Murdock challenged over speech issue
Saturday, October 6 at 12:01 AM

Deroy Murdock’s column of Sept. 23, “Intolerance by the left rife on college campuses,” spends several column-inches quoting and attacking universities that set limits on speech. Accordingly, I assume he would certainly condemn the administration at Colorado State University which announced a “plan to conduct an investigation,” and the deliberations of the school’s Board of Student Communications over the status of Rocky Mountain Collegian editor J. David McSwane because he used a word — only one — that aroused the conservative community.

D. Ferrel ... F&*( You, you F&^%. Are you a f*&^ing Jack*&^? DO you think this F*&^%$g language is appropriate for young children to f&^%ing use. DO you use the F$#@ word in front of your children or grand children. Or do you use it speaking to your f*&(ing wife?

DO you enjoy this word in everyday F*&^ing conversation?

Kind of f*&$ing absurd isn't it.

Deroy is a young brother of mine, that is unfortunately cut from the same mold as Connerly, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele (OREO pelted "victim"), etc. CSU President Penley (racist draft dodger) already censors black disabled Vietnam veterans. He has excluded us from CSU's 6-figure salary jobs and this bigot should be jailed for federal funds fraud, waste, abuse, and RICO violations. My family wants to thank Ritter too.

Deroy isn't aware that blacks in the south were subjected to some real perverted forms of censorship. In the 1960's, Curtis Mayfield and his R&B group, "Impressions", wrote songs like "We're A Winner", "Moving on Up", This is my Country", etc., all of which were banned on radiostations (monopoly) owned by whites, in the S.E. USA. The bigoted owners didn't want those songs played, because they feared they would "stir" up their otherwise "good and happy" Negroes.

I was borned and raised behind "The Curtain Curtain", in SC/NC, respectively. Today I live in a $600K+ home in the Tancredo Plantation. I'm still being censored. I made written requests to DA Chambers, Billie Mae Owens, Secy. of State Coffman, Arapahoe County Clerk, and Arapahoe County Commissioners, that I wanted Tancredo and State Rep. Balmer, struck from the '06' ballot. I "decided", based on my protections afforded in the Voting Rights Act of 1965, I didn't want to be represented by Balmer (carpetbagger), who PERJURED his state election application, where he falsely stated he had experience as a law clerk.

Chambers is the only one of these GOP Bull Connors, that responded to my lawful requests. This cow told me in an e-mail that "I" should contact the USAG for my alleged voter fraud complaint.

I also didn't want to be represented by Tancredo who had violated INS and national security laws, when he hired criminal illegal Mexicans to perform construction work at his primary residence. These "foreign nationals" had unfeettered access to his congressional computer, and they were illegally displacing qualified AMerican workers. Tancredo, in violation of national security laws (Larry Craig too), never reported his compromises to Rummy, DoD-DIA, and Congress.

I am also censored by US Senators Allard and Shamnesty Salazar (racist draft-dodgers). They have turned a deaf ear to my request for social security (SS) disability pay, based on my injuries incurred from serving in 3 deployemnts to Vietnam and spending 23 of my life, on and under, the oceans of the world, serving all American peopole. I made my request SS (Gestapo) in 2000. Denver SS (Gestapo) Judge Antionette Martinez, denied my request, soley because of the skin Im in. The Salazar brohters voted in congress for their recent family $484K federal farm subsidy (welfare for criminal illegal Mexicans), these brothers voted against my family and Rocky Flats families. The Salazar's didn't wait 7 years for their cash-cow. How many balck farmers got $484K in federal farm subsidies?

I proudly join US Rep. Murtha (USMC Vietnam WAr hero), "I wouldn't serve in toady's armed forces with these guys and their draft deferments".

Lt. Commander, USN, Ret.

Mr. Atkins,

Duh, what point are you trying to make? Universities are limiting speech of only one point of view the other has almost free rein.

Vulgarity is a sign of a weak mind and Universities do not want to support weak minds (I hope, not sure though).

More than the conservative community was arroused. Soccer Mom's can't be happy about it nor can MOPS.

Can't see how any decient human could find it appropriate.

Mr. Pickedalongnicksoitwouldbehardforpeopletorespondto

Dude get a life, your rants make no sense and no one cares about your personal problems.

And by the way the "toadys" would not have you.

Go out side, take a deep breath and go for a walk. Political thought is very bad for your health. You just have no apptitude for it.

of course there is free speech on campus..as long as it agrees with the belief system of the faculty and administration

Playing the race card has become a problem for black people who truly want change. It does not serve well those who use rational, reasonable argument and critical thinking to undermine the still remaining bias and prejudice that exists in some peoples minds. The only thing it does is embolden them to continue their irrational beliefs. indulging in pissing contests accomplishes nothing of value. We all must accept the fact that there will always be one form of prejudice against a group of people or another. The key is to ignore such people and carry forth with tolerance for all beliefs and people as long as any one group does not undermine the social status of any other or this country made up of a vast majority that adhere to the idea of freedom, justice and liberty for all.

Does the oh so courageous anonymous poster at 09:11 believe its point is any more pertinent at those institutions it would undoubtedly categorize as "liberal" than it is at such sterling places as Regent University, Liberty University or Bob Jones University?Allow me to introduce one cooking vessel to another.

deus X. Machina,

Now you know that "god", himself, appeard to Bob Jones and told the Bob Jones to build a university. Bob Jones said it was so, himself, right from the pulpit. And no one can expect "god" to allow people in his university to have any other opinion about anything than what he ("god") tells them to have, by way of Bob Jones - and Bob Jones' son today, since the old man is in his upper 80's and the youngster runs the place today; because "god" came and told him to.

And you surely ought to know that when "god" tells Bob Jones something, that's the way things ought to be; and it's the duty of everyone else in the world to listen to Bob Jones - and Pat Robertson, too - when they tell you what "god" came into the room to tell them; and YOU better believe it!

So . . . when "god" tells someone what to say, and what to do, at one of those secular places out there, those folks ought to listen, and get with it. No more of that thinking for themselves, when a man, or woman, of "god" says "god" wants it this way, or that.

Except . . . well . . . uh . . . er . . . seems as if the RMN today has an article telling us that Bob Jones's son is . . . being sued (!) . . . because . . . well . . . uh . . . folks kinda feel that he isn't doing just what "god" told him to do when he took over from his Daddy. Now, we can't have that. Can we? How dare folks sue Bob Jones University, or Bob Jones's son, when "god" tells them what to do, and how to do it? That's just as bad as things are at those secular dens of iniquity where they don't listen to those who heard fronm "god" this morning. And that's baaaad!

OG,

I recieved the RMN this morning but the only article I read about any Christian University was one on a scandal at Oral Roberts U. Did I miss something?

Well, Lt Commander Tenant was "retired" on a Section 8.

VB says "Can't see how any decent human could find it appropriate". Does VB remember that VP Cheney, on the sacred floor of the US Senate, told another Senator to "go F**** yourself" and that our honorable President also used the word recently. I know they are not "decent human beings" but I did not expect a conservative to agree with me. Cognitus

Stan B,

You're right, I was reading another publication, with an article on the collection of religious "colleges and universities" that have sprung up over the last half century,or so; and in it was a passage about the striking similarity in the way several of the founders described how "god" had "talked with them", and "told them" what to do. Towards the end of the article, there was mention of Bob Jones and the latest blow up over student dress code and dating regulations, with some references to material dealing with the way in which ofd Bob had mentioned how "god told him" things about how to make the rules; and it stuck in my memory.

Since, as you already know, I really think that all of these are sort of "interchangable parts" - like a standard size of nuts for loose bolts or screws - I goofed when writing about the RMN article, and named Bob Jones, instead of Oral Roberts,

My apologies to all.

Anyway, it's all the same difference. Just like an exercise in filling in the blanks. Roberts, Jones, Robertson, Falwell, Graham, Cox, Sunday, etc., etc. Just remember to keep the dates straight for any particular citation of events; and as to the source of "inspiration", it's "one size fits all" anyway.

Yep! You're surely right! My very deep seated prejudice is showing clearly. But, no apologies for that.

Sorry for the current goof, though. I should have kept the RMN at hand.

And thanks for catching me up.

OG

God told me to do that.
