deep water is incredible. Victoria Lindsay will go bananas over this scene and file charges of vaginal discharge is injurious to eye-sight. Surely Victoria has given her vagina to Jesus Christ and its purity is forever protected. Ah geeze!
Disclaimer: I don't mind springing for a buck to see a Mel Gibson movie; however, I won't pay to see his movie because he is such a liar in claiming that Jesus the Christ carried his own cross when in biblical fact Mt. 27, Mark 15, and Luke 23 reveal that Simon carried the cross every inch of the way.
Posted by Richard Grimes, Deicide r22037@yahoo.com on October 12, 2007 10:40 AMDrewl your slobbering again. Now get back to your job of bagging groceries and collecting shopping carts. Your such a great contributor to the world. Keep riding the short bus little boy! You are such cheap entertainment.
Posted by TIRED OF LYING LIBERALS on October 12, 2007 11:06 AMWell, pinhead, at least I have a job. From the sounds of your IQ level you're probably collecting welfare checks down at the trailer park. You a friend of Keith's?
BTW: ""your slobbering" and "your such a great contributor." Instead of just surfing porn at the library, get a grammar reference book and look up "apostrophe" - it might be enlightening.

Or should I say "Chicken Little" the hatchling.
Boy you're dense. The truth of how disgusting and gross the left looks and is.
Are you following what I'm saying. After all I am "Spelling" it out for you!
Lord Give Me Strength!

Huh? Must be the Bush school of logic & elocution. Guess pinhead's friend has really lost it or isn't taking his meds. Probably going to run for office soon.
Posted by drew on October 12, 2007 12:11 PMOkay, this one got stupid fast (probably my fault, I'm afraid). I'll close by saying I think babies and birth are beautiful and nothing to be afraid of in a newspaper.

I'm glad my "Elocution" is getting to you. It was made to order just for you.
I feel flattered you chose to copy my "Elocution" verbatim.
Bush didn't have your fine "Elocution and he's President. Remember envy is one of the seven deadly sins.
You sound like you'll be needing your lithium if that vein on your forehead gets any bigger.
I guess you did get my drift after all.
PinheadI II,
Does one thought follow another for you or do you just spout off whatever random item pops into that little cranial cavity? Just remember that Denver Health is always there for you - you can shuffle in right off the street.

Man, that's lame- even by your lame standards!
Posted by drew on October 12, 2007 02:13 PMdrew
So you liked that one?
I used you to set those lame standards.
If the "Elocution fits use it!
Why I can't stop using drews egghead word that he thought made him look like he's had lots of fancy book learning.
Posted by on October 12, 2007 03:25 PMI can't help but believe that if the baby, when he/she grows up, reads the tripe coming out of some of you, he/she will be sorely disappointed in the having joined the human race.
ya EEjits! (to use the phrase, as spoken by a dear, sweet friend of mine)
