Mike Rosen on Al Gore & Nobel Peace Prize
Tuesday, October 30 at 11:11 AM

Thomas M. Holzfaster of Arvada writes:

Mike Rosen’s ridiculous attack on Al Gore is typical right-wing drivel (“Al Gore’s ignoble Nobel,” Oct. 19). Gee, Mike, what a shame Bill Clinton didn’t participate in the filming, then you, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter could all link arms and be in your greatest zone of comfort attacking global warming science with a target you are so familiar with. Hey! Perhaps when you are proven wrong on global warming, (as you already have been) you can find a way to BLAME President Clinton for it, then you would really be in your happy place!!! The Conservatives (although what they have conserved is beyond me) are so happy to quote “expert” oil company paid-for scientific opinion, (the logic of which goes something like, “ Since no meteor has actually hit me in the face, then meteors must not really exist!!) that justifies runaway exploitation of all things fossil. Apparently to suggest that this could damage our environment is Liberal hysteria. One more thing Mike, when are you going to stop jumping at the chance to use phrases that suggest Nazism in those you disagree with??? It makes you look desperate.

thomas stop emitting so much co2. you need to go to algore and buy some carbon credits to make up for this rant and damaging effect on the planet.
ever wonder why none of these issues were brought up and signed by the clinton gore team during their eight years, or did it all start the day gore lost the election in florida?
why will algore not debate the issue with any one?

Thomas is a fart sniffer.

Ahh yes, the big-guns of the Republican party are out and showing their true nature- that of an eight year old.

Thank you for the discussion...

What does it matter Charles?

By questioning the information of GW, people are therefore againsts conservation, alternative energy, and activities that better our world in general.

When putting forth arguments attributed to GW discussions, you and others question that information rather than look it up yourself. I know you are a busy man Charles, but 30 seconds of your time would greatly add credibility to your discussions and questioning of facts.

When questioning the "facts" put forth by Mr Gore and questioning his credibility and sincerity as it pertains to GW, Mr Gore becomes the sacred cow and is above reproach. You personally have stated that there are others that talk of the same information as Mr Gore. Why dont people use others that walk the walk as the spokesman? People that WOULD have voted for Kyoto, those that try to live a "green" existance, at least part of the time?

NO NO NO thank you for the "Discussion"

Charles-

If Thomas' letter had anything resembling a respectable rebuttal to Rosen maybe we could discuss it.

Calling Rosens piece "typical right wing drivel" , Thomas uses the trendy new moonbat non- rebuttal to any well laid out , moderate conservative argument.

Notice how then Thomas immediately goes into a typical childish liberal rant, offering no reasoned counter to any of Rosens points, and ridiculously ends with-

"One more thing Mike, when are you going to stop jumping at the chance to use phrases that suggest Nazism in those you disagree with??? It makes you look desperate."

Thomas must not know the term coined long ago by global warming alarmists describing anyone questioning the anthropogenic angle as
GLOBAL WARMING DENIERS.

Are the members of the Nobel Prize panel really idiots? Isn't this one of the more auspicious and revered prizes in the world, and not given out lightly? You cons are sure trashing some smarter-than-you-are people.

Science is bad, religion is good

Religion teaches people to blindly follow their leaders. Examples of this are everywhere.

Posted by Bear on October 31, 2007 07:55 AM

Yep global warming is somehow a democratic conspiracy, lol. Keith you must have the IQ of a garden slug.

Tom, "Isn't this one of the more auspicious and revered prizes in the world, and not given out lightly?"

Not anymore. If it was, this year's prize would have gone to Irena Sendler, a woman who rescued 2500 children from the Nazis during WWII. Instead, it went to Al Gore for making a propaganda movie.

Recent recipients have also included:
Yassir Arafat.
Roberta Menchu, who turned out to be a fraud.
Jimmy Carter, a failed president who was given it only as a poke-in-the-eye of George Bush.

Damn, someone already beat me to pointing out the Rigoberta Menchu thing.

So BEAR from your defense of this thread you are a very religious person then?

Posted by on October 31, 2007 11:05 AM

This prize is so 'worthless' that George Bush coveted it ( and lost) and of course horrible people like Albert Sweitzer, MLK, mother Theresa and even Henry Kissinger have won it.
