Littwin’s hero
In his Sept. 18 column, “Bill Clinton elicits what we liked, would like to forget,” Mike Littwin speaks fondly of former President Bill Clinton. He neglects to mention the Whitewater fraud, Travelgate, accusations of sexual assault, allowing Osama bin Laden to escape twice, a contempt of court judgment, loss of Arkansas law license, pardoning many criminals, etc.
One wonders how anyone could be fond of people like this. Alas, Littwin appears to be the perfect representative of such.
Charles Newton, Highlands Ranch
Charles, you have overlooked an important fact. No matter what crimes the Clintons have commited or may commit, it is all in the name of the village and good for you. They only want to help you and your family out. By doing as they say and not paying attention to as they do your life will be improved through higher taxes, subjegation to foriegn entities and lack of protection from removal of gun ownership rights and disolvement of the military (do not forget Bill Clintons great government cutbacks and down sizeing came from some of the deepest cuts known to the military).
When a sixties reject like Littwin praises people like this it just goes to show you what drugs do to your brain.

Posted by on October 1, 2007 06:45 AMMo' GOP draft-dodgers and whoremongers. Well, at least Clinton isn't a 40+ years UCMJ-felon; AWOL, deserter, and guilty of illegal separation and discharge. Nor has he ever exterminated 70K Arabs, just for Judeo-Christian grins. I also don't recall Clinton using chemical weapons on unsuspecting Iraqi citizens, and starting a war based on WMD lies. Clinton never knew his daddy. I doubt if Clinton's daddy would have ever committed "high crimes and misdeameanors", like violating Truman's executive order, which desegregated all of our military units. Clinton's daddy wouldn't have carved out a Guard-NAM sanctuary for him, which would resegregate all of our military units (violation of the Civil RIghts Act too). Clinton's brother was no saint, however, he never robbed Denver's Silverado Bank of more than $1 billion either. Clinton's daddy didn't make $16 million from insider-stock trading at Global Crossings, Inc. America's 1st family, America's worst!
Posted by draftdodgingisntafamilyvalue on October 1, 2007 06:56 AMGeorge for two hundred millionth time there were no lies about WMD - Hussein used them on his people after Gulf War 1 which I think you mentioned you served during.
Enough with the tired Lies and more lies it is a really old falsehood.
so if the WMD's were already used why did we invade Iraq? What a chump
Posted by on October 1, 2007 08:22 AMThank God we had Bill. We need him back soon. As regards his mistreadings, it has been observed that when the Brits cast off their fruitcakes 400 years ago, they sent their felons to Australia and their religious nutcases to this country. Clearly, Australia got the better deal.

Posted by on October 1, 2007 10:28 AMNeither Bush nor the clintons stack up to Many of their predessors! Why you people stand up for either of them is beyond my comprehension. When the pros and cons of both men are stacked up, the cons overwelm the pros. As far as the country is concerned, these two men should be judged by how little of their personal agenda's was accomplished. THE LESS THE BETTER! the problem I see, is in the future when one moron in the whitehouse is backed by his party which might have an actual majority in the legislature. Also, no matter how you ague the point, The popular majority in this country is at best 51 or 52 percent, and tips back and forth. There has never been a True electoral mandate for a long time. And the threat of just over 50% of the people pushinbg around just under 50% is very real at this time. This is why the founders set up the constitution as it is, Not a Democracy, which is impractical and can even be tyranical, but a representative republic, in which the really important concerns, such as amendments, war, etc. reqire much more than a simple popular majority.
Think people, you argue not with a solution for the future, but a lesser evil of the past. Where is the logic?

"This is your brain on drugs."
Littwin's still frying his brain.
