I am a person of Hispanic descent and I have to tell you that it makes me angry that the other persons of Hispanic descent are expecting us as taxpayers to foot the bill for the education of their children in a bilingual school.
That doubles the expense of educating children. Why is it up to us to interpret the English language for these folks? If the parents of the children would educate themselves prior to coming to our country, perhaps it wouldn’t be as expensive for the schools and maybe then more schools could remain open.
It’s wrong for immigrants who come to this country to expect us to foot the bill for their every need! So let’s not blame the school district for the problems; how about we look in the mirror!
We can’t allow this abuse of our good graces and our programs that were designed for the American people to continue.
I am Mexican myself, however my family came here legally and assimilated to the American way of life including speaking the language of the land — English. If immigrants really want to contribute to America, that would be a good place to start!

Anthony there is one difference between your family and all the new comers. they are ILLIGAL and dont care about education or learning the English language. for one they dont have to as our elected officals have made sure everything they need to read or fill out for their free benifits are provided in spanish.
sure is a funny thing that the illigals get government forms in spanish but the other nationalities that come here legally have to learn English to get anything.

If we had more Americans of hispanic descent or any other immigrants who have come here legally,assimulated into our society,learned the language and worked hard for their American dream,just imagine what a great country we could be.
When we say assimulate we don't mean lose your culture or your diversity you bring.We mean come here legally,abide by our laws,learn English and put no burden on your neighbors,government,or society.
When immigrants come we are a better country. We can have a melting pot,of cultures and learning about people from all over the world,who came here legally to add to America, not take from American's,not expecting us to assimilate to them.
Aren't we in big trouble now?Look at the mess we are in.We need the faces of legal immigrants of all backgrounds to step up and say ,I came here legally, I am an American and I resent what illegals are doing to my country!!!
We need more Hispanics that are legal American's to stand up for their country.All we are seeing is groups like La Raza telling us Americans what to do. Trying to take away our rights and yours that your family has worked hard for.
Why not organize a march with legal immigrants standing up for their country,America.Wouldn't that be a sight to see.Legal Immigrant's demanding illegals go home and stop bringing you down to their level of illegality because you share the same surname.
In this day and age it's families like yours who are being hurt the most.We Anglos can't tell legal from illegal , but we do look at all Hispanics and wonder.I know that's not right,but with all the trouble illegal immigrants are causing,all the tax money going to illegal,all the out of wedlock border babies,you know the list can go on for pages.

People who love this country view illegal immigration as the central domestic issue. It negatively effects everything from health care to education to public safety. We must hold our elected officials accountable. Let us turn back the tide that threatens to steal our heritage. Vote only for those who take a strong stand against the invasion of illegal aliens.

This is like being asked to pay for an amputation, or "fell-good" liberal medicine, that you didn't need, don't want and that can do you harm. Most Hispanics who are here in the USA, and who are focused on American citizenship, want nothing more than for their children to speak correct English. These valued citizens know the difference between growing up and becoming an educated and professional citizen versus forever doing yard-work or being a bus boy.

That's why those who can speak English do so with their children as much as they can at home. These folks now the difference, and the difference is English.

Anthony Garcia has a majority concurring with him; I register my concurrence by voting NO on Hick's latest ballot measures unless they go against the illegal. Not just footing the education and medical bill, but now kids in the Lakewood schools who ask for other students to speak English are being reprimanded and made to apologize to the student for asking them to speak ENGLISH. I don't know why Parents are allowing this to go on in any school district. The only apology should be is the Principal apologizing to the student. We are not in a Latin America Country, We are not in Mexico. Maybe the school district needs to the Parents of the kids that can't speak English to apologize to the classmates for forcing them to bend to them and make them take EXTRA English Classes.

A massive amnesty for illegal aliens is probably coming up for a vote Wednesday!!!!

Senator Reid (Democrat) is hell -bent on getting this amnesty through the Senate as fast as possible and before we can fully mobilize the country, as happened when we defeated his Comphrehensive Amnesty bill in June.

Senator Reid is trying to push through another amnesty with S. 2205 (the Dream Act Amnesty) WITHOUT ANY ENFORCEMENT MEASURES ADDED!!!!!!!

He is using a rule that will avoid any commitee debate, hearings or deliberations. Filing for cloture means he can bring the amnesty up tomorrow. The first vote will be on whether to allow amnesty to come to the Senate floor for full debate and eventual vote. If we CALL, FAX and hold the "YES" votes below 60, we can stop the bill in it's tracks. We NEED 41 "NO" votes to guarantee killing it!!! CALL Wayne Allards office (970) 375-6311 and emphasize to him that a YES vote on cloture will be interpreted by all of us as a vote for rewarding MILLIONS of illegals with amnesty!!

This new Dream act amnesty bill will not help out a bunch of good kids whose parents are the ones who broke into our country by bringing them here as illegal aliens.
