Dave Petteys of Roxborough Park writes:

When a gang of “chip on their shoulders” black youth terrorize and beat white kids, it’s called an “expression of ethnic identity". But if the white kids band together for protection, it’s called “racist white supremacy!”
The biggest racists in this whole mess are Jessie Jackson and Rev Al Sharpton! The foundational outrage in all of this is the Progressive theological notion that “only the dominant group can be racist", which is utter nonsense! Either we strive for Martin Luther King’s color blind society or we do not!
The reverse discrimination to “undo the years of discrimination” is fraudulent! And there is no mechanism to turn it off, no way to measure when “enough is enough!” It is conferring perks and privilege on the basis of skin color, which has fragmented our nation into warring racial and ethnic groups. Diversity is NOT our strength! It is a weakening division and conflict. (But weakening America has always been the Progressive agenda!) Our forefathers realized that in order to build unity they had to leave religious denomination off the table. So must we now concerning race and ethnicity. We enjoy our rights and liberties on an individual basis, not on the basis of our race. We need to eliminate the 3 pages of racial group check boxes we find now on every government application!
The racist agitators such as Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton need to be shamed, imprisoned, put out of business and recognized as the hypocrites they are!

You're just jealous because you didn't have the guts to say what's been need to say since the white liberals unleashed their undisciplinded crying, whinning double standard spoiled brats on the nation.

Telling them that everyone owes them something for the sins of the past. By destroying their family structure were a welfare check replaces a father just to get the black vote.
Affirmative Action, Quotas and the you're not responsible for the crimes you commit, it's societies fault mentality they have instilled in minorities of this country.

The left thrives on the racism they create and pretend that they are trying to eradicate.

Liberals have done more to divide the country with this tactic and dividing the classes and blaming everything on the weathy. Classic socialist stratagey. Divide and conquer.

Funny how that they are this by their own "Choice".

I think that most objective people, which would not include most of the posters above, would agree that black people are treated much more unfairly by the authorities than white people. However, Jenna was a terrible place to try to make that point since the blacks there are hardly the kind to enlist people's sympathies and since they were clearly perpetrators of racial violence. As one writer said, "right cause, wrong place".

WoW! I was born and raised behind "The Cotton Curtain", in SC/NC, respectively. Jackson was born and raised in Greenville, SC. For decades, I've believed that whites enslaved my forefathers, stripped them of their native language, religion, customs, and raped and and bred our women-folk like cattle, in plantation masters pursuits of Herculean slaves. I also thought it was whites who gave their black slaves cocaine, so their muscles wouldn't hurt. Today, criminal illegal Mexicans are giving blacks cocaine.

I also thought whites lynched Emmitt Till. I also thought it was white police officers (KKK by night), who drowned my step-brother in a river in Calhoun Falls, SC in 1963. They were a class act though, 5 days later they fished him out of that river, over in Elberton, GA. Man, Jesse and Al have been really busy emotionally, physically and financially, lynching their black brothers and sisters.

Dave, your points are well taken, the attack by three(three more observing) on a lone white boy has no justification. And violence does nobody any good.

But I ask you to please,... Get your facts straight, the white boy was hardly terrorized, nor injured. He left the ER after a brief visit to attend a school dance function that night. The blacks that ganged up were responding(wrongly) to verbal attacks by the white boy gloating on a black boy beaten by a gang of whites.

These protests are not to defend, or justify this attack. The protests are because the white DA charges the Jena six with attempted murder. This is after many white on black beatings were ignored by the same DA, this is after the same DA promised the black students he could be their worst nightmare.

You must be comfortable in your lily white neighborhood, spouting how blacks are racist aggressors while ignoring the institutionalized racism in Louisiana.

Do you feel good venting your hate for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? Sure these two are no shining example of modern statesmen, but show me a white politician that does so.
