Re: Sex offender sought for failing to register Oh, what a surprise! Angel Montoya is on the run. A two-year old could have figured that one out. Why was he and his girlfriend-protector even let go in the first place after the girlfriend admitted what they had done to Neveah? The minute I saw these perverts walk out after their release I said to my husband, “They’re gone. They’ll run and even more taxpayer dollars will be spent trying to find these lowlifes.” Denver law enforcement looks pretty foolish.
If I remember correctly, they knew he failed to register as a sex offender when they held him as a suspect in Neveah’s disappearance. Why didn’t they do something with him then? Where’s Neveah’s mother? The article failed to tell the public if she has also fled.
She should have been held just for aiding Montoya.
Shame on the newspaper for sticking this small article on page 8. This should have been a glaring headline, or is everyone embarrassed about how stupid their judgment was on this one? That precious child was found dead in a park, the mother confessed and they were released? What a travesty of justice. Neveah deserves better than that.

Come on, all they (allegedly) did was murder a kid, geeze!

Now, if they'd sold a couple ounces of pot, they'd still be in jail and we could all feel a lot safer. Serve and protect?!? What a joke.

This whole debacle is political. The D.A. corornor's office and crime labs are waiting for the tax increases to pass so they can get bigger and better facilities. They are holding Neveah up as an example ,that they need these things.

Has this little girl even been buried yet?

Another fine example set by our friends in the Mexican community. I guess Montoya is here to only molest the kids that Americans won't.

Where is the outrage? I guess being hispanic is a real advantage these days. You can do no wrong it seems.

Funny we don't hear Butch Montoya complaining about this guy.
