Misplaced priorities
Monday, October 1 at 12:01 AM

So Sen. Ken Salazar returned from Iraq on Sept. 17 pushing legislation that would force the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people to secure the peace for Iraq (“Salazar out to end U.S. combat role,” Sept. 18).
Gee, wouldn’t it be nice if he would stay home and work on securing the borders and protecting the American people from invaders and lawbreakers who are streaming into this country illegally every day? Or am I dreaming?

Cathy wake up, wake up Cathy you're dreaming. for that to happen little ken would need the approval of the people who control his mind the dnc and the top dums in DC.
he is not even in favor of voters showing a valid picture ID to vote because it would prevent the dead from voting.

Um, 7:45. Are you crying because you couldn't figure out a simple ballot or because you realized Salazar isn't doing what's right for Colorado?

Salazar is a joke and a fraud! Both Salazars are for Hispanics only. K. Salazar vote AGAINST making English the official language of the U.S.! Voted FOR amnesty!

Look up his voting record it will make you sick!!!

You are not dreaming but you have been taken for a chump by the right wing. We are spending almost a billion a week in Iraq but the wingnuts have you convinced that illegal immigration is the most important issue of the day. As long as chumps like you continue to ignore the War in Iraq they can continue to pump as much money as they can out of us. Immigration is a red herring issue designed to keep you from recognizing the fiasco in Iraq.

J. sends me the consequences of illegal immigrant invasion and they are catastrophic. What can be done with the Catholic Church siding with the illegal immigration of which Salazar is a member (I'm assuming)?

Reid, et al said it long after McCain said it: Why can't you accept Senator John McCain's announcement in 2003 (2003) "The war in Iraq is lost?" It is time to quit pouring money into the dark hole (see Keefe cartoon 1/28/07 Denver Post).

You must be dreaming!!! If the salazar brother's did that where would they find laborers to work on their farm in southern colorado?

Obvious-

I think it is OBVIOUS that Cathy is trying to point out the fact that Salazar has no business in Iraq worrying about Iraqis when he has turned his back on the LEGAL citizens of his own country and ignores their demands that something be done to stem the tide of illegals pouring into this country and quit giving them freebies.

No one wants or likes this war but our elected leaders need to give a damn about what is happening HERE.

OBVIOUS.

There are a lot of single issue people out there. A U.S. Senator has to address ALL major issues ... and which issue is taking more money than any other and killing more Americans than any other? The WAR IN IRAQ. I for one am glad that the Senator made the visit ... and this should detract from his also addressing health care, immigration and a proposed Army land grab in Colorado.

Steve-

Apparently your finger can't press the key a SINGLE time.

There is too much business to be taken care of right here in Colorado. Salazar needs to focus on those first. He, like most other politicians, has ignored the illegal immigration issue long enough. That is HUGE here in Colorado, as well as the entire country.
