So you people ever attempt to fact check prior to running wire copy?
The first sentence of Stephanie Strom’s (of the New York Times - should give you a hint to fact check) piece on Limbaugh, says ‘After Rush Limbaugh referred to some Iraq war veterans as “phony soldiers,” he received a letter of complaint signed by 41 Democratic senators.’ The fact of the matter is, Rush did NO SUCH THING! I listened to the show in question, as well as those that preceded it. The “soldiers” Rush referred to were NOT IRAQ WAR VETERANS. Typical of Democrats in Congress, Sen. Harry Reid and the 40 other Democratic senators distorted what Rush said in their letter to the president of Clear Channel Communications. They attempted to smear Rush, claiming he called some Iraq war veterans, “phony soldiers".
I expect distortions to suit their agenda by the New York Times and it’s biased reporters. I expect better of the Rocky. Were your editors attempting to further the distortion, or were they just lazy when reprinting the NYT wire copy?
The decline of the print media is largely due to self inflicted wounds, such as this.

A good point!

Goes to show you really shouldn't believe everything in the media. If the media can not get simple facts straight in this story, instead letting their bias interfere, then how can you believe anything the say or print.

Let me get this straight. Rush pop's pills. Lies like a typical con that he didn't. Gets busted with bags of pills which I would have been put in jail for dealing. And you say the dems are trying to smear him. I think he has done pretty good by himself Don you tweet.

The moonbats just love to get worked into a lather over Limbaugh. They want him to be guilty, so in their minds he is guilty, even if the facts clearly don't support it - they have a way of conveniently ignoring facts in case you haven't noticed. You're not going to convince them otherwise and you're just wasting your time Don.

The Limbaugh bashers should be checking in anytime time now to start throwing around the usual trite insults.

Typical of the conservative sheep, if facts support the truth, make up your own facts, and call it truth eg:
Saddam had WMDs.
Iraqis were responsible for 9/11.
Brownie did a "heckuva job".
The war is not about oil.
"We don't torture".
"mission accomplished".
"We don't wiretap without a court order"

The truth is, Rush was speaking of any soldier that spoke against the war. He knew it , We know it , any fool knows it and most importantly, God knows it.

Democrats wanted to move away from the General Petraeus -Betrayus fiasco of which they seemed to condone, as quickly as possible. The simply found someone to prey upon to divert attention.

My opinion is that the right, with their flip-out over the moveon/petraeus thing, scared the little wussies in congress, so they jumped all over the NEXT percieved smear, which happened to come from rushie.
It was the right that wanted them to waste time and money rebuking people for their opinions in the first place.

And Larry what in the world does his dependancy have to do with the fact that he was slamming a guy who claimed to be a soldier but had in fact been convicted of falsifying his service record to collect benefits? This same guy was the Democrats poster boy for all of our Ills in Iraq when he in fact had never even been there. Get your facts straight buddy as you and the rest of your kind are what is destroying this country.

He points out the fact that the media are the "sock puppets" for the "Phoney Americans [Democrats]".The VP of the NRA said the mainstream media censored his message to the American people but talk radio would let him speak freely on the issue of gun rights.The media and the "Phoney Americans [Democrats]" brainwash the public on the issues they back, like helping the terrorists win the war.The Democrats are going to try to close talk radio because we can get the facts there that the mainstream media do not give to the public.This is the main reason the Democrats are feeding their lies about Rush to their media friends.The media want Rush closed also because he is countering their lies and hurting their profits.Support Rush and all the talk radio hosts and help the NRA.These are two ways we can help fight the "Phoney Americans [Democrats]".
