Obey the law
Delio D. Tamayo offered here (9/19/07) what he describes as a “Latin proverb” that teaches, in effect, that if five people tell you that you are an ass; you are an ass. This must be the sort of wisdom that has lead to the Golden Age in Mexico. But wait a minute, if this is the Golden Age of Mexico, how come so many Mexicans are risking their lives streaming across the border illegally?
Mr. Tamayo, allow me to offer you a proverb from us Gringos who are “stranded on the far-right” - Obey the Law.
That one has worked pretty well up north here. It would probably work in Mexico too.
This letter has not been edited.
Wy should they obey the law? 2 "Latinos" are free to disappear beacuse Denver was too busy dragging their feet to file charges. One of which was a convicted sexual predator. Another "Latino" is wanted for the rape of a 9 yr old girl and Denver refuses to go after him even with the FBI offering to help. Why should they obey the law when they know nothing will be done? That's what you get in our great "santuary cities" like Denver and all. Free pass for them to break the law.

Posted by on October 2, 2007 03:32 PMI do not understand the deal with illegals wanting amnesty. I mean as it stands right now they have it great. they recieve free medical, government checks. They do not pay taxes, get a free pass when stopped by the police for all infractions includeing murder. Then if charged with murder all they have to do is go home and cross back after a month or two under another stolen identity.
If you question them you are a racist and subject to law suits. I mean why in the hell would a person want to loose this.
The mexican proverb of an ass only applies to those who are against the atzlan mythical state of which is trying to emerge in the west.
Posted by on October 2, 2007 04:32 PMJames, it is a little more "golden" here.

People are only proclaimed "asses" by pro Illegal immigration nut cases like you must be.
Posted by c on October 2, 2007 05:29 PMSharon B,
Yes, it is . And it's important to understand why that's the case or else the gold will slip through our fingers like shifting sand.
Posted by James Jones on October 2, 2007 07:50 PMMr. Tamayo does not have to "obey the law" because the laws are consistently bent to meet the needs and desires of all potential democratic voters. Viva sanctuary.
Posted by skeptical on October 2, 2007 09:13 PM5 Xcel Energy piping workers unfortunately died tonight. Some Gringo is guilty of criminal negligence, resulting in deaths (Xcel/Denver OSHA-MSHA). I wonder if any of these workers (called sub-contractors), were criminal illegal Mexicans, who couldn't speak English, didn't understand "gas-free" engineering concepts; personal egress procedures, tagout/lockout procedures, didn't know OEM chemcial safety application procedures, no live fire fighting training, use of emergency breathing devices, graduates of OSHA/MSHA safety training courses, etc. Xcel is a GOP financial fortress. USDOL-OSHA - MSHA Secy. Chao, is another GOP "Brownie" and political dumpee. She has 0 OSHA and MSHA BFOQ's. Richard Kelly (Xcel CEO) is proabably wishing he had hired me, as the federal law requires. You can always find the GOP posse, just follow the body-bags!
Posted by draftdodgingisntafamilyvalue on October 2, 2007 10:17 PMJim, your an ass. That's number two.
Posted by on October 3, 2007 12:04 AM"draftdodgingisntafamilyvalue". Is there any issue that you don't exhibit pure hate? You may be getting passed over because you have a sh***y attitude when interviewing, if your posts are any indication. You probably have created your own problems, and nobody is going to hire a malcontent.
Posted by clyde on October 3, 2007 02:00 AMJim - you are not an ass - you speak the truth and more people are waking up and speaking out against the illegal invasion.
Posted by mi on October 3, 2007 06:29 AMmi,
The truth is remarkable. There are people who direct their entire efforts of obscure the truth using personal smears or divert attention from the truth with false accusations.
But the truth remains that respect for the law in the underlying principle that distinguishes life in the US from life in Mexico.
And that truth, despite the determination of the sociopaths, will not just go away.
Posted by James Jones on October 3, 2007 09:38 AMGood letter, James.
A concept many of the illegal aliens don't seem to grasp is that if it's lawlessness and unfairness they dislike and that that is the reason they left Mexico, they are only brining their own form of lawlessness and unfairness here. If left unchecked, this country will simply become northern Mexico.
02:41 PM and 04:32 PM,
Yep, you bring up many reasons why it’s so tempting for illegals to come to this country. Great points. They have no incentive to obey our laws and no reason to worry if they are caught.
Illegal immigration is not at all a victimless crime. The ramifications spread far and wide.
Obey the law
Obey the first rule of law
Stay in Mexico!
Posted by on October 3, 2007 06:20 PMI hate the word latino ! I could scream!!!!!
Posted by on October 3, 2007 06:37 PMBusinesses obey the law first.
If they don`t break the law by hiring illegals, there will be no way for them to survive here.
Boycott companies that hire illegals. But first find out who they are and spread the news.
